The cannes growled and barked, but Gail stood her ground. "Aw heck no! You leave that lil' kit alone or imma make you sorry!" she hissed back, flicking her tail. One pooch made a lunge for her, so she gave it a swift claw to the nose. It yelped and staggered back.

The little Nyari leapt onto a smaller dog and dug its claws into its back. The mutt howled in pain, making the rest of the pack back off a little. After a moment's scuffle, the dog threw the kit off it and bounded off, its tail between its legs.

As the rest of the pack followed, the Nyari bounced over to the duo. "Thanks, I'm Coral." she smiled, the moonlight dancing in her eyes. "I'm Gail, this is Dash." Gail smiled back, introducing herself and her friend.

ooc: Nox and Ember are about to deal with the princesses, Shadow Diamond, Rivershine and Lux had a fight with Ember and he teleported away and now Rivershine's awake :3
ic: "Thank Celestia, you're alive!" Lux cheered, offering the alicorn a hoof to get up, "I was worried you'd not wake up!"
"So Coral, how'd you get stuck in here?" Dash asked the Nyari as they began to walk. Gail's ears pricked up, but her was too interrested in Coral to notice.

"Well I was hungry, see, and I saw a mouse and I followed it here. But I guess I went a little too far 'cause then I got lost..." Coral explained, "But I did get the mouse, and it was real tasty..!" she added, licking her lips.

Lux approached Rivershine's house but, hearing a slam, he hesitated. Only when the tension had settled a little did he walk inside and say to Shadow Diamond "Hey, I heard your conversation from outside. I think the best thing to do is give her some space. Let her talk when she's ready."
Meanwhile Nox tapped his hoof against the floor in mock boredom. "Took your time..." he snarled at Ember before turning to the doors. Grinning maliciously, he used his dark magic to thrust the doors open and stalked into the Princess' chamber. "I believe we haven't been properly aquainted, Your Majesty!" he laughed, using his horn to hold the gem in front of him.
ooc: Let the roleplaying commence!
ic: Daylight's End trotted across her room to a bookshelf, levitating a blank scroll from its place and setting it down on a table. She unrolled it and used her magic to pick up a pen and began to write.
"Dear Princess Luna,"
she read aloud as she wrote,
"It is with great joy I write to inform you that my recent study has proven fruitful in evidence of my theory, and that I look forward to sharing my full studdies with you shortly.
Your Faithful Student,
Daylights End"
As she finished her letter, she rolled it back up, lit a strange green fire in a pot on the far side of the room and dropped the scroll into it. When the paper had been consumed in flames, she quenched the fire and sat gazing out of her window at the clouds.
"Well we were just about to leave when we heard your scream, so we came to help. Although now I have no idea where we are anymore..." Dash said, looking at the unfamiliar surroundings.

Gail flicked her tail and began to walk off in search of the exit again. Dash and Coral followed, eager to leave too.

Dash slowed to Coral's pace and walked with her, following Gail's lead. "Don't worry - we'll get outta here no matter what!" she smiled, earning her a weak smile from the Nyari kit.

At that moment Gail paused and the others glanced at each other. "What is it?" Coral whispered, "More Esquelleros?" Dash gave her a look of confusion. "Esque-what now?" Coral frowned. "Esquelleros. The dogs that live here?" The rainbow kit nodded. "Ahh, that makes sense..."

The red she-kit pulled them into a bush, hissing "Those darned dogs are guarding the exit!" Dash looked thoughful before saying "I'll be bait, you two get outta here." Her plan sparked immediate objections from both of her companions. "What? Are you crazy?" Coral gasped, "They'll tear you to shreds!" "I agree with Coral," Gail nodded, "Too risky."

"Do you have a better idea?" Dash remarked before responding to the silence with "Didn't think so!"

Dash crept from her cover and when she was a safe distance away she uelled, "Hey guys! Come and get me!" before sprinting off at top speed. The dogs followed, signaling Gail and Coral to escape. They ran out of the graveyard. "I hope she'll be okay..." Gail panted as they ran.

Nox laughed, "Because I'm feeling generous I'll give you a chance to live. Leave Equestria and never return, or I will make you. Your choice. What's it going to be?"
Nodding, Lux followed Rivershine to the palace.
Surprised to hear a knock on her door, daylight hesitated before walking to the door and opening it a crack. She didn't say anything, just looked at the excited pony at her doorstep.
