JUST WISH YOU COULD HAVE SEEN ME,

WHEN IT USED TO COME SO EASY

tall, muscular tabby cat - male - blue fur/silver stripes - ex soldier

Malakai was surprised to see someone newer than himself and Vanilla hosting the tasks for Gold, but he wasn't about to turn down the chance to do something for the clan. Getting to hims paws the large blue tom would make his way over, silver tstripes glinting in the light. "Hey." he'd call in greeting with a nod, "I'll take one."

It was early afternoon in the Velu forest, and Malakai was just waking up from a brief nap . He'd been up before dawn to train in the cooler weather and had spent most of the morning hunting, and after having split his finding among some of the other members of the clan he'd dozed off with a full belly in the sunlight by the Koi Pond. It was unusual for the large blue-furred tom to laze about like this, and if he was honest he was a little embaressed at having fallen asleep like that in the middle of the day. He'd quickly sit up and liick his chest a few times to flatten the fur there, trying to act casual. "Anyone want to join me on patrol?" he'd call, straightening up to gaze around with his icey blue eys. The tabby wasn't sure if he'd managed to rouse anyones interest, but he figured it was worth a try before he went out on his own.

"Sleep couldn't find me, either. I was too deep in my thoughts."He knew it wouldn't always be that way. Malakai was a family man, I guess you could say. When he chose a clan he gave it everything he had to see it prosper and do well, to protect the people around him. In short, despite how distanced he could be at times, Malakai was quick to take pride in whatever place he called home. And he'd lived enough lis to know that he would get over his doubts soon enough and let clan life take him like he always did. Still, those sleepless nights weren't very much fun.

"Did you want some company for your walk?" he'd ask, feeling bolder. "If not it's fine, I just thought it might be a good chance to get to know each other better."

Gold was, arguably, the person he'd spoken to the most since his arrival in the Dark Dynasty, but that being said Malakai still didn't know the male very well. He seemed welcoming and well mannered, and he could only assume there was a fair bit of optimism in there as well since he'd already promoted Vanilla and himself into the ranks. But what did he really know about the other outside of assumed traits? And, as weird as it may have sounded to admit even in thought, this was his Leader. Malakai wanted to know what was at their core and if they were deserving of the respect he was eager to give them. And you couldn't find things like that out through casual encounters.

Would anyone like to plot with Malakai? I'm open to anything short of capture and death/maiming and would especially be interested in developing strong friendships, playing a big brother role to others, taking on an apprentice, one sided crushes on him, and just about anything else!

If you need a little I do about him, Malakai is a large blue and silver tabby cat with icey blue eyes. Hes known for being very hard working and extremely loyal to his peers. He can be a bit rough around the edges, coming off as blunt or suspicious toward many strangers, and he has a strong moral compass despite being willing to fight for what he believes in.

I apologize that my idea is kind of long, I just wanted to be as descriptive as possible :)

Length of time on site: I've been around for quite a few years, having played active hp characters in the non-trad area.

Plot idea: The discovery and potential domestication of new species that are native to Agrelos. When the world change happened we were offered the chance to purchase new animal forms created by you guys that were custom to Agrelos. I think it would be an interesting plot if the other native species to agrelos started playing a more active role on the site. There are literally a dozen ways you can spin this, but I think the most interesting/fun ideas to use would be the following

Main group effected: I was thinking that any clan that wanted to partake could reply to a thread where a staff volunteer is assigned to their clan. this volunteer would be responsible for creating the threads in that clans board.

Does your plot have interactions with other groups (if so, which ones)?: If clans wanted to, they could request that their plot volunteer collaberates with another clans volunteer to create a plot that effects both of them.

[b]How does this impact the lore?:[b] Basically this would flesh out what makes Agrelos it's own world. As the site progresses from here and the history begins to write itself the clans would have various tales to recount that involved the creatures of Agrelos they had to learn to live with, rather than just the old world people living here with the few natives that started out. I know we've come a long ways since we first moved to this build but I think it could be a really nice addition to how things work in the future. In addition to helping the lore, adding a pet aspect to the game in the way that I suggested would allow the site itself to benefit by encouraging people to post more (thus giving them gems to purchase the basic pets) and then allowing them to invest in the more intricate pets through purchasing credits iwith real cash. The skins I suggested could do the hsame thing. I know people can purchase mutations to make their characters custom already, but as I mentioned you can make these skins entirely new species altogether.

WHEN IT USE TO COME SO EASY—

Malakai often experienced something similatr to Gold, in which he felt the path he walked was one he'd worn down many times before. There was an undeniable familiarity in almost everything he did, from the patrols to the raids to attending meetings like this one. And yet, there were just enough changes to keep things fresh. Some things were always constant, but the variables changed, and it was those changing variables that kept him looking forward to things.

Meetings were an excellent example of this, and when the large, muscular tom heard Glittergold call out for his clan he was quick to make his way toward the throne room. Before joining the Dark Dynasty Malakai had spent many lifetimes in a large sabertooth body, but in this new chapter of his life he'd felt that a new form would be fitting, and so while his old form was around for him to use when needed, the ex-soldier was now most commonly found in the midnight blue fur of a short0heair domestic cat. Tall, well muscled, built for the hunt and the kill, he was no less intimidaiting in this battlescarred body, his icey blue eyes unreadable and gaze hard. He moved with the swift, purposeful steps of soldier responding to their Leader, and was among the first to join the white furred feline in the throne room.

With a respectful nod the silver striped male would seat himself an d quietly await the arrival of the others. The clan had seen a small influx of members and he was looking forward to seeing the new faces that he hadn't come across yet. As socially awkward and unapproachable as he seemed with his always-serious expression, he had a great deal of loyalty invested with the Dynasty and wanted to see it thriving.

Malakai was pleastenly surprised with how many others there were at this meeting, and he couldn't help but wonder what the coming weeks would be like now that the clan was beginning to thrive. Turning his attention back to Glittering, he'd listen as the white tom went on to make his announcements. He tried to take note of the names of the newcomers, and smiled when he heard his name called for another promotion. On the note of Ambassadors Malakai would perk up a bit, figuring that this was an area he could help in even if socializing wasn't his forte. "I wouldn't mind helping out with the Sanctuary." the blue tom volunteered.

Hearing that company would be just fine, Malakai would smile softly. He wasn't a total stranger to companionship. Back in the Blackheart Rogues, during his apprentice days when he'd been nothing but a stubborn and impulsive youth, he'd had Snowwhite, Pardus Umbra, Baluar, and so many others... That had been so long ago though that it was hard to grasp the feelings of contentment that he'd had back then. Even in Riverclan when he'd been Deputy he'd only been close to one person, someone he opened his heart to and had lost soon after. In the quiet of the palace courtyard though, he found he could recall something of them when speaking with Glittering.

"So, how long have you been with the Dynasty?" he asked, figuring that this would be a good chance to get to know the other a bit better. That had always been the hurdle that kept him from forming those true friendships after all, his inability to allow a personal life along side his work life. But he didn't want that this time around, and his comfort zone had to be challenged if he was going to find what he was looking for this time around.

"I can Ambassador for them for now. You might find someone better suited for it later on, but I can at least share news and bring gifts on the regular to show them we have an active interest in them." he would reply. He thought that they both knew he likely wasn't the best for the job, as being outgoing and making friends wasn't something he was well versed in, but he knew how to get a job done and cared enough about the Dynasty to make sure a proper effort was put in, and so he had no qualms with taking up the task if Glittering was okay with it.

As was typical by now, Malakai was quick to respond to Glitterings call. Swift pawsteps would bring the large blue and silver tabby to the throne room, and he'd slip inside with a brief nod to the white furred tom sitting upon the throne before taking a seat.

WHEN IT USE TO COME SO EASY—

Patrolling the territory was a common passtime for Malakai, right up there with training and making his usual rounds of the camp to make sure everything there was content. And so it wasn't really surprising that he was one of the other members to catch the scent of the Exiles hanging around. A low growl would rumble in his throat as his paws led him after the trail and he spotted his clanmates with a stranger. It was in the solciers nature to be suspicious and impatiant with anyone that might pose a threat to the things he cared about, and no matter what parts of himself he changed to better benefit his new life that was something that would never change.

In silence he would head over to join his clanmates, slipping in silently to flank Glittering with a cold stare settling on the Exiler. The other seemed uncertain and hesitant, lacking any outward aggression, but this was enough for Malakai to let his guard down.

JUST WISH YOU COULD HAVE SEEN ME

WHEN IT USE TO COME SO EASY—

Malakai was adjusting to his new body, just as he was adjusting to his new life. It was different from what he was use to on both fronts and it was hard not to just go back to what he knew. To what was comfortable. After all, it hadn't necessarily been bad, it just wasn't what he wanted for himself anymore. And so he'd retired his sabertooth body, put it aside to use only when he really needed it, and now wore the muscular form of a large blue and silver tomcat. It was the body he'd been born in, all that time ago in the Blackheart Rogues, only the midnight blue fur and the silver bands were more akin to the tiger body he'd been so commonly seen in up until he'd joined the Dynasty. It was the mark of his new life and his old, a promise to live out the life he should have from the very beginning without completely forgetting who he'd been for so long.

Despite his determination to have a worthwhile experience this time around by changing certain aspects of himself, there were no doubt other traits that would never die. His workaholic nature was one of said traits. The Dimera had been a soldier from the start, a child who tsaw the world through serious eyes and who was always working hard to give back to the clan he set his loyaltys with. And as he grew he'd continued to do just that, throwing himself into rigorous training routines, patrolling constantly, always on the lookout for trouble. And even though he was a much smaller version of the sabertooth he'd once roamed the earth as, the solid muscle beneath his sleek pelt and his agile strides were warnings of the training and experience the soul inside the body had seen.

When he caught the scent of a stranger out near the border, he was quick to change his course to follow after it. While he was wary to remain welcoming to newcomers, the blue eyed enigma was eager to see off any troublemakers. There'd already been an Exiler caught wandering earound, and while nothing bad had come of it yet he still wasn't keen on the idea of strangers being left out there unchecked. And so, soon enough he was able to spot the form of a direwolf waiting just up ahead. The fact that they hadn't ignored the perimeter markings was promising, and he was mindful enough of this to show the same respect by leaving any hostility out of his own approach.

"Welcome to the Velu Forest. What brings you here, stranger?" he asked, his tone neutral if not a bit formal, too stiff to be considered a cheerful welcoming, but even enough to lack outright unfriendliness- he just wasn't one of those 'welcoming commitee' types..

WHEN IT USE TO COME SO EASY—

Malakai was no stranger to the meetings by now, and it was because of this that he was able to pick out the unusual urgency with which Glittering walked. Before the call t gather was even made the large blue and silver tom was sitting up with his ears trained in the Leaders direction, shoulders stiff as he realized something was wrong. When the white cat finally called out, Malakai was among the first to make his way over, remaining on his paws rather than taking a seat. This gathering was different, from the way Glittering approached the throne to the way he immediately launched into his announcement.

Malakai felt his claws flex and bite into the wood of the palace floor. "It could be dangerous to go alone. I have faith that Volary Flights wouldn't strike at us without a reason, but if whoever did this has an interest in us specifically then you might make yourself a target by going by yourself."

What he really wanted to say was 'let me go with you', but he knew it didn't have to be him. Anyone capable would do, so long as they could make sure Glitteringgold made it back in one piece. Maybe it was the soldier in him, longing to protect the only superior he had, or maybe he just didn't like the feeling that settled in his stomach at the thought of the white tom having to watch his own back with an enemy afoot.

WHEN IT USE TO COME SO EASY—

Malakai didn't fancy himself as much of an artist either, but to be fair he'd never really tried. He had a creative mind and a keen eye, but art had nevr been the focus of anything in his life. There was no room for color and art amongst workouts, patrols, training sessions, apprentices, politics, and work. Not in his world, at least. For a long time now, maybe as far back as he could remember, his life had been grey, just dull tones. And so when he saw Rikus setup he was skeptical about what he could offer to the activity, doubted there was anything. And so his first instinct was to offer a polite nod of greeting to the pair before going on his way- but, that wasn't right, was it? Instincts, routines, and default settings were exactly the habits he was trying to break, and it would do him no good to stick to them now. No, as embarressingly bad at it as he may be, he had to go and color on those damn paper lanterns.

Swalling down his cynicism, Malakai would pad over to the group and take a seat among the pair. His icey blue eyes would scan the materials laid out before them hesitantly, but that hesitance wouldn't last long, and soon he was reaching for a blue colored pencil. "So, what kind of stuff are we supposed to draw on these- or are we just coloring them?"

WHEN IT USE TO COME SO EASY—

"Just three months?" Malakai would echo, sounding a little impressed. "You seem so at home here. I would have guessed a lot longer than that." It was a compliment though. To Malakai, clans were extremely importnt. They represented family, unity, home, and it was important to protect those things. And so in turn, it was important that whoever was leading your home seemed just as dedicated. Sure, Malakai may not have been here that long, but he'd always been the sort of person to throw his all into whatever he set his mind to. And with the Dark Dynastys moral views and active stance on certain subjects, it was belief system he could give his everything to. He'd always been a protecter, a guardian, a seeker of justice. He wanted the good to be happy and thrive and he believed in punishing the wicked and bringing them to justice. A peace-lover, but actively willing to protect that peace by drawing a line and defending it. He wasn't so naive as to believe that everyone gcould be good and kind, and he knew that there had to be people willing to sacrifice themselves to a darker path, one that waded through the darkness and cut it down so that the light wouldnt go out.

At the other toms words Malakai found himself unable to answer right away. He'd been all over, really, but he supposed that there were only two places that really felt like home to him before. "I was born in the Blackheart Rogues, way back when Church led them, and then Baluar. I led them myself for a while, but things happened and I ended up leaving." It was hard to dredge up the old memories, partly because it was bitter to recall the things he no longer had, but also because it had been so long ago, literal years. So much had happened in between then and now that details escaped him, too many lives lived to hold on to all the details. "After that I became a Deputy in Riverclan, back when Camilla was Leader. I thought about going back there, but..." he shrugged. There was nothing left to go back too. "I wasn't sure where to go for a while, but then I remembered Darkclans old creed, being justice-seekers and all, so I figured this would be a good place to call home. So far it's working out." he'd say, offering a small grin at the last words. It was true, too. The Dynasty was really starting to feel like a place he could stay, a place where the people and and places could mean something to him as fiercly as the black stone castle of the blackheart rogues once had.

To say he was surprised was an understatement, but his gratitude shone through regardless. Advisor was... third in command, and a very important role when it came to helping guide the clan. The large tomcat would straighten up and set his shoulders, lips curving into a proud smile. "Thank you, Glittering, and I'll make sure to check in with the Sanctuary later today."

JUST WISH YOU COULD HAVE SEEN ME

WHEN IT USE TO COME SO EASY—

The journey to the meadows from the Velu Forest was a long one. He'd had to pass by several other groups and traverse numerous landscapes in order to finally reach the sprawling meadows of the Sanctuary, but his persistance paid off. It was late in the evening when he arrived, the sun sinking low on the horizon to paint the skies in bronzy oranges, bloody reds, and deep purples. With the scent lines in front of him the feline would come to a halt, the midnight blue tom settling on his haunches while his silver striped tail curled neatly around his paws. His domestic form was small when compared to creatures like wolves or bears or dragons, but among his own kind he was a large, muscular cat whose short fur was wore scars like medals. Despite this though, he didn't seem to hold an aggressive pose. He held himself tall and with a serious look on his face, but he was waiting patiently at the border and wore the scent of the Dark Dyansty, and it would become apparent that he was there on business of somekind easily enough.
