[fancypost borderwidth=0][justify]We are currently attempting to steer away from adding any new frontboards at the moment. We already have several, along with many backboards, which causes activity to become quite spread out. If we were to move any inactive frontboards to the back, we might consider moving a backboard or two up to the front as a replacement of sorts, but that isn't a guarantee. It would depend on the circumstances.

As for groups that have been moved back due to drama, like RiverClan or ThunderClan, it would again depend on the circumstances. If the groups have been free of drama for quite some time, I'm sure we would consider them just as we would any group. If any frontboard spots were to open up, I imagine they would go to whichever backboard is the most active and drama-free.

[fancypost borderwidth=0][justify]There are fifteen frontboard Clans at the moment. This means that, even if you exclude all of our backboards, of which there are forty-two, activity is spread out between fifteen different groups. The more boards there are, the more spread out activity is, which causes the Clans to become less active as a result. In contrast, the fewer boards there are, the more concentrated activity is, which causes Clans to become more active.

When there are many boards with spread out activity, our member retention rate has been found to decrease. This is because new members will visit a Clan only to find that it is less active than they had hoped, due simply to the fact that with so many Clans, it's impossible for every single one to be active.

If we have fewer boards, however, this activity will be more concentrated, as I mentioned. As a result, members will be less likely to feel ignored.

It's good to provide members with plenty of options in terms of groups, but we're trying to limit the number of boards on the front page. We're trying to limit the number of backboards, as well, but frontboards are slightly more pressing of a concern, as that is the first thing that new members see when they visit the forum.

If there is a backboard that is active, friendly, and etc., we will certainly consider moving it to the front. I just can't guarantee that we will actually be able to do so. There are many backboards that are deserving of a frontboard, but we're trying to limit things somewhat.

[fancypost borderwidth=0][justify]For a project in my Communications course, I have to survey around ten people in regards to an ethical dilemma. If you could read over the prompt below and select an answer to the question, I would really appreciate it!

    Quote

    Prompt:
You are a caseworker in a community agency providing counseling and temporary shelter for abused and troubled youth. You are trying to convince the state to accept custody of Danny, a 15 year-old boy whose parents you are, in your eyes, seriously abusive. The law states that if Danny's life is in danger, he has a right to state guardianship.

Your manager, Janice, with whom you cooperate on a regular basis, believes that the state will not accept custody of Danny. She feels that, at 15, Danny is better able to take care of himself than many others whose cases are presented to the state. She also feels that Danny is not in immediate danger.

You know that this is not an easy decision for Janice, for you both are in the business because you care about children like Danny. However, you feel strongly that the potential danger for Danny is real and imminent. What would you do?

    Here are the options:

Thank you very much! Please just let me know which number/option you would choose. :^)

[fancypost borderwidth=0][justify]Try re-entering the link from your original post. However, after you paste it into the bar, scroll all the way to the beginning of the URL. If it says "https", the link won't work. You need to take out the "s" so that it just says "http".

If that doesn't work, please let me know. I can try to figure something else out if you still want to use this image. :^)

That counts, yes! The Dinosaur: Class C item cost two tokens, so I can refund you one token. The Dinosaur: Class D item can be refunded in silver. I'll send those over right now.

[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-size:9pt]So does this means that dinosaurs will no longer be playable? What about people that got a dino from an adoption? I've never played a non-cat, but I'm curious to know what'll happen to them.

As with "antigravity manipulation," which was removed several weeks back, the dinosaur item will no longer be playable in the Main Game. This includes dinosaurs that were won in adoptions.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0][justify]Hello!

This is a reminder that mutations MUST be purchased for use in the Main Game. Store-bought mutations can not be passed on from parent to child if the item is not purchased for or by the child. That being said, mutations may only be considered "genetic" if the children actually purchase the mutation item(s).

If the parents' roleplayers purchase the mutation(s) for the roleplayers of the children as a gift of sorts, that sort of thing is perfectly acceptable. If neither the child nor the parent has purchased it, however, it's against the rules.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the staff team!

    [fancypost borderwidth=0][justify]

It looks like you have two copies of this item. Would you like both of them refunded?

    [fancypost borderwidth=0][justify]

[color=white][sub]a] the parents bought the mutation items for the litter/certain members of the litter who wanted it and the parents roleplayers were willing to provide

Yes! That would be perfectly fine.

[color=white][sub]b] the children were asked in the litter that if they wanted to have it be genetic/born with they could buy the item themselves and be born with it/have it develop later on(e.g horns)

Yes, that would be fine! As long as the item is purchased, it can be developed at any time.

[color=white][sub]c] the litter was a cross-species litter(those still exist, right?) containing species that naturally have venomous fangs/wings/horns(deer of most species, birds, venomous snakes, ect. ect.)[this is the one I'm most concerned about because say if you cross a bird(e.g owl) with a horned animal (e.g kudu) you could end up with a kudu with front talons, wings, feathering present on back or one half of the body, owl or kudu tail, kudu or owl head with kudu horns, ect. ect. the creative process is really fun]

If the mutations are naturally occurring within one of the parents, it can be assumed that the mutation would potentially pass down genetically. So yes, this would be fine. You would still need to purchase the hybrid litter item, of course.

[color=white][sub]d] the natural mutations!! are they counted as the mutation item? you know, mutations that can actually happen?(e.g a lioness growing a mane! it's rare but does actually happen despite it not being as great a mane as you might find on a lion but it's still a 'mane' that does not normally appear on lionesses.) Would this be passed on as a gene?(I don't study lion genetics sorry I'm more into horse genetics because those are super fun)(oH AND ANOTHER EXAMPLE HETEROCROMA OR WHATEVER IT IS CALLED WHEN IT HAS TWO EYE COLORS)

Naturally occurring mutations, such as heterochromia or manes on female lions, do not need to be purchased. They may be passed on genetically, as well. The recent announcement applies only to unnaturally occurring mutations, such as a leopard with big wings.

[color=white][sub]e] the litter is a cross-species litter with mutated parents(e.g cat with alligator scales and dog with owl wings and vampirism/blood sucking fangs), would the parents get the mutations naturally or would that also require the mutation item?

This would require the mutation item. The children would still be cross-species, as long as the hybrid litter item was purchased, but the mutations would not be genetically passed down.

[color=white][sub]f] negative mutations caused by the mother's exposure to mutagens.. like extra useless limbs or malformations or extra heads or all the sorts of bad stuff that can happen during development in the womb- would those count as the 'mutation' item or just a negative side effect of, say, the mother drinking irradiated water while pregnant or something of the sort? I'm not talking positive stuff here I'm talking about major downsides that just happen to be mutations?

If the mutations are naturally occurring, you do not need to purchase the item. Malformations are perfectly acceptable even without the purchase of the mutation item. The item is only necessary to unnatural mutations, like wings on a cat or antlers on a yorkie.

[color=white][sub]g] cross litter species(I'M AT IT AGAIN) that have a mythical animal as a parent! Unicorn and a snake, perhaps(please don't question this), would the offspring be similar to a scaled smaller horse with a single unicorn horn and retractable fangs?

That would be up to you. In the case of hybrid litters, you have great liberty when it comes to determining the appearance of the children. As long as the mutations (such as the horn and fangs) are naturally occurring with in one (or both) of the parents, you do not need to purchase the item. You only need to purchase the item if it is an unnatural mutation.

[color=white][sub]h] same scenario as above with the cross litter species! Cheetah and a griffin- how would the mutations work then? Would it lean more towards the griffin(naturally already heavily crossed/mutated!!) and say, change one part of the body into more cheetah-e or would it just be normal cheetah offspring?

As I mentioned above, you have great liberty when it comes to determining the appearance of the children in a hybrid litter. In terms of appearance, they could lean more towards griffin or cheetah, whichever you would prefer, or they can be an even split between the two species' traits.

Why is the redund only half of what was paid?

Plus I want to ask, why only a 50% refund (keeping in mind some people used actual money to get these bodies)? People used to get full refunds when things were removed suddenly from the main game, and these Dinosaur purchases were very expensive for a start.

The dinosaurs have been available for over one year at this point. That being said, we are running under the assumption that most members who own the item have used it or, if they have not, have had plenty of opportunities to do so. Since you have had quite a while to make use of your dinosaur, we thought it best to offer a 50% cut on refunds.

Of course, there may be members who only recently purchased the item and never had a chance to use it. Though this is unfortunate, we can not alter refund prices based on various circumstances like that. It's impossible to prove when someone purchased an item and it is very, very difficult to prove if someone has used an item, as we would have to go through every single post in order to ensure that the item wasn't used.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 420px; font-size: 8pt; line-height:150%; text-align: justify] i need a refund for dinosaur class d, please!! <3

    Refunding!
