Ren's eyes softened and he curled his arms around her in a soothing hug. He held her tight and whispered soothing things to her. "Its okay. Its okay. I know it must have been horrible. They're out of pain though," he whispered, then grimanced. "Sorry that was a lame thought....you probably get told that all the time and it probably doesn't make you feel better." He leaned her up against his chest and gently rocked her side to side; just being there to comfort her.

Shadow waited till she got to the river edge. With an evil smirk, he lifted his paw and shoved her into the water. He laughed and thumped his tail on the ground.

Swift trotted up the broken mountain path silently. She stopped for a moment and stared down at the valley below. With a sigh and a flick of her ear, she howled good-bye to the other wolves; telling them she was moving on. Not like it ever mattered......
