radio's small, weak neck struggled to lift his large head. he squealed, not really know here he was. he lay beside his mother, trying to feel her chest rise and fall. but it never came. although a cat this age would not understand the concept of sadness, somehow radiokit felt, empty.
his tiny eyes flickering under the sealed lids, yearning to see. hunger clawed at his belly. it was all so confusing!

radiokit was somewhat surprised that siblings were quarrelling. it was kind of like watching mice fight over the smallest piece of cheese, both knowing that the cheese could barely feed them, but still wanting it for moral reasons. well, he thought it was complete rubbish. radio's long, elegant body once again got up, walking near the two siblings.
he felt kind of bad that his mother was getting teased by these nobodies. their might be plenty of mothers in this clan, but crazypaw was his. radiokit's tounge rolled around in his mouth for a second, think of what to say. "my mom's not bald! she's fuzzy." he said, almost too loud. he was pretty certain that he would get teased about her being his "mom".

he had scented the slightly typical mouldy seaweed that caressed the soft sand. radiopaw had been walking on the beach for a while now, hoping to bring something back to the camp. the sand was cold and fine, sticking between his toes, this never bothered him. half crushed seashells of different sizes lay against the grainy pebbles near the top of the shore. the sun was dizzy and the air crisp, yet he could tell the day was going to be hot.
the blue tabby wandered about aimlessly near the leafy part at the top of the beach. the sun had barely clipped the top of the horizon before he decided to head back to camp, radio's jaws held a few dead fish. he pranced over to the fresh kill pile, placed them, then took the robin for himself, and sat next to delicatepaw.
