Goldenheart was leading a ThunderClan patrol he stopped once he scented a scent he hadn't scented in what seemed like forever. He signaled his patrol to stop "Goldenstar?" He mewed into the dark. "Goldenheart!" Goldenstar replyed padding out of the shadows.

"How are you Goldenheart?" Goldenstar asked "Good good, hows the clan?" He replyed "Oh we've been through quite alot." Goldenstar mewed. "Well why are you here?" Goldenheart meowed. "I wanted to visit my real home clan." Goldenstar replyed.

Goldenheart shifted his paws nervously "Everyone get back to camp, I want to talk privately with Goldenstar." The patrol left "You know your not supposed to be here, Yellowstar banished you from the clan." Goldenheart mewed to him "That doesn't mean Brassstar will make me leave." Goldenstar replyed.

Goldenheart looked nervous "I guess he'll talk to you, only since your a clan leader." Goldenheart mewed "Follow me." Goldenheart started running off.

"Yes, I recognize that scent, it smells like.... Spot!" Goldenstar mewed looking into the shadows "Come on out Spot."

Goldenheart stared at the she-cat with passion in his eyes, he didn't even know the she-cat what was he doing?

Goldenheart continued thinking about Spot. Goldenstar blinked "Go ahead and go to my camp, I'll be back in awhile."

Goldenstar looked at Goldenheart "You deputy yet?" He mewed breaking Goldenheart's chain of thought. "No, Brassstar didn't think I was good enough to be deputy." Goldenheart mewed with a mixture of ambition and anger in his eyes.

Goldenstar stopped "What am I doing?, I can't be away from my clan, I'm sorry Goldenheart I must go." Goldenstar mewed "I understand, leader must have a lot of important tasks." Goldenheart mewed with ambition returning to his eyes.
