After a few moments of silence, the lifted her head. "May Zara Scion rest in peace." Penny said, voice sounding emotionless and hollow.

Penny was broken.
Zara's suicide had seriously taken a toll on the usually excitable, cheery fem. Her heart ached for the sweet, young lioness. [i]Young. |
She had been so young. She had so much to live for, so much of her life to complete. Zara would never get married, have children, not even go on a first date. Nothing. She was gone.
For the last couple of days since the incident, Penny had spent ninety percent of her time holed up in her cottage. The other ten percent had been absentmindedly drifting around camp like a ghost. She hadn't eaten at all.
The girl had been taking time outside of her house to walk about through the woods, contemplating the current going-ons within the clan when she heard the screams and sharp breathing of shock and slowly approached, eyes looking emotionless and dead.
At the sight of the body, Penny choked. She found herself silently gasping for air, a sob escaping her jaws. The feline flattened her ears to her skull, golden eyes full of pure sorrow. She was sad. She was mad. She was shell-shocked. Penny stumbled over to Mamura, knowing that he would probably want to be alone but she couldn't take it. The isolation had been too much for the bubbly feline to handle.
Penelope aimed to merely, very carefully brush her pelt against the new leader's, completely silent.

She wasn't the tough, bubbly, enthusiastic little red tabby anymore. She was sad, vulnerable, and constantly quiet. The girl spent most of her time curled up in her bed, either sleeping or crying. One would call her weak, even selfish. However, Penny hadn't been very close to Zara (she still missed her presence a great deal), but she really looked up to Iason as a role model and even father figure after Volcanicash had vanished.
Currently, Penny was curled up, silent, for the fifth day in a row in her bed. She was starving, but she wasn't going to eat, to bother anyone.
