[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt][color=#B1B15D]"me, too!" rainbowveins volunteered as she trotted over to vengeancekit and the other new members of the arcadianclan marines, leaning against winterbones like she always did. she wasn't sure about which of the groups she would join—air was out, of course, since she didn't have wings. she was a fast runner, which meant she would be good for earth, and she was getting better at swimming each day, which would benefit her in the marines. but she'd cross that bridge when she got there; this idea was still new, right?

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt]"hey, guys," rainbowveins piped as she trotted over to the three toms, stopping beside vindicate and offering them all a light smile. [color=#B1B15D]"ooh, are we swimming? let me go get my floatie if we are," the blue calico purred, her sleek tail flicking wildly behind her. she always jumped at the chance to anything related to the ocean.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt]starclan, no. oh, starclan, no. not her daughter. not her beautiful, beautiful daughter.
[color=#B1B15D]"vani!" rainbowveins wailed as she rushed over to vanillapaw's body, wriggling her way past the small crowd so that she could sit next to her. trembling white paws touched vanillapaw's face and crystalline tears dotted her pretty face, contorted in misery, as she stared at the corpse of her daughter. not again. not again. vanillapaw had been in a coma—when she'd woken up, rainy had felt like everything was going to be normal. but it wasn't. it never was. someone always had to die or leave or get hurt, and her heart couldn't take it.
sobs racked her thin shoulders as she leaned against winterbones, grieving for her dead child.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][color=white][size=9pt]rainbowveins trotted over slowly; no smile graced her facial features today. vanillapaw was dead, and the mother was heartbroken. hopefully, though, being in the ocean would be able to cheer her up, even if it was to fight. shuffling over to winterbones, the femme leaned against the monochrome tabby, waiting for the training session to begin.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt]ooc. four omg i'm crying
[color=#B1B15D]ic. rainbowveins's olive eyes were wide with horror as she approached the scene, staring into the unblinking, unseeing eyes of toast. oh, no. first vanillapaw was dead, and now toast was in a coma? though she didn't know the
breakfast-themed boytoyserval too well, she cared about him. plus, anima was not going to take this very well. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt][color=#B1B15D]"hey, cinemaclub. i'm rainy," the blue calico murmured as she trotted over to the blind tom, offering him a small smile, even though she knew he wouldn't be able to see him. she was trying to be cheery, even though it wasn't easy when her daughter had just died and her brother-in-law was in a coma. but that was how she dealt with grief—she tried to ignore it, push it aside. it never worked too well.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt][color=#B1B15D]"hey," rainbowveins meowed with a tiny smile as she trotted over to greet mayspeculator, takano, and hazelpaw, her light paws pressing prints into the sand. vanillapaw had died at the beach, yet the bodyguard loved the ocean—it was conflicting. hopefully, vanillapaw would return, as oceanpaw had. the femme wordlessly took a seat beside her half-brother, leaving her single-word greeting to hang in the air alone.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt][color=#B1B15D]"wow!" rainbowveins exclaimed as she rushed over to join mayspeculator and vindicate, her wide olive eyes locked onto hazelpaw as the femme glided through the water. a seal! now, all the blue calico wanted was shapeshifting or multiple possessions—then she could turn into a seal, just like hazelpaw! though she was getting better at swimming every day, nothing could compare to a seal, which was simply built for moving through water. the sight made her forget her troubles for a moment, even though the ocean tended to remind her of vanillapaw now.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][color=white][size=9pt]rainbowveins approached in a lame tracking post, her olive eyes concerned for the two.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][color=white][size=9pt]noted, have fun x3
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][color=white][size=9pt]rainbowveins silently pushed her way through the crowd to reach her wife, crouching down beside the bleeding and crying femme. she didn't fuss or worry; she didn't tell her to stop drinking. she didn't say anything, actually. she just leaned against winterbones like she always did, her thin shoulders trembling in just the slightest. as much as she wanted to believe that vanillapaw would return like churchpaw had done, she just . . . didn't know if she would.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt]"i doubt may has the guts to be a serial killer. believe me, i know," rainbowveins responded wryly as she trotted over to her clanmates, the faintest of smiles on her pretty white face. it looked strained, though. sad. having a murderer as your split personality wasn't exactly funny, after all. turning to her half-brother, she meowed, [color=#B1B15D]"back as a bear, i see."
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt][color=#B1B15D]oh, well . . . bye, xavier," rainbowveins murmured, slightly confused at this sudden occurrence, as she trotted over to the scene. apparently, vindicate's cheetah body had come to life, punched him in the nose, renamed itself xavier, and was now leaving. alrighty. a perfectly normal day in arcadianclan, everyone.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][color=white][size=9pt]rainy? <3

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt]why not help out? rainbowveins needed something to distract herself, and this would probably help. movement always got her mind off of things she'd rather not think about. so the femme trotted into the alae family cabin and meowed softly, [color=#B1B15D]"anything i can do to help?" her legs were thin, but they were strong, since she jogged and swam daily.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt]ooc. @four; it's called "ability to glow" B^)
ic. rainbowveins stumbled forward tiredly, her clumsy steps mirroring those of someone who'd just gotten wasted. but it wasn't her fault that mayspeculator had suddenly decided to start glowing in the middle of the night, was it? leaning against winterbones, the bodyguard yawned before meowing sleepily, [color=#B1B15D]"i've never seen this power before."
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt][color=#B1B15D]"w-what happened?" rainbowveins cried, her voice shrill as she rushed over to the bloody scene. pinkpie's body laid on the ground, shredded and bleeding heavily. beside her, pinkamena—or, rather, pinkpie in pinkamena's body—had a cut on her throat. the femme turned her horrified olive gaze to vindicate, anxious for an explanation.
