“I’m sorry...” he said with a soft sigh, running his fingers through his hair. He knew that no amount of apologizing would make it better, make what she went through because of him any less awful. He was glad that they were all together again, though and he didn’t plan on doing anything to change that.

Dominik nodded, the doctors words calming him a bit but he was still worried. He gave Addi a small smile, letting out a quiet sigh as he tried his best to think positive.

Plot - (based on the book/movie After) Aspyn was a freshman in college, nervous yet excited for this new chapter in her life. She was rather introverted and wasn’t much into the party scene so she planned to primarily focus on her studies, as well as considered a part time job on the side. However, when her roommate invited her to a party on her first night, Aspyn found it hard to say no as she didn’t want to seem boring or like a loser. It was there that it came out that she met (boy), who she found herself drawn to, despite finding him terribly obnoxious. Over time, they grow close and she begins to develop feelings for him. What she doesn’t know is that she was just part of a bet, a ploy to get her in bed after the fact that she was a virgin came out at the party during a game of truth or dare.

“So, Aspyn, truth or dare?” The question brought her out of her thoughts, drawing her attention to a boy across the living room. She glanced around the room, taking her bottom lip between her teeth for a brief moment before finally speaking. “Truth.” She answered, shifting her gaze to her lap, ignoring the disappointment from those around her. “Okay, boring. What’s the strangest place you’ve had sex?” Her eyes widened for a moment, taken back by the ease at which the question left his lips. She didn’t consider herself a ‘prude’ per say but sex was something she was always taught not to talk about. “Uh...” she stammered, glancing around as she felt her cheeks growing red. “I don’t think I’m playing anymore.” She stood, smoothing her shirt. “What’s wrong? Never had sex before?” Her silence answered his question, ignoring the laughs from those around her. It was then that she seen someone lean over and whisper in his ear, watching as a smirk spread across his face as he whispered something back. She took a deep breath, moving through the people to get to the door, planning to walk back to her dorm as her roommate, her ride, was drunk. Aspyn took a deep breath once outside, leaning against the railing of the porch. “God, this was a mistake.” She mumbled to herself, running her fingers through her hair.

Plot: Happiness and Dominik don't go together, it seems that they never have. In search of false happiness, something to cover up everything he was avoiding, Dom turned to drugs. Cocaine, heroin, you name it, he's probably done it. At only twenty, he's wasting his life away, alone. One night, while drunk and lost downtown, he runs into a girl. Perfect, pretty, she seemed to have everything going for her and he absolutely resented her for it. But despite his efforts to push her away, she makes it her job to help the broken boy beat his demons.

Personality: Bitter, hateful, secretive, and narcissistic with a soft spot for dogs and children.
Dominik lifted the bottle to his lips though a look of disappointment quickly crossed his features when he realized it was empty. He let it drop to the ground, watching as the glass shattered around his feet with a satisfying crash that seemed to echo in the silence. He wasn’t sure what time it was but he knew it was late, the only light coming from the dim street lights above him. The stores around him were closed and the streets were empty. With a huff, the male sat down on the curb, pulling a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, lifting one to his lips and lighting it.
-
The voice seemed to startle him a little. He wasn’t expecting anyone to be around. It took Dominik a moment to process that she was talking to him. “I’m fantastic,” the male slurred as he took a drag from his cigarette. “Couldn’t be any better.” He didn’t attempt to hide the sarcasm that laced his words, one look and anyone could tell that he wasn’t okay. He leaned back a bit, shifting to lift his gaze to the female that stood just a few feet away. “It’s dangerous for a pretty girl like you to be out here alone.”
-
She wasn’t sure how long she stood out there, staring down at her dead phone. It was her only hope of getting home. Aspyn had no idea how to get back to her dorm from here. It wasn’t until her fingers began to ache from the cold that she reluctantly went back inside, keeping her head low. Desperate to avoid the party, she headed upstairs and into the first room she came across that wasn’t locked. She was glad to find that she was alone in there, a sense of relief washing over her as she sat on the edge of the bed with a sigh.
-
Aspyn wanted nothing more than to crawl into her bed and hide out for the rest of the year - or at least until this was all a distant memory. Was it really that big of a deal that she was a virgin? She couldn’t understand why they seemed to care so much. Aspyn felt safe in the room, away from the people and the noise downstairs. She was sure that no one would bother her, being more preoccupied with the party but she was wrong. The voice caused her to jump, snapping her from her thoughts. “N-no,” she managed out as she stood from the bed, taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself. It was then that it clicked in her head that this was his room they were standing in. “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry. This is your room, isn’t it?” Aspyn glanced around briefly before allowing her eyes to rest on Jack.
-
Dominik couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the girls somewhat naive way of thinking, though brushed it off as he finished his cigarette, crushing it under his shoe. He thought that she had left, continued walking or something but was surprised to see that she was sitting down a mere few inches from him. “I’m not drinking,” he stated matter-of-factly. “anymore.” The male added with a smirk as he gestured to the shattered glass that littered the sidewalk behind them. He frowned a bit at her mention of home, shaking his head. “I don’t have a home.” He wasn’t sure why he was telling a complete stranger this but he chalked it up to the alcohol clouding his judgement.
-
He ran his fingers through his pale hair with a sigh, somewhat annoyed with the fact that she was still there talking to him. He was used to being alone and quite honestly, this conversation was killing his buzz. He didn’t understand why she hadn’t left yet. “Something like that,” Dominik answered, pulling out another cigarette and lighting it. “Don’t you have your own home to get back to or something?” He hadn’t meant the question to come out so harsh but he was feeling vulnerable, exposed almost, and it wasn’t a feeling he liked.
-
Dominik glanced over at her, forcing a small smile. “Ah, it’s okay. I’m not even sure why I told you... not many people know.” He shrugged, looking away and flicking his ashes onto the ground before taking a drag. In his peripheral, he could see her standing up and felt relieved yet somehow disappointed at the same time. Dominik tossed the cigarette butt on the ground before getting up and stretching a bit. A look of surprise crossed his features when she turned around, which quickly morphed into suspicion at her offer. It sounded too good to be true, especially coming from a stranger. “What’s the catch?”
-
“I was done playing,” she said, attempting to justify her reasons for rushing out so quickly. “It’s a stupid game anyway.” Aspyn glanced up when she seen him approaching, noticing how his eyes traveled her body. She could feel her heart quicken in her chest when he came to a stop in front of her, shifting nervously. “No.” She lied, biting her lower lip as she tried to avoid looking at him. He made her nervous for reasons she wasn’t quite sure of, all she knew was that it wasn’t a bad type of nervousness. It was a feeling she wasn’t quite familiar with.
-
Dominik was silent for a few long moments, struggling to process her kindness. It was foreign to him, something rarely experienced. “Okay... Thank you.” He ran his hand through his hair, studying her for a brief moment. He wasn’t sure what to say other than thank you. Someone had to playing a prank on him. No one is just this nice for the hell of it; she was offering him her entire apartment and he found himself remaining skeptical, even though she didn’t seem insincere. Dominik couldn’t remember the last time he had a guaranteed place to go at the end of each day. “I don’t even know your name.”
-
“Dominik,” he answered. “Dom for short but people usually just call me asshole.” He shrugged with a small smile, shoving his hands in the pockets of his jacket. The warming effects from the alcohol were wearing off and he could feel the cold air biting at him with every small breeze. “So, I guess show me this apartment of yours?” He suggested, eager to get somewhere warm.
-
“Simple enough,” he said in regards to her rules, leaning against the wall of the elevator. It was still strange to him, following a stranger to her apartment in the middle of the night. Sure he’d done just that plenty of times before but it was under different circumstances. Dominik remained quiet as he followed her from the elevator to the apartment, hesitating in the doorway for a brief moment before following her in. “Why do you pay for an apartment you don’t live in?” He asked as he looked around for a minute before turning toward her.

Growing up, Lucas never would have imagine his life would end up like this. He had a fairly normal childhood, both parents in the home, no money problems, youngest of the bunch. He did well in school for the most part, until college. He wasn’t sure where it all went wrong or how he fell into the wrong crowd but he did. After ‘harmless’ experimenting, provoked by his so-called friends, the twenty year old found himself addicted to heroin.
—Just a little backstory for him! In terms of plot was there anything you’d want to add?
