Of course, it seemed that SunClan always got torrents of joiners, ever since he was a pup in fact. It was more of a question of which of them remained active after. "Sure miss, just swear your loyalty to the clan and its lord."

Nodding absently as he ducked his head down to adjust his blue and white striped bandana, the lab used his jaws to tug it around before raising his head again. "Sure Irene, welcome to the clan. Need a tour or are you good?" The Australian accented Captain would fix his brown gaze on the wolfess inquiringly. Tours were a frequent thing he carried or, or used to carry out with his sister-in-law Peppermint and Ni and Witchy at times. The habit had died but perhaps he could reignite it.

[i]Only silence responded to him but what more did he expect? He needed to wake up, this wasn't doing him any good sitting here and mising over his deceased love in their meadow. Yet how do you wake up from a dream you can't seem to control? Huffing in irritation, the lean male would shake his muzzle vigorously to try and revive himself from the reverie his mind had trapped him in but it was no use and only ended up with him looking as if he was trying to rid a pesky fly.
The crunch of leaves was what quickly got hit attention, his ears pricked and his body spinning at the sound. Eyes bright and alert, he narrowed them and pulled his head forwards to try and spot a shadow merging into the darkness. It had almost seemed... Russet in colour.
He was going insane. He had to go look.
Grunting in annoyance at his own madness, the Captain puffed his chest out and strode over defiantly to where he had seen the shadow disappear. His eyes sifted through the darkness till they could make out what seemed to be an outline of a figure, a dog. Then her scent hit him, impossible it would seem when in a dream but it smelt so close, so real. "... D-Dee?"

"Oomph!" Ah, he should've expected it. "I couldn't miss out on a party like this." he said and laughed while getting up. "Did ya manage to get a date?"Well yes, he had managed to get a date but it was looking nearer to he had managed to get stood up. He didn't mind of course and wasn't one for holding grudges anyway, it wasn't in his nature to. Harvey was probably just dealing with other things but that was okay because Niall was here and where there was a Niallin, madness was sure to follow. "Actually, Harvey asked me but I haven't seen her yet. I got all sexy in my bowtie, look." He joked with a chuckle, wiggling his shoulders to show off said sexy bowtie. "Remember the old SunBall we had? Yeah, the suit I wore then was a little small so it was only the bowtie left." But then, he had been all of six moons when he had wore it.

A rap of thick, calloused paw pad against wood wood muffle across the door through into the room as Merlin waited outside his step dad's room. Stepdad was what he was to the lab but Merlin hardly ever addressed him as such, hardly ever addressed him at all in fact. Well, he would change that now, his parents were all he had left, along with Niall, ever since his pups fell inactive and Nidalee died.
Her death was something he would never fully get over but he had certainly gained some closure over it; she had visited him only recently in spirit form whilst dreaming. Beautiful as ever of course but weary just as he probably had mirrored. Though this was something he would keep behind locked lips.
Instead he was here to see if his dad was okay, he hadn't seen Westy around and wanted to make sure the former impressionist was holding up okay. "Dad, are you in? It's Merlin." For some reason he felt obliged to include his name for he was unsure if the tom would recognise his voice through a wooden door.

"Something's put you in a good mood." As if draped in the sun's rays itself as the golden form emerged through the birch trees, the Captain held an amused gleam across his soothing brown eyes. For once his bandana was straight and he looked down only to blink in surprise at the fact before lifting his eyes up to the she wolf again. He had admitted she was pretty on first seeing her but in this light she looked like an angel, something he very much doubted from the simple look in her eyes at the moment.
"Care to share why?" Extroverted and genuinely a bubbly soul, the lab found it only natural to search for a conversation in the silences that pleated between social interactions. Plus, this character seemed to be quite an interesting one, not like the normal happy-go-lucky members they tended to have an influx.

He was ice, frozen in time and unable to move. Limbs locked, he stood helpless as she rushed towards him and he could feel her and smell her and... See her for the first time in what seemed like eternity. It was a miracle he didn't crumple under his emotions. Finally he gathered his wits and embraced her tightly with his paw whilst holding him up with his other. "Dee." Her name repeated was all he needed to say, it meant everything he wanted to say. Scrunching his eyes closed, he pressed his forehead to hers and sighed deeply.
At her whimpers of apology, he would open his eyes and pull his head back to smooth her fur down over her ear with his tongue. "Shh, shh. It wasn't your fault, it was never your fault. You couldn't have done anything." He was harsh on her for Yami, the regret for not being able to say he loved her again before she died was a weight he had carried heavily up until this moment. To finally be able to reassure her was like he was floating. "Gods I miss you." He would stammer out in a sigh as a blast of her scent hit him like a sweet fantasia.

It seemed that his dad had just thrown a pile of questions on him and left them without time for him to respond like dirty laundry, which made the lab laugh internally and bring out a hint of a grin on his muzzle. Well he certainly seemed perky which was a nice change for it seemed both his parental figures were common sufferers of depression, it was strange for him to have not followed the same route. Strange but irrelevant for he hadn't come here to ponder on such thoughts.
"Nice painting, a new piece?" Eying the pup on the canvas, the canine wondered if it was one of him for the tom had confessed thinking about him as he had Westy. He even would have drawn his fathers too if he harboured any talent for the skill. Broad lab paws had no niche for painting.
"I actually came to see you. Not clan business but more a, erm, father and son thing. We hardly talk and we should, I thought, so why not change that?" It was evident he was a little sheepish, this was the male that he had looked up to all his puphood along with his other father, he just didn't want to be a disappointment to them, or fall away like all his siblings had.

"Dad?" There was bad vibe around the air and it unnerved the Captain, something didn't feel right. Though an effort was shown to brighten spirits by the grin on the lab's face as he looked down at his stepdad who he had never seen as just someone his biological father had married but rather someone who was as much as a father to him as Atticus, blood or not. He knew he hadn't had the best of circumstances ever since Merlin became a squire, vividly recollecting the bouts of depression both his parents had endured frequently from the BloodClan attacks and Atticus' muteness. It was only natural that the situation had the canine concerned.

Well that made two of them, sucked that there was nothing to do at the moment since the lab swore he had already circled the border twice and this was now his third in attempts to occupy himself. So spotting the cheetah, he helplessly grinned in relief at the break in monotonous traipsing and headed towards the male. "Name and business, please." He always found it a little rude without the little please at the end so he added it on whenever their seemed to be a friendly soul at the border, unless they were an enemy of course.

Incredibly, a laugh, albeit a bitter one, sounded from the back of everyone. Merlin stepped forwards with an icy grin on his maw, disbelief evident in his eyes. "No, no you didn't. You couldn't have... Dad?" His voice cracked slightly as he addressed his step father. Everyone knew the penalties for killing a clanmate, none were any that could be swayed in their favour. He couldn't believe he may be losing his father after just rekindling his bond with the tom.

"My father's not insane!" Merlin snapped uncharacteristically before realising he had done so and pulling his head back to look down at his paws with a deep frown creasing his forehead. "My father isn't insane." The words were more softly spoken now, the usual recklessness that had clouded his judgement whilst a youth now reigned back in with a sharp pull. He was older now, a Captain even, and knew better than to allow his emotions free reign as he used to. "He is just guilt ridden, Dad you are just feeling guilty. No one has evidence for this, you didn't do it."
