Welcome to the Death Weapon Meister Academy, also known as the DWMA. Here is where young Meisters come and get a weapon or partner.

The students are arranged into three groups. We group them by stars and the more stars you have the higher level you are. The first is the lowest and are rookies. Level one and they have one star. The second level are more advanced. With two stars. The third level is given to those who are some of the best Meisters. There is also another rank which is the Death Scythe and the meisters in that category are usually third rank. But some are not.

The classes of the DWMA are split into two categories, the NOT Class, and the EAT Class. NOT stands for Normally Overcome Target. Most of the students are in the NOT classes. The EAT class are the students who are more 'normal' and less powerful. EAT stands for Especially Advantaged Talent.

Techniques
In Soul Eater, the characters can use certain techniques during battle that revolve around a given person's "soul wavelength", which, as the name implies, is the wavelength of one's soul. By using their soul wavelengths, a meister and his or her weapon can pull off a more powerful attack by performing a "soul echo" which matches their soul wavelengths. When the soul echo is used to its maximum level, it becomes known as a "soul resonance" which allows the partners to use high-class attacks. These include the "witch hunt", which causes the given weapon to grow and cut through the air for long range attacks; the "sorcerer hunt", otherwise known as the "witch hunting's witch hunt" which is a more powerful version of the witch hunt attack; a stronger version of the witch hunt known as the "demon hunt"; and the "protective spirit body", which creates a large shield for defense against attacks by fusing the soul wavelengths of the partners. A powerful, and rare technique known as the "soul purge" enables the user to send his or her own soul wavelength through one of their hands to directly damage the opponent's body; when using both hands, which deals twice as much damage, the technique is known as the "double soul purge twin lance". A stronger form of the soul purge is known as the "soul menace". Other techniques include the "soul feedback" which is used to find the presence of others, or the "soul protection" which is a magical barrier used by witches to hide their soul wavelength from others allowing them to blend in with normal humans.

" The water though is a different story. The lava passed, but some fumes and the heat still are obvious in the area, so the water ought to clear up in four, five hours if we are lucky. I just hope no predators find us a nice meal. "

^Plot

^{MoonClan is loyal to StarClan, and would give up everything to live by the code, and keep StarClan alive in their hearts. But, when BlackStar causes trouble in the clan, StarClan sets a dreadful curse on the clan. Not only are the cats themselves cursed, but the land, prey and demons are infected by the curse. Twelve centuries later, ShadowStar receives the first prophecy from StarClan sense the curse was placed.}

^{There must come a time to reverse,
what a simple minded curse.
See them without their flaw,
and allow them to lend a paw.}

^{The prophecy was short, and simple but puzzling for the leader. ShadowStar not must decide which kits are the ones to fulfill the prophecy, and cleanse the land of this deadly curse.}

^{The Curse
~*~*~*~}

^{Not only has the curse affected the cats. But its brought demons to the land, and affected prey and the land itself. In the prochecy, StarClan called it simple-minded. But something this complex, they have to be joking.}

^{The Cats - The cats seem normal at first glance, but only in daylight hours. When the sun sets, all hell breaks loose. The cats turn into their gruesome, demon form and hallucinations appear from every angle. and do the unthinkable. They do not rest, never sleeping. In the morning, they remember nothing of the past night. They think all is well, that they are not cursed.}

^{The Prey - They prey look normal, but if threatened become twice as hard to kill and smaller animals become a bit faster, or stronger.}

^{The Land - The land surrounding the camp has become shrouded in black fog, only MoonClan cats can see in it. Poor MoonClan cats. The land looks normal, but then again, its very dangerous. Random pits appear for mere seconds out of complete randomness. Plants enjoy becoming very large, and trapping cats and prey into bars. The Land plays dangerous pranks. Many cats have died, just by not being able to avoid a walking tree.}

^{The Demons - The Demons are the worst part of it all. Large, dogs. Five times the weight, strength, speed. Five times everything. They prove the biggest threat, though cannot enter camp, because of the clan. StarClan still protects them, and they refuse to alloy anything harmful, but the cats themselves penetrate the camp.}

^{The Territory

This is the territory. The River runs right down the middle, and other than the camp, is the only thing un-touched by the curse. The the left of the river is the meadow, where the clan hunts. To the right is the forest. Inside the forest lay the demons. At the back of the meadow, there is a small clump of cherry blossom tree's where the clan camp is. There, the dens are made out of tree stumps, that enter into a under ground den. ( The stump is where you enter, then go down into the den. ) The dens are not connected, to make sure that they are stable, but they have a secret exit in the back.}

^{Clan Rules

^{1. Defend you Clan with your life. You may have friendships in other Clans, but your loyalty must only lie in your Clan.}

^{2. Do not hunt or trespass on other Clan territory. The rule is broken when traveling two fox-lengths of the lake.}

^{3. Elders, Kits, and Queens must be fed before Warriors and Apprentices. Unless they have permission, Apprentices' may not eat until the Elders have been fed. If any cat is sick or injured, they eat beforehand.}

^{4. Prey is to be killed to be eaten only. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.}

^{5. A kit must be at least six moons old in order to be apprenticed.}

^{6. A newly named cat must sit silent vigil for one night after receiving his or her warrior name.}

^{7. A cat cannot be made deputy until first mentoring one cat first.}

^{8. The Deputy becomes leader after the current leader dies or retires.}

^{9. After death or retirement of a deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.}

^{10. A gathering of all the Clans of a truce that lasts one night. There shall be no fighting on this night.}

^{11. Boundaries are to be marked and checked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.}

^{12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if it is not of the same Clan as yours.}

^{13. The word of Clan leader is law.}

^{14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill in battle. They kill only when necessary or those who are outside the warrior code.}

^{15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.}

^{16. Medicine Cats cannot have a mate or kits.}

^{17. Kits must stay in camp and not hunt until they are apprenticed.}

^{18. No cats may share the name of the Clans names. It is to show honor to the founding members.}
