"Okay, whatever you say," she said.

"Yeah," she said.

"I don't love her. She's a pack mate and my friend, but that's it. I owe her my life though. She saved you. I'm so confused right now. If she asked to be my mate I couldn't say no because i owe her everything," he said, turning his head away from her so that she couldn't see him tear up. "I love you, but everything's changed now. I want to stay with you, but I might not have a choice if she asks," he said sadly.

"Look, Sylvia, i've been acting this way because I was jealous of you. You're so cool and I'm so not. Please forgive me," she said.

"Why are you nodding?" she asked, confused.

"Thank you," she said, greatfully.

"Would you like to go hunting Sylvia?" she asked, hungrily.

They head off and look for something. Scarface jumps in a bush and emerges with another large rabbit. "Dinner for three," she smiled.

They walked back to the cave and shared the rabbit.

"So, what do you want to do now?" she asked, curiously.

Scarface layed down, dozing off.

Scarface dreamed of her brother Firestar and awoke with a start.

Scarface noticed that Sylvia was missing.

He chases her out of the den and stops her. "I do. I always have. I owe her everything for saving you. That's just what I was saying. I don't want to be her mate." he said.

"I'm sorry. Please just come back to the den and rest," he said.

"She's not going to. I promise, please go back to the cave and lie down. Think about the pups," he said.

"I'm not going to leave you. I love you," he said.

He curled up beside her an wrapped his tail around hers, comforting her.

He watched over her all night, not knowing what to think.

He was half asleep, trying to keep his eyes from closing.
