Tempest sat alone in the cave, his icy blue eyes so similar to his mother's hanging down to the solid rock ground. The fox kit looked up at his mother arrival. He jumped in excitement exclaiming "Momma!" Tempest skipped over to the great wolf and sat next to her, his thick tail wagging with glee. Though it wasn't the food she had brought, a meal fit for many, full-grown foxes. No it was his mother's presence that filled the kit's heart with such energy.

OOC: *rolls twenty sided die* Just barely, but yes.

Tempest nodded eagerly, staring at the feast before him. Before he dug in he looked to Ferra, whose paw was just about as big as he was, and said, "Thank you momma." His soft, child's voice was sincere, free of any malice or hate, as he had never known such awful feelings.

Woah, you're not going in there without a closer look. You're not dumb, you've seen what happens to the teens that just run into the woods! The old "Look before you leap" motto comes to mind. STRANGERS CAR YOUR CAR WOODS

Akaki smiled to the kit, his auburn eyes blinking slowly. "Well Thorn, I just needed a couple of warriors alongside me as I investigate. Why don't we leave now?" the young grey fox said, his scruffy thin fur dull and soft like a newborn chicken's. Before they began, though, Akaki turned to Per. "When the others awake, tell them we set out for the metal bird."

With that secured, the wise healer set out to the dawn's tinted golden skies. Beige fields of dry grass offered little cover to their destination. However, the air was calm and quiet, and after the great din of fighting from last night helped encourage the humans to wait.

OOC: That was some great writing Naraness

Tempest looked up, a chunk of fresh deer, a near impossibility for a fox, in his mouth. He swallowed the bite and said, "The meadow? Sure!" He enjoyed going out and afar, exploring from his mother's back. He never realized that all the "games" he played were preparing him for the dangerous life of a fox in Dubsinith.

A noise came from the STRANGERS CAR. It is starting to grow dark.

Common Sense: You should probably wait inside your car until someone passes by.

Sense of Adventure: What? No way! Check out the STRANGERS CAR!

Your mind divided, the only two options are either of the two cars.

    Lucky you did.

A heavy branch falls from one of the trees, smashing down on the driver's seat. Had anyone been inside, their skull would look something like the roof.

Instead, you investigate the strange noise. It came from the back seat. There you see a squirming blanket, something like a dog underneath. However, the fog on the window is too thick.

OOC: Best to wait for thirteenmoons to post before we go any further.

The empty farm was almost untouched by the humans' conflict. Only the surrounding hills showed scars of battle. The sun had just climbed over the horizon, shining bright and cheerful. It seemed nature would not stop for man's war. After some fifteen minutes of travel, the charred black bird lay only meters ahead, when from the city came white towers of smoke, growing at an alarming rate.

With bright burning tops, the columns began to lean and fall far over the hillside, arcing over the foxes. The smoke faded at the end, but as the burning tops hit far behind where the trio could not see with deep thuds. No doubt more humans would die.

Akaki wondered to himself why a race as powerful as man would be so bent on killing each other. The barrage stopped, and the foxes continued.

You still cannot see inside the car, as fog on the inside of the glass had developed too. How it grew on the warmer inside was a mystery, but surely there was some explianation.

    OOC: Tis alright!

Tempest blindly ate as much as he could, easily consuming his weight in venison. Licking his lips, he looked so far up to his mother's eyes and yipped, "Ready ma!" He was so eager to go to the meadow he had eaten more than he should've, but he acted fine. He'd probably just get tired and ride between Ferra's shoulders as he usually did.

Tempest held on, the wind and woods rushing by. He kept low, though, so he wouldn't fall. Otherwise, he was just giddy, going faster (sans falling) than any fox would ever go. He watched for signs of the meadow, always excited of what he may find there.
