These questions were the same ones Mizuka had asked himself when he awoke beside his mother. When his world had been shattered for the first time. The pup had been left nameless on the border of ScarClan, at the mercy of the creatures who lived there. He had been lucky they were kind. Some of them had tried to ease the pain he had felt. The pain they were feeling now.

Memories flickered through his mind of the day Vita had asked him to be his son, back when he was an Intégre. Then they were adopted into the Praelium family. All the deaths... those were among his memories as well. Pocketkit, the little she-cat who had been impaled on a branch... He hadn't know he, but he had stayed with her as she died. That memory still made him sad. But now, there was a surfacing memory of another death. He could hear the voices so vividly, the memory might as well have been playing itself out then and there. The family crying over the death of their son. Mizzy, they called him...

Mizzy. The name sounded so familiar. Like it was from someone he knew... But he couldn't figure out who. The name, who did it belong to.. Who's was it? Then it came back to him. He knew.

The name was... his.

Mizuka's flank began rising, faintly at first, but it quickly grew stronger. His heart thudded in his chest, and his eyes opened, the warmth returning to their brown features. He was back. Sure, one life was down, but the others were still here.

He was still here.

Mizuka sat up, resting his head against Vita's leg. He closed his eyes again, but was staying fully conscious this time. "I'm s-sorry," he murmured, shivering with fear and with cold. "I w-was coming to see my m-mother's grave. I was trying to keep my distance, but I slipped in the mud and...and...Next thing I know, I was t-tumbling about in the river. D-drowning." Tears dripped into the fur around his eyes as he clung onto his father. Only three times had the dog cried in the seven moons he'd been in the clan. When his mother died, when Vita died, and now.

"I'm sorry, Vita. S-so sorry. I'm sorry for scaring y-you and Bella and everyone e-else." The dog looked rather shaken, and if he hadn't feared the river after his mother died, he feared it now. It had killed him twice, by ripping the life from the only family he had known, and by ripping the life from him.

Mizuka had been out wandering the territory once again when he caught an unfamiliar scent. Two unfamiliar scents, rather. Curiosity got the best of the dog, and he followed the scents. Only moments later he saw the two servals, and was quite aware that they could see him too. Even though he was large for his age, ten moons, Mizzy knew that they could probably take him, or at least seriously injure him. His muscles were tense, but he tried to keep his expression friendly. "Hello. What is your business here?" he woofed.

Mizuka relaxed a bit, dipping his head to both servals. "I am Mizuka Praelium. You seem like you will be wonderful additions to the clan, but I cannot accept new members, as I am not a Guardsmen." Even as he spoke, the word 'yet' seemed to flash through his brown eyes, and he offered them a smile. "It shouldn't be too long before one comes around. Or several." The dog sat down, watching the two animals.

Mizuka trotted into the crevice for the meeting, dipping his head to Bonpaw. "Hello," he rumbled to the group's leader as he adjusted into a sitting position. It was a bit of a squeeze for him, but the dog didn't mind. He was glad to be part of the SCAR. His adopted sister had been a victim of abuse and rape, and the male knew how terrible it was for any animal. As he thought about her, his brown eyes scanned around for Samaya. He hadn't spent much time with her yet, but wanted to get to know his sister more.

Mizuka smiled, and managed to weave his way through the other members to Samaya. "Congratulations, sis!" he woofed, brown eyes shining with delight. "You deserve it!" The dog's tongue lolled out of his smiling jaws, and his tail wagged, though it was a small wag so he wouldn't hit anyone.

Mizuka's large paws could be heard thudding down the hall towards the room even before he reached it. Stepping inside, he coughed. "I see you're doing some renovations. You've certainly kicked up a lot of dust." To punctuate his comment, the serval's adopted brother coughed again. "Do you mind if I help? I haven't had a creative project in moons." He smiled at Samaya, warm brown eyes ready for a decorating challenge.

Mizzy smiled, accepting the hug from the serval. "No, no, you truly deserve this, Samaya. Maybe I'll join you up there some day." The German shepherd smiled. "You'll do wonderfully. I've never been the best with comforting sad animals. I usually want to cry along with them." He chuckled. The dog knew he was a big softy and had a big heart. He couldn't help but feel for others, he was just so dang affectionate. If he were talking to someone about being raped, he knew it wouldn't help if they were crying with him. Especially if he didn't know them well.

Mizuka's lips curled in a grin. "Well, luckily for you, I'm a big, strong tough-guy." He woofed jokingly in the deepest voice he could muster. The trainee's voice was already a naturally deep rumble, and he couldn't get it much lower, not for lack of trying. "What do you need me to lift first?"

Mizuka chuckled. "Maybe, some day," he woofed, drawing a long tongue over his sister's ear. "But for now, it's your turn to bask in the spotlight. I'm proud of you."

Track <3 Not sure if Mizzy has much of a place in this. He only really talked to Husher the day he joined and has had limited interaction with Grym. If I am correct, though, Grym's serval daughter was Pocketkit, who Mizzy comforted in her death. I don't know if that gives any little connections.

Mizuka smiled, then his face turned into one of mock panic. "Oh no! Is it time to start planning dresses already? I haven't even looked at one yet! I need to get myself a beautiful dress!" The dog offered a warm smile to the female, and rumbled, "You look beautiful, sis. Who's the lucky guy who gets to escort you to the Prom? I'll need to make sure he knows the consequences of hurting my Samaya." Mizzy grinned mischievously, flexing his large paws.

Mizuka let out a dark chuckle. "Oh, if he hurts you, he'll be Brokenpaw, alright," the dog rumbled, his paws flexing once again. Mizzy was certainly protective of his sister. Don't let the softy nickname fool you; he could be quite a formidable foe when he desired to be so.
