Jaykit was startled awake by the noise.
"Fernkit! I had just started to dream."

Who's Fernkit and Honeykit's mother? (and can i play her?)

    Oh, okay :3

Dawnstar sighed and turned back to Fawnstep.
"Honestly, I don't know where she gets it from!"

Jaykit got up silently and padded after Fernkit. He found her lying under a tree, curled up. He decided not to wake her, and went looking for Honeykit.

    Jaykit nodded.
    "I couldn't sleep anymore."

OOC: since it's what it's doing know, want here to be a bad thunderstorm, one that knocks a tree into camp? :3

Ooc: I would say yes, but it seems a bit far fetched that she would go that far. And I doubt Jaykit's would've found her that quickly.

    IC:

    Jaykit smiled.
"Hey Honeykit. I couldn't sleep, Fernkit yelled at Dawnstar for being loud, then stormed o-"
He was interrupted by a huge crack of thunder, and a flash of lightning.

    Ooc: sounds good! ^.^

    IC:
    "Honeykit!"
Jaykit trotted quickly after her, jumping a bit as another clap of thunder sounded above.
He could hear Atsralpaw call out behind him, but he ignored it.

Ooc: Hmm......how about just one of her legs? And one of her front ones? It could be like she couldn't back away fast enough :3

    IC: Jaykit huffed in exasperation.
"This day is turning into a mess!"

Ooc: There we go, that sounds good :3

Jaykit waited, pacing, with Honeykit. The thinner sounded farther off now.

Dawnstar walked out her den, and onto the Tallrock. "All Spiritclan cats, gather beneath the Tallrock. I have some announcements to make."

"So, it seems the Thunderstorm has passed, and without leaving any rain. It may return later, as storms do, but for now, I figured we'd host a ceremony that's a few days overdue.
    Jaykit?"

Jaykit kids barely contain his excitement.
He padded into the Tallrock to stand beside Dawnstar.
"I, Dawnstar, leader if Spiritclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to watch over this cat. He will train well to learn your code, and I name him an apprentice I turn. Jaykit, from this moment in you will be known as Jaypaw, until you have earned your warrior name. Swiftleap will be your mentor."
"Jaypaw!" The clan cheered. They were cut off as a loud clap of thunder sounded, and a crack cut through the air.

Jaypaw's eyes widened as he heard Astralpaw's scream.
"Quick!" Dawnstar yelled. "We need to find her! Fawnstep, Swiftleap, Thidnerstrike, come with me."

OOC: Hey Katie? Can it just be her front leg crushed? I dormt honk it would be very likely for her to survive if both her front and back legs were smashed like that.

Dawnstar ran across the territory, her paws pounding the ground. The patrol fanned out behind her, each of them stunned into silence. They heard whimpering as they got closer to where the tree had fallen. Another clap of thunder happened, and then.......rain.
It was falling quickly, soaking their fur to the bone. Dawnstar, however, had just located the two young cats.
"Over here!" she called to the rest of the patrol. As the other three cats gathered around her, she directed them to lift the log with her, while Fawnstep reassured the injured apprentice.

As they finished lifting the large log, Dawnstar turned to her kit and touched her nose to her ear gently.
"It's not your fault. The tree falling is not something you could control." she smiled comfortingly at her kit.
"Can you help Fawnstep?" She motioned wit hehe head to the medicine cat, who was applying comfrey and celandine to Astralpaw's left leg. She was also feeding the apprentice Chamomile, to calm her down, and a few poppy seeds. She slowly helped the apprentice up, and let her heavily lean on her.
"There," she soothed. "Let's get back to camp now," she said, addressing Dawnstar. "Astralpaw needs rest."

The patrol walked as quickly as they could through the heavy rain, and back to camp. Dawnstar eventually lifted Fernkit off the ground and onto her back, because the little kit was having trouble walking on the marshy, muddy ground. As they stumbled--almost blindly--into camp, Dawnstar quickly deposited Fernkit in the nursery, then helped Fawnstep carry Astralpaw to the medicine cat den.

Jaypaw watched sadly as Astralapw was take not Fawnstep's den, almost passed out from pain. He glanced wearily at Honeykit and Fernkit.
"I should go now," he meowed, his voice a bit distant. "I need to rest up for training tomorrow. Good night."

Jaypaw flicked his tail to Fernkit's ear. "Just wanted to check in with you guys. See you soon." And with that, he padded out of the nursery and over to the apprentice's den.

    OOC: KK! ^.^

IC: Jaypaw laughed and walked into the apprentices den, curling up in an empty new by the back.

    Dawnstar walked into the nursery.
    "Hello girls," she meowed.

    Dawnstar turned to Fernkit.
"Fernkit," she began "You should've let me handle that." before her kit could argue, she spoke again. "It was not your fault how could you have known the tree was going to fall? Astralpaw was just protecting you. Her injury is going to heal, but nothing could've brought you back from death. Though it's not happy, it's for the best. She licked Fernkit's ear, and then went to find Rosethorn.

OOC: Lol, I meant nest x3
Rosethorn is actually an awesome name! ^.^

    Ooc: Flameleap :3

As the clans finished congratulating the new warriors, the Riverclan leader took her place quickly, almost defiantly.
"I have an announcement to make," he said, his voice a bit raw. "One of our greatest warriors, Clearwater, was killed, and dropped in the river. Our medicine cat found him, carried in to the river from the lake!"

Streamstar straightened up, his muscles tense and his eyes burning with cold fury.
"Frozenstar, there have now been two incidents of cats dying in their own territory. With the same neck wound, the same clean kill. I thin it's safe to assume that someone among us, someone living with us, meeting with us, is trying to tear us apart from the inside out."
