Lily walked over, frowning slightly. Why was there such a large gathering near the border? Usually, that meant a joiner or a messenger, but there was no one there ... Then she noticed the signs of a scuffle, the scents hanging heavy in the air. She stared at the ground underfoot for a moment before raising her head. "Sutton is gone," she said, shocked by that. Well, hadn't she wished for this inwardly? So why was she feeling lost by this? Staring ahead, in the direction the tiger had been dragged in, she tuned out everyone else's voices. She was the one in command while Sutton was gone ... What could she do with that? This was no victory, there was no fairness in this. Gritting her teeth, she took in a deep breath before turning to face her tribemates, her face steely.
"Search and rescue? We know where she is. They left their scent all over the scene; the Exiles were never ones for subtlety," she explained, gesturing towards where the scent hung heavy in the air. "As for the 'rescue' part ... No." This was nothing personal, it was practical. Lily's thoughts whirled, and this was what made the most sense logically. That was important, right? Better than charging off for a grand rescue? You would have done it once, her thoughts told her, but she shut them away. "The Exiles is enemy to everyone, yet there is no need to draw their attention to us while we still have the Rift looking for revenge. What would you do? The three of you run into their territory and demand Su--Sutton back?" The Heir shook her head, turning back to stare at the horizon. "We have to wait. If you have any trust in your Pharaoh, she will make it back. She is capable and would understand we have no wish to begin another campaign." When did she become so boring? Her mouth pressed into a line at the thought. She just did what was best. Feelings were no part of this.

Welcome, new joiners! I love seeing all of the new faces around the Tribe; I can't wait for Lily to get to know everyone. And she'll be back to normal personality after the Civil War is finished with, as well.
Also, my class is taking a field trip, so I will not be online Thursday-Friday. Hopefully I can get some posts out tonight.

Lily wandered over, yawning and tossing her head back. Another joiner, that was good. There were a lot of them recently, but she was far from complaining. Lifting her head up to study the person, her mouth parted slightly before she grinned and ran over to Red, pressing her head into his shoulder before backing away from him. "Cousin!" she meowed gleefully, sound quite like herself. She had doubted that anyone would come, even when she had sought them out. And cousin, half-cousin, whatever -- they were family. Mags and Silentkiss were the only family she had experienced, and while she had chose Maggie, her mother had vanished. Turning to her tribemates with that same silly smile on her face, she gestured towards the lynx with her tail. "Mags, this is your, hm, adopted half-cousin. His name is ... Uhh ..." Oh, great, she had forgotten his name. Face going blank for a moment, she slowly looked over at Red, inwardly quite embarrassed.

Lily walked over, glancing around. A meet-and-greet? Well, there was no mention of her being barred, despite the tension between her and Sutton. Giving the Pharaoh a glance, keeping her emotions hidden, she sat down next to Maggie and smiled, all thoughts of conflict going away. It would be nice to officially meet everyone new, because she had certainly not caught all of those who had recently joined -- it was just chance if she happened to be near. Nodding towards the others, she meowed, "I'm Lily! Short for Sweet Perfume of Lily-of-the-Valley." Well, she was supposed to give her name, and even now, her long tribe name gave her pride. Puffing out her chest a little, she continued, "I'm Heir to the Tribe and Mags is my adopted sister." She glanced over at the young lynx and nudged her sister lightly. She was always glad of the decision to take the former fawn into her family; it was really nice having a sibling.

Thank you! I hope so, though it might be really boring, ahah. An overnight school trip should be interesting, though.
And cool, I look forward to it! When do you expect the pregnancy announcement will be made?

Lily lifted her chin up as a Westerosi approached her, as if trying to appear bigger than she was, which was rather hard considering she was little bigger than an apprentice. "Lily! From Tribe of Many Storms, here to speak to your leader about--" She cut off her little spiel at seeing Jonsi approached, and her face brightened for a moment before resuming a neutral expression. "Jonsi! Hi, I'm Lily, from ..." She paused for a moment to frown and shook her head. That had been odd ... Well, no matter; she knew he was leader, so she continued on with why she had come. "I want to talk to you about your alliance with the Rift. You're allies with my Tribe and them, but you must understand why you should cut off your alliance." Now, she was struggling to keep her expression neutral -- hatred and anger played on it for a few seconds, and her claws dug into the ground. Posture now stiff, but voice carefully controlled, the Heir meowed, "They gruesomely murdered some of my tribemates. They left a body across the border for no reason at all only a few weeks later! They have abused my tribe for no reason. They poisoned the water, they forced us to ...!" Her voice had risen and she paused, swallowed, and breathed deeply, lowering her head. "But that, the poison, was years ago. Now, they have not stopped their assault. I want you to see that they are not a clan to be allied with! They are as bad as the Exiles." Another problem for the SotrmTribe, but clearly one she was not as invested with. The Exiles were everyone's problem, besides.

Darn it! I had just opened that thread in another tab and was going to look at it after I replied to unread replies, ahaha. I am a failure, pfft.

Updated, the Civil War has basically begun, I just need to make a thread officially having it start. But, you can now announce what side your character is for, and I'll send you one of the beautiful badges for your character.

ooc: 'but she wouldn't start a war over it' xD

ic: Well, it was Lily's response that was awaited, and oh, would she deliver one. Standing at the end of the crowd, having been going to go eat some lunch, she was frozen, ears perked up. She stared at the ground, at her paws, almost trying to act disinterested and also trying to figure out what conclusion Sutton was getting to. Getting fat? The Heir herself was a little chubby from all the second lunches she liked to take ... and second dinners ... and brunches ... but something else was being hinted at. What could she be ...?
Pregnant. At that word, fear struck Lily and her mouth opened at little, as if she was going to cry out. She visibly shuddered and took in a deep breath, not wanting to lose control of herself at this moment. She had to congratulate Sutton on her children despite their differences -- though from who was quite perplexing -- and she couldn't let this take over her. There was no water here, but she felt like she was drowning. Trying to paste a smile on her face, she turned towards the Pharaoh when the next words hit her.
    From ... a Rifter?
The fear and smile dropped from her face instantly. First, shock, then betrayal, and finally the inevitable anger. Taking a step forward, she shut out whatever else Sutton was saying, about making a mistake and being in a questionable place. Nothing mattered besides what had been done. Moving another step closer, rage played on her face, yellow-green eyes lit with emotion, her fear only adding to her fury. "You wh*re!" she cried, finding no true word suitable for her feelings. Why had Sutton done that? The Pharaoh could not be trusted; there was no way she could be allowed to stand as Pharaoh with such a stain on her. "You have betrayed our values! You cannot simply pass this off. No friend of mine would have stooped so low. No StormTriber would have done anything such as this. The sight of you makes me sick." Her voice was low now, deep and serious. She was still scared, and she felt a little ... nervous? What excuse can I make for myself? she asked herself, and blinked, losing her focus. What did that mean? It made no sense. These weird thoughts in her head ... None of them ... But this was another issue. Spitting at Sutton's paws, she turned away, all thoughts of food forgotten. Lily could no longer be said to be herself.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 475px; font-family: georgia; text-align: justify;][size=10]
Lily stopped, stiffening. Sutton was daring to criticize her after coming out with a revelation such as this? Glaring back over her shoulder, she smiled darkly at her former friend, not letting the words get to her. She had changed? "It's for the better," she replied, tilting her head up rather arrogantly. "You're bringing this Tribe down. You stand only for yourself and your wrong ideals, and you won't admit you're wrong. You were going to have us be destroyed by the Rift because you didn't want to risk your own neck. You have forgotten what the Tribe was built on." She laughed softly to herself, but her eyes held no such mirth. "We are weak under you, a leader who doesn't even care enough for her own people to resist consorting with the enemy, a lifelong enemy!" Taking a breath to say more, she was interrupted by Crow. Sliding her gaze over to the tortoiseshell, she let her eyes linger on Crow's new body for a moment, almost sadly. But her odd sadness was short=lived, and her disapproval came back. "Like you aren't upset. Like everyone isn't thinking the same as I am," she replied quietly. Crow was only with Sutton because she was attached to her, not because of practicality. A shame.

Welcome, Vestigial! Yeah, who did you play?

Ahaha, I love the sleepover idea. We should either do it retro or after the Civil War so that Lily can join in. ^^

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 475px; font-family: georgia; text-align: justify;][size=10]
Hm, I don't know if I remember him. I do remember Jester, though! But welcome back, it's great to have you here.
I play Lily, the sort-of Heir of the Tribe. Usually she's bubbly, flirty, bouncy, and friendly, but right now she's the complete opposite of all of that, ahaha. She's starting a civil war at the moment, so ... There's that.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 475px; font-family: georgia; text-align: justify;][size=10]
I think it's really interesting! I love that current plot about becoming more anti-male or not, and how members directly influence it. If I had any time for a new character, I would look into joining it. There's some cool characters there, and the pace suits me.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 475px; font-family: georgia; text-align: justify;][size=10]
Lily was done with it all. Her trusted friend and respected leader? All of that was crushed by now. She couldn't just sit around and hope that everything would go right, because Sutton would doom the tribe. She would not let her beloved home go to waste, she would never. This was for the good of everyone, they would soon realize that. If only Sutton would admit her mistakes and change her ways, then this could have been avoided, but the Pharaoh was too stubborn and stuck in her own mind. This had to be done.
Striding to the middle of camp, the Heir stood proudly, yellow-green eyes glinting and cold as marble. "My tribemates," she called out, seeming in complete control of herself, voice calm and commanding, "we have recently become aware of the grievance that our leader has caused us. She has dragged the honor of this ancient Tribe into the mud, and left us open to be mercilessly attacked and mocked. She has given us no chance for fair justice, and cares not for the lives of our friends that have been lost in order to tend to her own safety. She refuses to chance her wrong ways, and as so, is not fit to call herself our Pharaoh. For these reasons listed, and further ones, I stand up and declare that I will not follow under her rule any longer." Lily was very good at delivering this speech, her words gradually rising with passion and force, captivating any who had come to listen to her.
"I cannot stand by and watch this happen," she continued after a breath and looking around at everyone, focusing on every individual. "I ask you to look inside and wonder what is right, what is best. I am sure that you will come to the same conclusion as I have. I cannot stay in this camp any longer, not while Sutton reigns. If she wishes to atone for her mistakes and step down, then all is forgiven. If not ..." her voice turned harsh, "this is war until I can bring her down myself!" Casting one last look over her tribemates, nearly trembling with anger and determination, Lily whirled around and began to walk out of camp. "Follow me if you know what is right," she called back, continuing to look ahead. She knew a good place to set her people up ... Soon, everyone would understand. This moment would go down in history as she set the Tribe of Many Storms right again.
