Trotting into the cool moonlit path, the pale cream pup looked up at the stars with glittering cocoa optics. "That feels good," he murmured pleasantly, puffing out his chest as he let in a large amount of air into his lungs. The air tonight was crisp and filled with fragrant senses that Hennessy had failed to notice before now. “Why haven’t I enjoyed such a beautiful night such as this one,” he muttered to himself, almost echoing the words that went through his head.

"Coldstar?" As he padded forward, the cream furred pup looked at the kitten oddly for a moment. Coldstar was his adopted father, so did that mean that he had family in Bloodclan? The large pup couldn't exactly imagine it though, for he assumed that Coldstar lived in Rushingclan for his entire life. Yet, what he didn't know was that Coldstar was the former leader of ToMS and such, for he only knew his father as the leader of Rushingclan.

"We're not cold, Miss," Hennessy barked courteously as he approached the two cats within a few strides. "But I'm afraid that I do not recognize you either," he added, murmuring the last part mostly to himself. With confused eyes, the large pup observed the she-cat silently as he shifted positions, changing into a more lax one.

ooc|| I remember that song. ♫
ic|| Trotting forward with a curious look upon his face, the long muzzled dog watched the insects glow warmly as they blinked on and off like dozens of tiny stars, lighting the sky. They were so pretty that the pup wished to pursue after them and perhaps even capture them... It's the most calming thing I've ever heard... It soothes the soul...
-
"How does he?" It was a mere question that had escaped the lips of Hennessy, the oversized mutt as he dipped his head in greeting. Taking a few more strides, the pup gave a small smile in everyone's direction as he attempted to blend in. Despite his attempts, the pup was well over an average cat's height. So when he sat, he was much taller than the lot.
-
Whoa... So now he not only had Luminousheart and Brokenpaw as adopted sisters, but he also had this kit as a step sister? It was indeed all foreign and confusing to the pup, yet he decided to stay quiet about it nevertheless. Instead, the pup gave the Bloodclan kit a brisk nod before sniffing the air, hoping to pick up Coldstar's scent somewhere.
Hm... Not here, he thought silently to himself, giving himself a quick shake to flick off a tick. Ah... ticks... His worse enemy. He had been cleaning his pelt every day and night, yet ticks still liked to claim his fur as their home. Note to self, he added, Visit the medicine cat den as soon as you get to camp. -
Approaching the two cats within a few strides, Hennessy stayed silent as Jollypaw appeared to be absorbing in the moment. He could understand too, or at least understand a bit... Ok, so maybe he didn't understand it at all, yet nevertheless, he respected the apprentice for it.
As he took a seat, the cream furred pup slouched slightly, hoping that he would look slightly smaller than he really was, you know... To perhaps blend in a bit better? He knew of no other dogs in Rushingclan other than himself, so he was slightly lonely at times. -
Sniffing the air, Hennessy could sense that there was something... metallic in the air. It was something that the nose-sniffer had to investigate. It might be mercury! And I heard that was poisonous! He fretted silently in his head. What if it's Two Legs with guns? Now that made the pup's hackles raise.
"Oh, hi Donatello," the pup barked, never feeling more relieved that it was a mere clan mate of his. Good. So you've been fretting over nothing. It was nothing to worry about, he thought in his head. -
Personally, Hennessy was actually hoping that he could avoid being in the medicine cat den and actually figuring this all out himself. He was scratching all over and feeling very uncomfortable with the entire scratching scenario. As he scratched behind his sore ear, the pup growled intensely, hoping that this time he wouldn't scratch his ear again with his dull claws. It didn't hurt, yet it became sore after awhile and caused a slight inflammation at the base of his ear. Great. He was in the dog house now.
-
Hennessy couldn't help but feel slightly surprised, yet not jealous. An apprentice already? "Wow," the pup murmured, surprised that he had not known this before, since they were technically siblings. At least you know now, you fur ball, the voice in his head retorted with a small snort. So Coldstar was her mentor?
That interested Hennessy slightly, yet he should've guessed that too. After all, his older siblings had been promoted not too long ago. -
With flattened ears, the bedraggled furred dog said with a sigh,"Fleas." A small frown formed on the dog's muzzle as he looked down at the kit. Intimidated by a kit?! You're much bigger than he. Of course, the pup not only was slightly intimidated, but slightly taken back. "They just like my fur I suppose," he added with a shrug.
"By the way, what's your name," the dog asked, changing the subject slightly. Get some mouse bile or something. Then you're all good to go! -
Shuffling his paws slightly, the dog's ears shriveled slightly towards the sound, which was coming from Deerkit. Grandfather?! That meant... That meant that the kit was Hennessy's nephew!
Not letting his jaws go a gape, the pup finally barked,"Perhaps we should throw a party for all of the promotions." It was somewhat said half-jokingly, but the pup was also somewhat serious as he said this. Though he knew that Boulderfamg threw a party not too long ago, it was nice finally getting a new deputy. No. Two deputies. And plus, his siblings were promoted too, which satisfied him greatly. -
"Hello everyone," Hennessy barked, silently commanding his paws to stay on the ground and not scratch the itchy spot behind his ear. "It's... fleas," he added with embarrassment, feeling his fur prickle slightly with discomfort. "I was planning on fetching some mouse bile, but I was never fond of the stuff." He smiled down at the little kitten somewhat gleefully before prancing around. "Do any or you know of any more treatments besides using that foul scented stuff?"
-
"No one can blame you though," Hennessy barked sympathetically as he trotted over. "You're still the same Wolfchimes that everyone knows. You're still you. And that's what really counts." His eyes sparkled slightly, as the warm cocoa eyes glittered with speckles of gold. He never liked seeing his clan mates down, yet he was the only exception to this rule, or at least in his opinion.
-
"Hello Luminous, Helix, Deerkit, Wolfchimes," the pup barked with a plastered grin on his face. Turning to the kit, the pup stifled a gasp as he stared at the kitten's paws. "D-Did you cut or burn your paws?" His chocolate gaze was intense, for having sore paws, cut pads, or anything like that was not good. Not good at all.
-
"No problem," the dog murmured warmly, flashing a smile in the feline's direction. Turning to Violinkit, the mutt let a low hearty growl rumble in his throat. "It seems like you know a lot about being a high position. I suppose you would like to become one someday," he added with another warm smile.
-
Another cat that he had not met yet. Fantastic. Summoning his solemn voice, the cream furred pup spoke. "What are you doing on Rushingclan territory?" He asked inquiringly, raising an invisible eyebrow. Taking a few strides forward, the abnormally large pup watched the feline, stifling one of those looks that said 'Really?' Nevertheless, the pup watched the feline apprehensively with dark suspicious cocoa optics that were lined with golden speckles.
-
Hennessy let out a chortle of laughter. "My, my, haven't we been doing our homework?" Normally, the pup didn't act like this in front of many cats, yet in this atmosphere, the mutt felt completely at ease, so there was nothing to worry about for now. To be truthful, the pup didn't really tell anyone that he was Coldstar's son. It was pretty hush hush after all.
"Well, hopefully you won't have to die first," the pup barked, looking at the kitten knowingly. I have half of my family as high positions. And that's good enough for me. -
Pausing, the abnormally large pup waited right outside of the lumber mill, wondering exactly what he was going to say. Then taking a large breath in, he finally barked,"Anyone up for a game of hide and seek?" This was gonna be fun, he just knew it would be. As the pup waited, he began thinking about the rules. What would they be exactly? Perhaps he could tweak the rules and make this game interesting.
-
Hennessy chuckled as he watched Violinkit weave between his front legs, yet he stifled a 'hey'. Just watching her made the lumbering pup wish to roll onto his back and let out a hearty laugh. "Who're you and what are you doin' on Rushingclan territory!" My, my, my, what a fierce little tiger, he thought silently. Then, the pup gave the feline a brisk nod. She was doing good, for a kitten like her.
I would love to mentor her if I could, he thought, stifling a sigh. I really would.
