Josh chuckled softly at that. "Well I guess I'll drive you back home then," Josh offered with a smile. Then, he decided it was time for a change in subject. "So... What's your first class then?" He asked as he pulled into a Starbucks that was on their way to school. He would've asked her if he could stop by on his way to school but it wouldn't have mattered. Whether she said yes or no, he was still going to get a coffee and a glazed doughnut and that was that.
-
Josh scratched the back of his head before turning to Brooke. "Tech with Mr. Goodman... Looking forward to tech but not the teacher," He said as he walked inside the coffee shop. Mr. Goodman was nothing short of an a-hole and was often the only teacher enforcing every single rule to it's fullest extent. It was almost as if that teacher was looking for trouble with a student, as if he enjoyed getting a rise out of them. Either way, he was Josh's least favorite teacher in the entire school. "You want something? I'm paying," Josh offered as he looked over the menu.
-
"A little bit of both. Depends on my mood," Josh said with a small smile. He didn't take long to figure out what he wanted and ordered his breakfast quickly. It was his usual: a glazed doughnut and an iced coffee with chocolate fudge on the bottom. He gave the woman a ten dollar bill before picking up the coffee and pastry as he waited for Brooke to order.
-
Josh quickly snatched the card before replacing it with his own money. He was too stubborn to let her pay for the coffee. "Now I'm ready," Josh said with a quick wink towards Brooke before heading out towards the truck and jumping in the driver's seat. He turned the ignition back on and took a large bite out of the doughnut while he waited for Brooke.
-
Josh smiled. "So are you," Josh said simply in almost a teasing fashion. He then handed the card back to Brooke before driving the short distance back to school. By the time he finally parked in the parking lot, his doughnut was nothing more than scattered crumbs over his lap and his coffee was reduced to half of what it was when he bought it. Josh got out of the truck with his coffee before reaching into the back seat and grabbing his backpack.
-
"Yeah right," Josh said with a roll of his eyes. "I'll walk you to your first class if you want," Josh offered as he moved to her side. "My mom's a teacher here so I have access to the elevator so you don't have to go through those crowded stair cases." He then pulled out the staff card his mother had given him that was needed to operate the elevator.
-
"Owww," Josh moaned, rubbing his arm where she punched him as if it had hurt. "You know you could be nicer to me." He then started walking while he quickly chugged down his coffee. He would of much rather liked to casually drank it over a while but he knew the second he stepped into Mr. Goodman's class it would be going in the trash can.
-
Josh frowned as he grabbed Brooke's wrist before pulling her closer so she wouldn't be pushed out of the way. "Freshman," Josh muttered with a roll of his eyes. "Think they own the place." He then lead her as quickly as possible down the hallway until they reached the elevator. At that point, he let go of her wrist to push the staff card into a slot before the elevator door opened.
-
"You can say that again," Josh said with a sigh as he stepped in the elevator and hit the number "3". "Just don't drop out. You've made it this far and it would be a shame to see you quit so close to graduation." He offered her a smile even though he was dreading the school year as well. It would be a living hell but so long as Brooke's there he could get through it.
-
Josh frowned. "Why not? It isn't that bad here," He asked. Sure, Josh didn't like the school too much either but he wasn't going to just drop out. He couldn't believe Brooke was actually considering it on the first day.

OOC: Feel better soon :(
IC: Torrent then sighed and got up. He could always just go to the river by himself to hunt. It was on the border but technically it wasn't anyone's territory so he couldn't get in trouble for it... Torrent then slowly walked down a small path that hugged the side of the cliff. He had to be slow and cautious as one wrong move would cause him to fall to his death but it wasn't too long of a hike. As soon as he reached the bottom he did not hesitate to dive into the murky, fast moving water.
-
Josh immediately hit the emergency stop button and the elevator came to a halt. "What are you not telling me?" Josh asked, crossing his arms to his chest. "There's something going on and you need to tell me right now what it is."
-
Torrent hadn't noticed her. He was under the water and wasn't planning on surfacing again until he had caught at least something. He grabbed ahold of the slippery stones and slowly made his way to a log that would be a pretty good place to start hunting. The water slacked there so he wouldn't have to focus on losing his grip and the fish caught in the current wouldn't even see him coming. Dulling his colors down to where he was at least somewhat camouflaged with the brown water, he sat there patiently for a fish. He didn't have to wait long at least. A green bass with a stripe going down its side quickly sped past him and Torrent wasted no time pursuing it. He pushed off with his feet before using his tail to quickly propel himself towards the fish. As soon as he was close enough, his neck extended outwards and his jaws latched onto the fish with a death grip. The fish struggled to get free but Torrent's hook-like, serrated teeth were designed to catch and hold slippery prey so its efforts did more harm then good to the dying animal. Torrent then climbed out of the water and placed the fish on the bank.

Josh moved in front of the buttons so she couldn't get to them. "What are you hiding from me? Why are you hiding it?" Josh asked. "Do I not deserve to know? Or do you just not like me and would rather drop it on me at the last minute?"
-
Josh sighed and hit the "3" button again with a force that probably would've broken it. He then ran his fingers through is hair. England!? He thought to himself, glancing back at Brooke once before looking away. She's moving to England and refused to tell me until I backed her into a corner!
-
Josh just shook his head and hit the "1". He stared at her with angry eyes until the doors shut. Once they did he hit the emergency stop button again so he wouldn't have to go to his first class. In this mood he wouldn't stand a chance in tech so he decided that he'd just stay there until first period is over and done with.
-
Josh then settled down in the corner and glanced over at the security camera as the tardy bell went off. No doubt in his mind they were watching him skip class but he could careless. He felt like his life was ending. He worked up his courage all summer to ask her out on a date and was going to do it sometime soon but now what's the point? She was leaving and he would be alone.
-
Torrent's secondary eyelids came up so he could see better and immediately smiled at Kenai. "Thanks... But what are you doing here?"
-
Josh sighed before pulling out his smart phone. Are you seriously leaving? :( Josh texted Brooke, hoping she wasn't mad at him.
