Mizuka looked up at the hyena, his eyes wet with tears, and nodded. "Yes, of course." The dog remembered how Husher had been the first one to find him and his mother. Of course, by then, she was already long dead and no one could do anything about it. But now, her son was going to turn her shallow grave into a proper burial site, and he was finally going to lay her to proper rest. Mizuka knew it wouldn't really affect her, as she had never believed in afterlife of any kind, but it made the only child feel better.

The male smiled at Breakdance, giving a small chuckle. "I guess not. But she didn't believe in any sort of afterlife, so I don't know if she can see me now or not..." The dog sighed. "I don't suppose either of you would mind helping me give her a real burial, would you?" He got to his paws, using them to begin to uncover the shallow hole he had dug by himself the first night he had spent in ScarClan.

Mizuka still looked surprised and somewhat shocked. He had to be on the lookout for a hyena spirit, now. Lovely. "I'll be on the lookout," he barked, nodding to the guardsmen. "And hopefully this spirit won't get the best of us."

Mizuka smiled. "Yes, be careful that you don't injure your neck again...I'm only prepared for one burial tonight," he woofed. The pup's paw finally uncovered sand from a solid, white object, and he closed his eyes for a moment. He had not expected to find his mother's body still whole and preserved, but had also hoped that they wouldn't find her still decaying. And they hadn't. Instead he had uncovered what appeared to be her skull. Sighing, the pup knew that there would be many bones to still recover and re-bury before the night was over.

Mizuka nodded to Grym. "yeah. We're going to be digging for a while. We'll need to dig a grave for Nalike, too," he woofed. Turning to Husher, he grinned. "Well, my Mom used to say that a burial in fire was a burial for a king. So maybe burning your face off wouldn't necessarily be an act of hositility."

Mizuka nodded. "She passed away right here, curled around me, in the middle of the night." The dog continued to dig. "I returned the following night, after I had been accepted into the clan, and buried her, but it was a shallow grave. it's about time I came back to give her a proper burial, like she deserves. If she hadn't saved me, she wouldn't of drowned. She's a hero, to me."

Mizuka smiled. He had thought that when he finally returned to this spot to bury his mother, he would be alone. He imagined himself in the cold moonlight, digging through the sand to retrieve her remains, tears falling from his muzzle and cheeks and whiskers. And he was wrong. As the dog continued to dig, he realized that the moment he had become part of ScarClan, he would never be alone again. "Thank you. Thank you all so much," he woofed, looking about his clanmates. "You've turned a sad reminder of my mother's death into a joyful remembrance of her life. I just wish you had got a chance to meet her. She was...She was wonderful."

The dog trotted over, pebble in his jaws. Looking around with brown optics, the German shepherd dropped it in Crimescene's basket. The candidate's idea of the depression center had definitely gotten his attention. He wasn't depressed, but he was young, and he still had time to lose everything he still had. Besides, it could help those who suffered with depression.

Just a short, quick question. If you have multiple possessions, are you required to buy, say, a wolf, if you wanted your character to have a wolf body?

Mizuka saw the congregation of his clanmates, and his ears perked. "What's going on, guys?" he asked. He scented his father, and pushed through the animals in an attempt to find him. And find him Mizzy did. Now the pup stood, staring at the body, tears glistening in his warm brown eyes. "D-dad?" he woofed quietly, pain lacing his voice. He stood, motionless, staring at the ScarClanner who had adopted him. He stumbled forward, collapsing beside Vita, and buried his muzzle in his fur.

Mizuka heard his nickname, and appeared from virtually nowhere. "Yes?" he rumbled, his voice filled with its now usual ache. He had grown once more since Vita's death, larger and more filled out, and had been thriving mostly in a painful solitude within the castle walls, so his family had not seen much of him. The loss of his adopted father had hit him hard. The dog had never had a true family before Vita, and losing him seemed like more than Mizzy could take. But he appeared when Fluvious had called him. They were siblings, after all.

Mizuka had placed himself in the back of the crowd. He had even distanced himself from the furthest reaches. The male was large now, larger than a dog his age would standardly be, and his broad shoulders were hunched. "Family. Friends. A father..." he mumbled, looking at his paws. The warmth that once possessed his brown eyes had been replaced by a painful ache since the death of his father. Vita had cared for him, and someone had decided to kill him. Already in his ten moons of existence Mizzy had seen far more death than any animal should've seen in a lifetime. And it didn't show any signs of stopping or slowing soon.

The dog knew that depression was a personal problem for him. He had lost so many loved ones, so many souls he had cared about. At one point, just after Vita had died, he had contemplated suicide. But the German shepherd knew those very thoughts would disappoint his adopted father. But he still had nightmares. Of suicide, death, disappointment... It was all a plague to his mind. So he listened carefully, despite being farther back than necessary.

Mizuka followed them at a distance. It was unclear if the dog was trying to stalk after them and watch without being seen, or if he was simply left behind and preferred to stick to the shadows. He still wasn't aware that Fluvious was a reincarnate of Vita, who had adopted Miz and fathered the Praelium that now had his spirit. The dog felt partially responsible for him, though. Like he deserved more of a family than Mizuka had gotten.

Mizuka's eyes widened. "V-Vita?" he woofed, hope filling his eyes. His tail began wagging at a million miles an hour. "You aren't g-gone, then?" the dog asked, desperately and insanely happy to hear this from Fluvious. He thought he had lost his father forever, but it appeared it wasn't so.

Mizuka trotted towards the rest of the group, offering a smile to his adopted sister. He was now magically aware that Fluvious was his father because his roleplayer said so. He dipped his head to the rest of the group, unsure if he knew any of them. He recognized Cerulean, though he had never talked to the she-cat, and he also recognized Mitchiko. He had talked to the tom at his campaign party, briefly.

He had been heading for the river. His mother's grave, to be more specific. She had drowned when he was a pup and he had buried her in the spot where she had died, where he had slept beside her through the torturous, cold night. It was raining, which was common now, with Poseidon on the attack.

When he finally reached the top of the hill that hid the grave, he looked down in shock. The river had swelled from all the rain, and now his mother's grave lay under the water. His large paws thudding on the muddy ground, splashing it into the air, he trotted towards the river's edge. The dog had no intentions of going into the river, but the muddy bank thought otherwise.

He tried to skid to a stop on the muddy ground, but he kept sliding, on a crash course to the river. He flattened his ears, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. The next sensation he felt was the water soaking into his fur as the current swept him away from the shore with shocking speed. He tumbled through the water, bouncing off of bushes that were half-hidden by the waves.

As hard as he tried, the trainee could still not get a breath of air. Every time he tried, he inhaled more water. He knew he was going to drown, and so he tried to anchor himself down. The dog crashed into a particularly thick bush, and as he did, pushed himself deeper into its branches. This successfully anchored him down, and the pup let himself relax, his large brown paw above water. Most of his head was above the water too, the current tugging his ears. On the way to visit my mother's grave, I drowned just like her... he thought, before his mind went black and he went unconscious. Only moments later the dog died in the bush.

For any passerby along the river, the body of Mizuka Praelium would be a patch of brown and black fur among the branches of a dead bush, barely noticeable.

Now that his soaking body had been pulled from the river, the trainee looked rather peaceful. As if he could be sleeping. Sadly, all those present knew that was not the case. If the dog could hear Bella now, hear her claiming him as her son, it would've made his heart swell with love. With the feeling of acceptance. He had never gotten to talk to his adopted mother much, but he still loved her. The cheetah and her mate, Vita, had given him a family and made him so happy.

If it had been Mizuka standing over the body of a dead friend, he would've tricked himself into seeing their flank rising and falling, thinking that, at any moment, they would start coughing up the water they had swallowed. They would still be alive, still breathing. But, after standing by the bodies of so many loved ones, standing beside friends and gazing at the bodies of dead clanmates, the rolls had finally been reversed.

I really liked the look of this guy for Mizzy, but he looks so depressed...And now that Vita is back, Mizzy is done being depressed...
