✦ ✧ ✦ It doesn't take Aphrodite very long to join her fellow Coveners at the border. She hadn't seen someone from the Flights in ages! A grin on her face, the Polaris dips her head, "What a pleasant surprise!" She purrs. "We haven't had a visitor from the Flights in a long time - I'm Aphrodite, the leader of the Coven. How has the Flights been?" She asks with a tilt of her head.

✦ ✧ ✦ A small smile graces her lips, "Oh, Orion! I met him when I made my own ambassador visit." Aphrodite says. Yes, it was true that she was disheartened to hear that Sangria had disappeared. Though, Aphrodite had faith in Orion just as much as Lavinia did. As for the Brigade, well, Aphrodite had nothing to say. "Us? Oh, we're alright. . . a little quieter and slower these days, but nothing too bad has happened recently."

✦ ✧ ✦ "Coven, meeting time!" Aphrodite calls out as she usually does. This week was no different than the last. It had been boring, dry, and underwhelming. She had become increasingly concerned and overwhelmed by the thought that her enemies may be planning something sinister. How would she keep her home safe if she couldn't even protect herself?

Sitting in the meeting hall with a pink cape draped around her shoulders, she waits for members to file in. A small smile blooms on her maw, despite her intrusive thoughts. "Our only joiner for this week is unnamed . , so please be kind to her. I don't think that'll be an issue, though." Aphrodite says with a nod of her head.

"We don't have a lot to discuss. Icecap is gone and has forfeited his position. Debiru and Annelise have also decided to step down from their positions. The Coven thanks all three of them for their service." Aphrodite meows quietly. She was losing not only a grip on her life, but her members. Friends. Individuals she cared about. She felt like her life was slowly crumbling apart like a broken cookie. "I am demoting Sus Gang, however, Hakumen's warning is lifted. I will not be issuing any more warnings or demotions, but expect them upon next meeting if activity does not improve." Aphrodite says. She huffs a sigh, knowing that there wasn't much else to add. "Weekly tasks are open for grabs - Other than that, meeting is dismissed."

✦ ✧ ✦ Aphrodite was the first to stumble upon the mysterious stranger. Gliding to the ground, the Polaris pulls her wing in close to her sides. A smile blooms on her face, soft and kind. Of course, Aphrodite could spot her. The Polaris knew her members well, and she could tell that this girl stood out. "Are you new here? I don't believe we've met yet - I'm Aphrodite, the Coven's leader."

✦ ✧ ✦ She doesn't remember when he stopped coming. She doesn't remember when she stopped seeing his face at the border, waiting for her to come along and buy wine. But she does remember the last time he visited and how happy she had been to see him. The two shared many memories together, Aphrodite's first alcoholic drink, the time they'd sat and contemplated what it meant to be two fresh new leaders. She didn't remember when he stopped visiting her, but she remembers how sad she felt. Every day, she hoped to hear that a Cartelian was at the border. Sometimes there was, but it was never Asimov.

Eventually, Aphrodite had given up. She figured that maybe something had happened to him, or maybe he just didn't want to see her anymore. Either way, she didn't expect him to be back. But even so, Aphrodite still bought cherry wine every time she crossed a Cartelian's path. It was her favorite.

While she's tending her little pink garden, she hears a voice. It sounds like Asimov, but maybe that's just what she wanted to believe. Picking up her head, she follows the voice until she sees him up close. It's real, Asimov is there! He's alive!

Aphrodite doesn't give him a moment to explain himself, where he's been, or why he's been gone. "Asimov!" She yells, sprinting towards him. It was a good thing that the cupcakes were being held by telekinesis, because Aphrodite didn't waste a second before wrapping her arms around him in a tight squeeze of a hug. "I've missed you so much!"

✦ ✧ ✦ Aphy had invited all of her friends to join her today on the apple farm. She'd spent all morning picking honeycrisp, golden, and green apples. She cut them all up into little slices and threw them into a pot along with cinnamon sticks, oranges, cloves, ginger, water, and sweetener. After all that, she let it boil and boil for hours upon end. She watched and waited, looking at the clock. Her friends would be here any minute now.

Finally, Aphrodite strained the cider and left it on a low temperature. The whole barn smelled like fall. She poured herself a hot cup of cider, walking out towards the driveway of the apple farm. She waves her hand in the air at whoever arrives first, a smile on her face. "Fresh apple cider!"

✦ ✧ ✦ "I wanna try!" Exclaims the Polaris as she rushes over. Halloween wasn't her favorite holiday, but it was nice once a year to act evil and spooky when she was only ever the opposite. "I've never carved a pumpkin before." She meows, watching Icecap as he carved his own. She was intrigued by it. When he's all done, she lets out a little surprised gasp, "It looks so good! Me next!" She says, trying to reach into Icecap's cart to grab a pumpkin.

✦ ✧ ✦ After getting herself pierced by Video, it was a lot easier than she had thought. The ears were so fragile and thin on a young wildcat like her, it was almost effortless. Aphrodite couldn't imagine it being too hard on anyone else, but she would leave that up to Video. After all, she wasn't the one doing the piercing. "Come get your piercings or jewelry, everyone!" Aphrodite calls out as she has the piercing station set up for Video. She has a pile of salves and cotton balls, ready to use as needed. She didn't need anyone getting an infected piercing. As promised, Aphrodite also had clip ons and necklaces laid out. If someone wanted something else, they'd have to let her know so she could get it ordered from the Cartelians.

✦ ✧ ✦ "Coveners! You already know what time it is!" Aphrodite calls in a sing-songy voice, trotting down the stone-cold hallway. She bounces around back and forth until she gets to the meeting hall. She sits down beside the hall's crystal, beaming a confident and warm smile as she waits for her guests to filter in.

"Alright, let's start with our joiner for the week! Everyone give a warm welcome to LILLIAN? and be nice to her." Aphrodite says. Though she had quite the unusual joining, Aphrodite welcomed Lillian with open arms and warmth. She was sure that Lillian could make friends here, a new life for herself. Aphrodite was hopeful.

After a few passing moments, the Polaris tilts her head, "I would like ICECAP. to step up to sun jumper. However, ANNELIESE. , Hakumen and SUS GANG . . . are all receiving a small warning. I'd like to see you guys around a little more." Aphrodite says sternly. She didn't like giving out warnings or demotions, but she was disappointed with the lack of hustle and bustle. Aphrodite was to blame as well, and she wished there was someone to whip her into shape. "For the time being, OLWEN is also being demoted from her positions. Should she return, we'll privately discuss about getting them back." It was her fault. Once again, it was her fault. Aphrodite should be doing more, she was the Polaris, and yet she was as useful as a baby. "I would also like DEBIRU to earn the extragalactic title - Congratulations." She says with a softer tone. "If anyone is interested in becoming a Heavenly Apprentice, contact me or Debiru after the meeting." She announces with a small smile. There wouldn't be another child with a gift like Olwen, but Aphrodite needed to train someone in case something ever happened to her or Debiru.

"As far as events go, Icecap is making jack-o-lanterns and Debiru is giving out candy. After this meeting, we will also begin the piercing ceremony. If you guys travel to other places, you may notice that Clans have a unique trademark to their members. The Brigade has colored scarfs, for instance. In the Ruins, you might get branded with the mark of their god. That being said, I have decided that we will pierce our ears with these," Aphrodite says, holding up a see-through mesh bag. The bag contained a bunch of crystal studs that glimmered in the reflecting light. "These studs are made with the very crystals that are embedded in the walls of the cave. The Polaris will receive three piercings, the Vega will receive two, and everyone else will get one. Now, a few things: If you do not want to be pierced, that's okay! We also have clip ons or a necklace - Or if you need some other type of jewelry, we can make it out of the crystal custom made for you. The most important part of this is we all are wearing a part of the caves we live in as Coveners. Second: Being that I am a pacifist, I will not be piercing you. Instead, VIDEO will pierce you and Debiru and I will treat the piercing with aftercare. As demonstration and dedication to this new art for us, I would like VIDEO to come up and pierce my ears in front of you all." Aphrodite says with a bright smile. She drops her satchel, placing sterilized piercing material on a small quilt on the ground. She hoped that if they saw her getting her ears pierced, they would be less hesitant about getting theirs done. "Hm, but other than that, I'd like someone else to host weekly tasks this week. First come first serve."

✦ ✧ ✦ Ilya's way of socializing was unusual - It always had been. That didn't make Aphrodite like him any less. In fact, it made her more inclined to want to be his friend. She could tell that a friend was a foreign concept to him. At his comment, she sheepishly laughs, "Oh, what would I do without you?" She meows, praising him for his work. At his question, she looks over her shoulder. "I'm sure we can find something big enough for you. It hadn't occurred to me that you haven't had your own room."

✦ ✧ ✦ While Aphrodite would badmouth herself to hell and back, she couldn't stand to hear someone else talk about themselves in such poor manner. She attempts to jab Ivan with her soft paw, "Ivan! You're better than that!" She says sternly, holding a soft gaze on him. "That isn't true - You are worthy." She says quietly. "You can't change the past, but you can always change your future. You have done nothing but been a great help for the Coven, someone that I can rely on and appreciate. You may not value yourself, but I value you." Aphrodite meows, a warm smile forming on her maw. "What brought you to the Coven in the first place?"

✦ ✧ ✦ Aphrodite's icy eyes widen with surprise, her ears perking, "Oh, is that so? I was here about a month ago for my last meeting. . Sangria was still the queen at the time." She meows sheepishly, shuffling her paws, "Is Sangria okay?" She asks, tilting her head. She prayed that nothing bad happened to her former friend. "The Coven is doing better. The Ruins have been. . suspiciously quiet lately, though." She murmurs.

✦ ✧ ✦ Aphrodite perks her ears at Debiru's suggestion. It wasn't what she had initially thought of, but she wasn't opposed to it. The girl smiles, nodding her head, "I like that idea! Let's set up a medic meeting with our allies then." She says with a nod of her head, "Or we could just get to know the other medics, that would be nice too. I can go to the Solaris Kingdom and invite them."
