Taiken looked at jupiter while he walked "have we met before, you seem familiar?" he said as he concentrated at what was in front of him at the same time

"did you now?" he said as he ducked his head avoiding a branch "then you must know that there are younglings that don't have anyone except me to take care of them" he said to jupiter crouching under a log to crawl under it, since it was too large for him to crawl over it

"showoff" he said with a smile as he laughed from the slight sense of humor, Cynder started to slip off Taiken's back. He tried correcting himself using his tail, but he couldn't quite reach to fix cynder but only to hold her in place on his back

"I just need you to get cynder back into place on my back, so she will stay balanced and not fall off" he said laying down so cynder wouldn't be injured anymore than she already was if she did fall off

Taiken lifted back up as soon as cynder was back in place and looked at her "how are you doing back there?" he said as he began walking again

"don't worry, we'll be at your cave soon." he said as his left hind leg twitched a little bit "curse my old joints, I swear I wish I had wings at times" he told himself aloud as he kept walking as best he could

"eh, there's nothing to restore i'm too old if anything it's better to leave an old hermit like me to just crumble, however that day is far ahead of me" he said with a sense of sarcasm and seriousness at the same time

He gave a quick thought to the alone part "Believe or not I prefer to live alone it gives me time to meditate and concentrate on reiterating myself so that I may gain more knowledge in the healing arts" he said as he looked up "there's your cave, now we just need to head up the side, shouldn't be too hard" he said digging his claws into the ground and started climbing the wall

He gave a slight smile "thank you for being so kind to this old hermit" he said as he climbed to the edge of the wall digging his claws into the edge of the top and climbed into the cave entrance

"alright if you say so" he slid Cynder off his back onto the table stretching out all her legs so that they heal a little faster "I don't think you'd prefer to be lonely in your current state, i'll remain here for as long as I am needed" he said as he walked to the front of the entrance and kept a stance overseeing the ground and air

Taiken sat there at the front entrance, as quiet as one can possibly get. occasionally he would look back to Cynder make sure she was alright and doing fine, but otherwise he would stare off outside the entrance and not say a single word

"I do not know, all I know is that the one I am descended from is very special in many ways" he said a few seconds after the question was asked to him, he shrugged at himself "I cannot even remember, the first thing about my origin"

Taiken turned around "the past is just a memory, the present is right now, and right now you need to rest, regain what strength you can let me worry about me and everything else right now" he said as he walked over to Cynder and observing for any signs of changes in the broken bones

Taiken looked around confused seeing no one else except Cynder *who was that?* he thought to himself *it couldn't have been Cynder, she's lying on the table she'll be fine within a day or two though* he couldn't help but look around some more out of confusion as to where the voice came from

Taiken shook himself, for a moment he thought he was going crazy, but then he realized this had happened before. *what? who is Zactrul?* he thought hoping it could hear his thoughts

Taiken turned around to mist "who is Zactrul?" he said more curious than he had ever been in years

Kyte was waiting just outside the cave, he didn't want to startle the Elder inside so he decided to stay outside

"how do you know this? and why don't I remember any of this?" he said staying in front of Cynder in case Mist was a threat to her

Kyte overheard and jumped up into the cave "and when did this happen? he asked out of curiosity

Taiken saw Kyte and dragged his claws out just for defensive purposes

The dark essence had awoken, it began stirring inside Mist "so the Elder is here, perfect" it said with an agitated tone to its voice

The Elder was confused at everything happening around him "What is going on? what is this darkness?" he couldn't help but be completely oblivious to his surroundings anymore he was startled at all of this
