Willowpaw finally finished her visit to the nursery. She padded out of camp and looked for any prey. As she walked around, she stepped into a river of cold water.

"Hungry?" Amoux asked, pushing the deer towards her. His paws were now matted in blood and it stinged a little.

Willowpaw panicked. She tried to hold on to the surface but the chilly water tried to sweep her downstream. She suddenly lost her grip

"Its fine, just stings a bit." Amoux replied, taking a bite too.

Willowtail was in the middle of chasing a shrew until she suddenly spotted Shadowpad. "What are you doing out here Shadowpad?" She asked.

Willowpaw took a deep breath then pawed Icepaw nervously. "Icepaw, are you okay?" she asked.

"What do you want to do now?" Amoux inquired, laying down in the warm sun.

Icekit nudged Fadekit and bit her tail softly. Then she looked out the nursery and wondered what it would be like.

"No! Don't die!" wailed Willowpaw. She pawed her again.

Willowpaw tried to drag her away from the river. Then she waited and waited and waited until she woke up.

"Be careful when you try to get up. It feels like a herd of caribou crashing into you," Amoux warned

Willowpaw giggled. "Does your feet or paws hurt or anything? Or are you just tired?" She asked.

Icekit tumbled over and pounced on Fadekit back.

Willowpaw watched Icepaw take a step then another and another. She looked down at her tired paws and sighed.

Icekit quickly leaps back. "Im sorry!" Icekit apologized. She watched as a queen woke up and padded towards them.

"wha- oh ummm," Willowpaw started. "If it hurts, stop walking, umm i'll go look for something. Wait here" Willowpaw mewed nervously, looking around for anything soft
