What the hell is going on..! The male glanced around, his eyes wide. There was a crazy itch in his spine to run, he clutched a nut between two tiny paws and he kept getting the odd urge to wiggle his nose in an adorable fashion. This was not Alas Mist. He was... "A-a squirrel?" He yelped, staring at his distorted reflection in a pool of clouded, murky water. He twisted around and squeaked loudly at the sight of his small ebony body crumpled in a heap. What the hell..? He felt sick and confused. Should he just smash this acorn into his head? Wake up, wake up, wake up... He apun around and around as though he were chasing his tail, wondering if he could go back to BloodClan looking like this. But what were to happen to his body while he was gone? What if it was attacked? Then again, if he wandered into the camp, some dumb-ass apprentice would attack him, no questions asked. This was an... Awkward situation.

the little furry body met eyes with the first female to speak. He recognised Salina from a while back. She was bigger now, but he wasn't far behind her. If he hadn't been in a rodent's body. So of course, the five-moon-old glared at her. "I quite preferred the old one actually, when I actually looked like a Mist and not a meal," he replied, sucking in air to keep from growing frantic. He didn't want to express his alarm in front of Salina, but at the same time, he desperately missed his old body. "I mean, you should really try this one out, sometime, though. Squirrel is the new sexy, I hear. And the fluffy tail would suit you." He waggled his bushy tail for an example. Then his beady squirrel eyes turned to the other female, one he didn't recognize. He raised onto his little tip-toes. "I'm no kitten!" He snapped. "I'll have you know that I become an apprentice next moon!"

Alas wrinkled his little nose at the first comment, but his face opened up once more at her question. "Alas," he said quickly, "Alas Mist. Who're you?" Knowing it would be rude to turn away but feeling the need to fidget, he began to scratch the dirt with his tiny claws before gazing up at her once more, his mind still on this situation. How was he going to get back into his usual body? He had no clue.

He was hot. Was it because he lived in the desert? Or maybe because he was doing a self-dared water fast... Whichever was the origin, it made Alas antsy. He spun around in a shaded part of the camp, batting at some sandstone and smacking around a little pebble, when an idea struck him. He was nearly six moons old and yet he had not a clue how he would handle himself if he ever found he was in a warzone. So the ebony tom glanced around, amber eyes narrowed and a cocky smirk on his face. "Hey!" He yelled loudly. "Anyone wanna fight?" He didn't dare add play to the front of that, he'd be crushed like a bug for sure.

Hearing a kit's voice, the male turned to her. "Have you ever had the joy of wrestling another to the ground, holding your head high above them with your claws poking at their soft skin, knowing you've won?" Without waiting for a response, he added, "neither have I. Which is why," he spoke quickly, raking his gaze over the she-cat, "which is why apprentices practice with each other, so that in battle they may one day get that feeling, that rush of blood right to their ego, that knowledge of knowing they're... Better," he said finally, finishing his little monologue and sitting.

He shrugged. "I'm older than you, but I'm not an apprentice yet. Hopefully, though, I'll become one in the December ceremonies." He grinned at that. It sounded so cool. Sure, he'd still be a first tier, but maybe he'd actually get to leave the camp for once without having to sneak out. That would be nice. "What's your name by the way?" A flicker of movement, however, caught his eye, and for a moment he turned his attention away from the kit, eyeing an older looking female. "Alright! What's your name? I'm Alas. Mist," he added with a smirk. He liked his lineage, and felt bad for the cats who were too sorry to have their own parenting all figured out. Would these two be like the majority? Probably.

Alas opened his mouth to reply to Monique, but froze when he saw Darkey. B-but I don't actually know much! He thought, anxiety making his stomach twist. Funny, how he could go from arrogant to nervous. He nodded to the dark vixen before turning to the other kit, the one who had yet to introduce herself [Septemberkit]. "Ready?"

The little squirrel pulled a scowl. "Thanks, that helps a lot." Alas mumbled to Partialhuman. He nodded his head in agreement to what the serval said, though, still feeling as though he should really run. "Do you have that, too?" He asked Salina, shifting his paws. Then he stared at the crumpled form of his dark body, trying to concentrate, even closed his eyes and thought he was backc in his own body, but to no avail. Then, Septemberkit piped up. He watched her example, noticing how she stood and the way her eyes narrowed and that she leaned forward a little, as though she were urging her spirit into the other body. He did that himself, and after a few tries, he was picking himself up off the ground. "Ah," he said loudly, stretching. "I feel so much better." He let out a sigh of relief.

"Wait," Alas said quickly, furrowing his pale eyes in confusion. "So if I claim the body of something, does the soul that's already in it... Die?"

The red sand whipped and stung his eyes, but the little tom was used to it by now. It was the only thing he'd ever known, how should he know that there were some cats who had buckets and buckets of water to swim in? How should he know that some cats could never survive in the grueling heat and dusty environment that his clan chose to live in. The ebony five-moon-old Mist ducked into the first tier's den after wandering the cave systems for a few minutes, sneezing out some sand that had gotten up his nose. His pelt was dim and dirty with ruddy dust, and he sat to groom himself.

His ears perked as he heard his last name, pausing midlick. His eyes followed to where the voice had come from, to a cat who seemed bigger and older by a few moons. Another Mist? What does she mean? "Um... I'm a Mist kit."
