(WHELP I HOPE YOU LIKE NOVELS)

Sukab gave a little bit of a nod in response. He was hoping that Caimus was alright, and whatever had happened last night and afterwords didn't rattle him to much, and instead his brain was just catching up on some sleep that he had probably lost. However, by her next question he gave a little bit of a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of his neck with a slight shrug. "Yeah sleeping could've gone better last night for sure. But, I sleep a lot of the nights I try so I'm not too worried about it." It wasn't a lie, Sukab hadn't had a night filled with so much outside stress he couldn't fall asleep to it, so all he could do was hope it wasn't going to be a reoccurring problem. But, much like Zenzi was feeling, Sukab could tell at least some of the tension was gone from everybody, at least enough to ignore each other and not fight. Not to mention Aki was seeming extra distracted today from the rest of the group.

"I would love to go on a walk. It could give us a pretty good chance to explore the area anyways. Which will be helpful if we want to stay." Nearly getting his sentence cut off from a loud cry from Theo, Sukab found him slightly recoiling in worry, looking over at the nurse and the sudden hustle of Raphael followed by Aki go up the stairs. He listened for a few moments, hearing the slight shuffle of people and the sobs fade into practically nothing. With a wince he glanced back over at Zenzi, hoping she would at least slightly know what to make of it.

    ------

Without even a response to Ahiah, the mage turned heel and headed causally upstairs. His pace wasn't especially fast or slow, legs moving as if he was simply taking a walk. As soon as he got close enough to the door he used his arm to gently open it, just a crack at first, only to observe the scene and make sure the child's eyes where closed. And luckily, per the instructions of what Faye had told him, despite the tears, Theo was squeezing his eyes so tight it looked painful. There hardly seemed to be an acknowledgement to the cat, and now not saying a word to give himself away, Aki took his spot kneeling on the bed reaching out to catch the small fist that was wiping away tears. Despite the current tension, the dark mage looked and acted perfectly calm. His motions where not rushed and he was humming very softly in his throat, as if he was simply doing some random, menial task that required such things. Like gardening.

Using his other hand, and seemingly careful not to prick the soft skin of the child with his longer nails that where perched on an almost amusingly feminine set of hands, he gently dragged a palm down Theo's arm. By now he was simply resting his hands atop different parts of the child, mostly focused on the palms, and head. At one point Theo's eyes began to try and open to see what was happening but Aki was quick to cover the prying eyes with a hand until the lids shut again before he went back to work.

Minutes had passed, but Theo's muscles seemed to have visibly relaxed underneath Aki's fingers, the tears slowing as the red eyed man finally rested his two hands on the other's aching stomach and then gently brushed away hair from Theo's sweating forehead to place his thumbs on the middle of the skull. For a moment, Aki stood rigid himself, a trickle of blood starting from his nostril before he used a sleeve to quickly remove it and refocus. Bringing two fingers to his mouth licked the tips and drew a small circle in the air before pressing it against the head of his half brother once more, muttering something very quietly under his breath. There was a small, almost acidic smell that passed through the air for no more then a second paired with a slight glow by his fingers. It was only after this that Theo had suddenly gone very limp, and Aki kept his fingers pressed on the other's forehead, tilting his eye to finally land on Faye. "I know you cannot respond to me cat creature, but I am sure you are to understand. Theo will be sore, but if he starts to have aches in his teeth or his nose or ears begin to bleed and especially if he starts to the wonderful process of throwing up please get me. Because if he does we'll have to cut open some lovely veins to remove some more energy. And I super duper promise I didn't kill him, he'll wake back up in a few minutes." Aki for a split second after saying this watched Raphael from the corner of his eye and began to stand, removing his fingers from the child who quickly breathed out again as the dark mage slipped outside of the room, shutting the door behind him. Brushing his hands off on his clothing, he glanced back over. "We can go now if you so wish feathered human." He purred, though his voice sounded tight, a slight tilt and unsteadiness in the males legs with suddenly unsure steps as we he walked back down the stairs.

    -------

By nearly Aki's words alone, Theo seemed to stir not long after the older male had walked out, there was a small sniffle at first. A recovery from the crying, before the boy sat up once more. Everything felt foggy for a few moments, his brain struggling to regain footing, his torso and fingers felt almost tight and sore, but the once near terrifying aching was missing. "What happened?" His voice was groggy and nearly unattached from himself, despite the fact that he was seeming pretty wide awake. His confusion was making him nearly scared, and he couldn't help finding himself for wanting to see Raphael for some sort of comfort, but the reminder of last night made him instead sink down next to Faye, burring himself into the large cat's fur and curling around her much like she had done to him earlier. He glanced at the door for a moment before shifting again, trying to see if the pain would come back, the clearly only coherent thing he could remember.

    ------

Wincing at the next wail from Theo upstairs, Jasper forced himself to try and refocus with narrowed eyes. It wasn't very much longer that it had gone quiet upstairs, the air finally settling slightly as he breathed out. At her touch, however his muscles suddenly rippled tensely, his mind so out of focus for a moment the light skim slightly startled him, though his recovery was quick and he smiled with slight laughter at her joke. However, it quickly turned again as she questioned what he saw and rubbing the back of his head he breathed out shakily. "Don't worry about asking, it's understandable. I can't tell you everything, there are some things better not known. Not to anyone." Shaking his head, and trying not to fumble over his speech, knowing his words where the least bit comforting he reached for his back pocket pulling out a small slip of paper that had been folded to fit. it was clearly one of his journal pages, though it had been smoothed out from likely a pretty obvious likely angry crumpling that had happened to it. Putting it out on the counter he took a step back, he knew she wouldn't see, it Faye wasn't even here, but it felt like he had to see it again to observe everything about it, to make sure it was real.

"My predictions come in the form of me drawing. Like I was guessing, it happened last night..." His words where choppy and a little whispery. "Last night. The second picture I drew was of my brother. Which means he's not only likely to be alive somewhere. But in the next three months we have a chance to see him. Whether that means we see him at a passing gas station or he has a bigger part upcoming, I pray to god it's the former. But I know it's not going to be." His voice broke slightly, his face twisting into an angry grimace with grit teeth. Using his hands he had to force himself not to tear the paper to pieces right then and there, or crumple it again but this time beyond recognition. Like that would help at all.

"However, oatmeal sounds great. Though Theo might complain." If she wanted to talk about it again or question it, he wouldn't stop her, but he felt as if she had a right to know at least some of it. Especially because of all she learned last night. He tried to add a little laugh at the end of his sentence but it faltered quickly, and refolded the paper. He would review with Raphael later.

(And damn, I need me one of those XD I haven't used a fancy in a billion years)

That's sad. Well, if you want to pick it up as a more one on one thing unless people want to kick it off again then I'm down. But if you also come out with anymore threads I'd love to check them out so let me know! You're clearly a pretty creative person.

Perfect! I would love to start as soon as possible as well because I'm super excited. Would you like my character forms on the new thread or here?

Also, Ender I'll check out your thread, I'm getting back into public Roleplays so I'm always looking for new, unique ones. Just shoot me a message!

    ~Iyana Shepherd~

Iyana could hardly remember the last time she actually enjoyed smelling morning air. When it was fresh, and didn't carry the overpowering smell of rot and death. It was always worse at the start of the day anyways, morning winds blowing across the desolate city, stirring up dust at her feet and then into her eyes if it reached to high. For now, it had seemed to calm, in which allowed her to finally focus, the smell of shifting in the area. As soon as the noise worked it's way to her ears she quickly ducked down, grasping onto the lower arm of the young man trailing next to her. Scooting down to a broken down wall, cover that was just high enough to shield the crouching duo, Iyana couldn't help but hold her breath. It took only a half second for her to glance around the corner, to see the shape of another standing human being. Cursing lightly under her breath, the woman held a stern finger up to her lips in the direction of Valentine, readying her hand at the gun at her side and making sure he had done the same.

She felt very stupid at this point of time, they had hardly left and where already in what she'd like to say was quiet a predicament. There was a very unlikely chance that because of where they had hid themselves they would be able to scoot away without getting noticed. They where more likely to get shot if they suddenly ran, so with a soft breath in, Iyana tilted her body back enough to raise her voice towards the person who was shifting through the rubble of the super market. She just prayed to god this wasn't a new species of demon that she was unaware of that walked in human form. "Excuse me, ma'am." She took a brief pause, letting her tighten it's grip on her weapon. Though, she was careful to not raise her voice to high. "Please don't shoot, we aren't trying to rob you." Putting on her best calm tone, she brushed her shorter hair from her face, tilting her head back again. "I'm going to stand up with my hands up, I have another person with me so please don't be alarmed." Putting a true effort into not to sound threatening, knowing a panicked person, that or an angry one was most likely to shoot, Iayana muttered what sounded like a few curses, or a prayer under her breath, begging to whoever was watching over them she wouldn't die like this. To the hands of another person trying to survive. Shifting to a kneel and placing her hands up, she slowly stood up, turning to face the stranger, hoping her voice also didn't catch onto any unwanted attention.

(I hope everything is alright! Please let me know if you would like me to change anything)

(I don't mind at all, and my writing will start to shrink, I always start super long because I usually get really excited. That and I haven't written anything in a while so my muse is through the roof)

    ~Iyana Shepherd~

Iyana visibly relaxed as the other lowered the weapon, offering a kind smile and stepping out from behind the corner, but not before giving a slight signal to Valentine. Currently, the younger male was certainly a strange sight, unlike Iyana's own tattered, well worn clothing, he was nearly shrouded in layers of thick, clean cloth, a light vial of white over his face that nearly matched his near white skin. The only thing clearly visible was pale, soft lips that grinned in a full toothed strangeness towards the new person. Not speaking until she was next to her, the freckled female glanced back at the other woman, giving a grin at her offer. "No it's quiet alright, thank you. Until we're pretty parched we'll try to save all the water we can." Voice soft, and hazel eyes drifting across to see if there was anything worth picking up, once she gave up she glanced back up, tilting her head to the side. "My names Iyana, and the man next to me is Valentine." At his name, he gave a slight bow of his head, though his pink dusted eyes had never left the face of Lucy, seemingly scanning every inch of her that he could find, his large smile fading into that of a simple simper.

While Iyana dipped down to a kneel to dust through a pile of rock, Valentine gave a small half step back behind him. When he was at an appropriate distance, his left hand drifted to a pocket, and dipping in very smoothly, as if trying not to make anyone aware, he kept it there for a moment before suddenly throwing his hand out and practically chucking what appeared to be a dollar coin at Lucy. At this Iyana gave a gasp and shot back up pushing herself in between them. "Are you serious?!" She gawked, glaring at Valentine for more then a few moments and turning back around to face Lucy. "I'm so sorry. I was hoping he wouldn't do that, but if it makes you feel any better he did the same to me." Her beg turned to a forced laugh, though she was clearly tense, nearly transparently afraid this new person would lash out or run because she just had metal chucked at her.

    ~Iyana Shepherd and Valentine Doe~

A relived expression crossed her face, though she shot another angry glance at Valentine, but said nothing more on the topic until Lucy started talking. "It's wonderful to meet you. It's been a while since I've seen anyone wandering around out here." Stepping back to her place she forced her tense muscles to slacken as Lucy approached, and reached out the corresponding hand and shook it, backing up rather hesitantly as Valentine slowly took her place.

The smile that had been on the man's face had since faltered since he saw the coin fall to the ground. Now he seemed to look at her with some kind of perhaps disappointment, though when she approached his smile returned, though his lips where pursed in a slightly cynical way. His right arm laid limp by his side, so when she held out her hand, and after shaking it with Iyana, he tilted his head to the side. When it was his turn his grin grew again, peeling back to show some teeth before he used his left hand to grab the back of her right, flipped it and whispered something underneath his breath, drawing a small circle on her palm before pulling away. Iyana shot him another angry glance, and an apologetic one towards Lucy, before taking a deep breath and giving a slight shake of her head.

"Which direction are you headed right now? You can come with us if you'd like. Usually I wouldn't invite random people but at the same time I'm just thankful to see someone else again." Iyana sighed "at least someone who isn't crazy" at this thought she glanced at Valentine but turned heel to face fully to Lucy. "Either way, because of my yelling I'm sure we have a huge stampede of demons probably coming after us, so we should probably start moving. We have a pretty large amount of supplies with us if you want to come with."
