Well Klondike sure as heck wasn't going to be the one to offer a tour. It was his policy to interact with others as little as physically possible, and this would be in direct violation of that. Drifting over, the cold tom gave the Penumbra omen a stiff, blank stare before mumbling something in a barely audible voice. "Welcome..."

Klondike had wandered down to the sea, something he quite enjoyed dong. He'd been extra grumpy on his first few weeks here due to the fact that he had not yet realized the body of water was within their borders, but quickly found himself back in his old routine of wandering the coastline every day. He'd grown up on an island, after all, and while he still missed the ominous creaking of the lighthouse at night, the waves were still there to view in the mornings. It hand't taken him too terribly long, however, to figure out that there were certain members of his own home that did not enjoy swimming quite as much as he did. The black and white tom, of course, was absolutely positive this was because they didn't know how to swim, not because they just didn't like water.

Water was one of the requirements to merely exist--why wouldn't everyone like it? It made no sense to the surprisingly naive feline. But now, Klondike felt it was only his duty to help his poor, uneducated clanamtes with this predicament of theirs. "Swim lessons over here, you sad, sad, morons," he called out, still in total monotone and with a poker face still intact.

"I swear..." Klondike looked pissed, to say the least. The bicolored tom was somewhat known for his bad attitude, but he was in a particularly foul mood at that moment, and the Insignia being raided was not helping in the tiniest bit. It was a shame Klondike Veritas wasn't a good combatant. (Ex) Medicine cat's were not known for their brawn. Especially those that had come form a clan with pro leanings. While he was strong, he was only strong for a feline. He couldn't take on a cheetah without a lot of help.

Help that he found in his telepathy. Narrowing his eyes, the tom focused his telepathy on Breakdance, aiming to worm his way into her mind and blacken her vision completely. If this succeed, he would dart forwards and aim to trip her. This had better dang work. If not... Well, hopefully he'd be safe from afar.

Klondike could only think one thing as he realized how his grave miscalculation with not taking into account her sense of smell might cost him a whole lost more than just his pride. 'Crap!' The tom was an experienced user of telepathy, and he was formulating a plan on how to go about this next. First stop: scent manipulation. His RPer had completely forgotten he'd had it until about halfway through this post. The tom erased his scent the best he could, and just as he'd come up with a plot to defeat this jerk, something barreled into her.

    Klondike almost laughed.

    Almost.

Klondike supposed he couldn't have expected to be left alone for long when he was simply standing there watching the fight expressionlessly. Thank goodness he didn't expect to, or else he might not have been ready for the lion flinging herself at him. A lion? Really!? That's what the ex-medic liked to call 'not freaking fair.' Executing a mildly lame-looking barrel roll, but a barrel roll nonetheless, to get out of the way, Klondike found himself on his paws and staring coldly into the eyes of his enemy. The tom quickly cloaked himself with his scent manipulation, erasing his own smell before trying the same tactic he'd used on Breakdance. Aiming quickly to worm his way into her mind, the tom would try to use his telepathy to blacken her vision. If this succeeded, her would dart forwards and aim to slash her chest with small but sharp claws.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 420px; letter-spacing: 0px][justify]With a delighted smile, the currently-lioness felt a pleasant surprise as her vision slipped away, replaced with utter blackness. Ah, well, she had been blind for a while so she supposed she would manage until the effect wore off. Giving a pleasant laugh, the girl shapeshifted into a domestic cat and danced away from her opponent's attacks, though she was still blind and had to rely heavily on her other senses. Or, well, her hearing because Klondike had also taken away his scent. Ooh, a challenge. Not planning to use any lethal moves but to still prove a point, the feline darted forward and aimed to swing her leg in such a way as to trip the tom and make him stumble, and then aimed a powerful slash at the side of his face or throat.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/PwYBEbe.png); width: 420px; height: 5px; margin-top: -8pt;][/fancypost]

It wasn't too terribly hard for Klondike to dodge. She was bigger yes, but she was blind and without her sense of smell. Apparently, she was relying on her hearing, which Klondike had no counter for other than to simply be quiet. Thankfully, that very skill was something he was quite good at. however, with her other senses taken away there was a good chance her hearing sense had heightened, and with his constant movement that didn't help. About that time,. something occurred to Klondike. After darting around a little after evading her attempted trip, the feline suddenly stopped. He tried his best to keep up his telepathic binding trick, though he would only be able to keep it up for a few more minutes before having to take a break, and he kept his scent manipulation up as well, but he quickly silenced himself in every way he could. He wanted to see how she would react when all of her senses but touch were cut off from him. It was more of an experiment than a battle tactic, to be honest, but he did have a plan. He always had a plan, even if maybe sometimes they weren't good ones.

Heck, Klondike had already started hosting swimming lessons, and that hadn't been too awful, so he'd decided to hold another training session of sorts, with the new clanwide stuff. This one was a bit different, though. The tom sat in the main center of the train station, just a bit off to the side. The black and white tom was, to put it bluntly, a terrible combatant. Physically, at least. Klondike Veritas was an expert at the art of telepathy, and though he'd only recently mastered the art of mental barriers, he'd gotten it down nonetheless. He was a mental fighter, and it delighted him (internally only, of course) when he succeeded in infiltrating an opponent's mind. While he wasn't much of a team player, he had been musing over what it would be like if everyone in the clan could both oppose and defend like that. The Insignia would quite literally be the mastermind. If only everyone had telepathy, they could form a mental web--a hive of sorts, and just be awesome.

However, not everyone did. He'd have to settle for teaching those how to put up mental barriers. "Anyone interested in learning mental arts, get over here!" he called out, raising his voice a bit louder than normal to be heard over the bustle of the camp. "Mental barriers, infiltration, and all that good stuff," he added with a small yawn.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 420px; letter-spacing: 0px][justify]... Huh? Did her opponent just leave? That's what she assumed anyway, since all her senses of him had been caught off. With an irritated snarl, the lioness shoved aside the telepathic blinding thing, her anger fueling her mental power, and looked around furiously for her opponent. Grinning like a shark when she finally spotted him, he lioness suddenly hesitated, seeing Queenkit dying over there. Oh fuck, how could she leave a little kid like that out there to choke to death, even if it was an enemy? Turning back to Klondike with an expression that was now serious and grim, the feline moved forward with startling speed and aimed to knock her opponent's head into the ground with her big paw, just enough to leave his head spinning.

    //super late reply

Klondike struggled to keep his little trick going, but even a master of telepathy couldn't spit out advanced techniques end on end. He needed to let his mind take a rest, but unfortunately that would be hard. He wasn't very skilled in any sort of physical combat, not to mention he was fighting someone larger than himself. Much larger. The tom had only a moment to dodge, but he wasn't that fast. Despite jerking away in an attempt to evade, his head was slammed into the ground at an incredible speed, and he winced harshly before masking any expressions with blankness. Klondike's head didn't just spin--no, it did a freaking ballerina twirl. The feline was left dazed and confused, before picking himself up as quickly as he could and stumbling backwards as he attempted to regain his balance.

"Welcome," Klondike's greeting was short, tense, and overall not at all friendly. That was nothing new at all, however, for the blank-faced tom. It was his policy to show no sign of emotion to anyone, this chick included. He sometimes got "emotion" and "decency" mixed up. The poor guy seemed to think he needed to be extraordinarily rude to everyone he met.

"Quickly--scale of one to ten: how wimpy are you?" Klondike noted, his voice drowned in bitter sarcasm. He detected a paranoid little turd nearby, and this time it didn't live in the mirror. Of course, even the generally rude tom knew better than to state this directly, so he merely padded over calmly and with a black expression as he tried not to snicker.

Klondike was not very good at being not-rude, and while he didn't at all mind the job of sorting herbs in the least (he honestly preferred it to his usual boring chores), he thought it wise to stay out of trouble for now. He'd been pushing the limits recently--it was time to lurk in the shadows for a while again. The black and white feline was not a very skilled combatant, so he would force his lazy tail over to the training session for the learning, not the friend-making.

Klondike recalled the day when his own wife/ex-wife proposed to him. He'd been a bit ticked that she'd done the asking on every possible occasion when there was a question to be asked, but he'd at least said yes. In fact, he'd never once seen a proposal turned down. This was interesting. Cruel, yes, but interesting. The tom lingered nearby, watching with a blank face.
