the smoke tortie simply nodded his head, and then rolled half-heartedly onto his back, and then flopped back down on his side, creating a small cloud of dust. "how long have you been... away from anyone else?" massacre questioned, eyes half-closed in an incredibly lazy way. obviously he hadn't noticed how she had reacted to the shadow disappearing.

Hmm, I think I'll just throw in a surprise avalanche or snowstorm? Or maybe a surprise hurricane/tornado/rainstorm that would appear randomly, though it would kind of make sense since it's nearing spring. Anyone like those ideas? :3

The pack will be currently traveling to find a house that is actually relatively warm and has a good supply of food and water. At the start of the RP Thread, the pack will be at least acquaintances and will already already have established ranks and decided them. Eventually they'll find the hotel. c;

A non-heavy, but not light snow fell, mounting onto the older snow. The weak dawn sun had risen over the horizon already, but it was still early in the morning. Spark stirred from her sleep, orange-brown eyes slowly cracking open to see the cold city. She had parked the pack in the front yard of a large house, and she was curled under one of the bushes that was near to the door of the house. It would have lovely flowers and thick leaves, but now it was simply branches and roots. That was all. Spark would've liked to have a better place to stay, but she would take whatever shelter she could get. This front yard had bushes lining the edges of it, and bushes near the house. Some shelter from the snow, at least. The Border Collie felt the cold flakes of snow fall onto her pelt, soaking into her fur.Her pelt kept her relatively warm, but she wasn't built for this- definitely not blizzards, definitely not. This was too cold for her.
Spark raised her head, slowly standing up and feeling that her paw-pads were numb. Great. The Alpha snapped in her head. Just what I need. Frozen paws. She shook her head, and then looked around at the front yard, counting the dogs to see if everyone was there. "Good morning." She muttered non-enthusiastically. Her voice would be loud enough to be heard by already awake dogs, and would probably give the dogs who were still asleep a wake-up call.
