Hazel was awake in her bedroom. She sat on the floor in the splits, shoving her hairbrush through her brown hair. She quietly hummed to herself a song from the most recent musical she and Mia had been in together.
Mia woke up. She reached for the silver locket she always kept around her neck. Inside was a picture of her mother and father, who both were dead. She let out a small scream, discovering her necklace was nowhere to be found. I jumped up, desperate to find it. She only took it off to perform. Mia sprinted down the stairs, hoping her aunt could help her.

Mia ran up the stairs after Laine, who got to her room before she did. Mia opened her theater bag, hoping it would be in there. She pulled out her tan leotard and tights, removed her large makeup kit, threw her script to the ground, took out a program and some other items, and at the very bottom, found a silver heart on a chain. Her locket! She threw it onto her neck as a happy tear fell down her face. She had been horrified when she couldn't find it.
