Russetfeather had felt Spiritbeam's weight get heavier. He blinked and glanced at Honeyshade, who had been looking at him. "We're almost there," he mewed. When they did make it to camp, he took Spiritbeam to the medicine cat den. With a sigh, he put her down. "Take care of her," he mewed as he left out of the den and sat outside, his head down.
Jetpaw went over to the apprentice's den when the warriors took Spiritbeam to the medicine cat den. "I've never seen a cat drown before," he whispered. "It's kind of scary."
Applepaw went to work on Spiritbeam. Her goal was to make sure that the warrior was comfortable. Second, she'd fix those broken bones. She had a long night ahead of her.
Tawnycloud finished scanning the border then headed back to camp. She found herself looking for Dustwind when she got back.
-
Aww Sparky. *hugs* I hope you find your muse.
Who else would make a good deputy?
-
ooc: Don't leave.
ic: Tawnycloud entered camp and fluffed out her fur. She was a bit tired, but that was okay. Giving a small purr, she laid down in a warm spot.
Applepaw quietly worked on making Spiritbeam would survive.
-
Applepaw looked at her sister. "Spiritbeam nearly drowned today and she's injured. I don't now what to do, well...I do, I just wish Lightheart was here to help me," she mewed. "I need to consult StarClan. Lightheart hasn't been around for a while and...." Applepaw shook her head. "I think I heard her move, two seconds." The apprentice stuck her head into the den. "Spiritbeam, are you awake?"
Jetpaw stayed in his spot. His fur nice and warm.
Tawnycloud looked at Dustwind. "Um, I just heard Spiritbeam got hurt in the forest," she mewed. "Oh Dustwind, what are we going to do?" She asked, laying her head against his shoulder.
-
Ooc: Welcome back!
ic: Applepaw smiled at her sister. "Thanks Wishpaw, you're the best." She then blinked. Her eyes wide when Spiritbeam spoke. "StarClan has sent a sign," she breath happily. Checking the she-cat to make sure she was still stable, Applepaw rushed out of her den. "Everyone," she called. "StarClan has a sent a prophecy through Spiritbeam."
Jetpaw looked at Applepaw. "What did they say," he asked with a flick of his tail as he got up and walked over to the cinnamon furred apprentice.
Russetfeather sat up straight. "Is Spiritbeam okay?" He asked.
Tawnycloud gave Dustwind a small lick on the cheek. "Thanks for standing by me," she mewed. She then looked at Applepaw as she spoke of a Prophecy. That was a relief, she just hoped it was good.
-
"I don't know," she told her sister. "Let me ask Lightheart since she's back." Applepaw was glad to see her mentor. Everyone was asking her about the prophecy, maybe she shouldn't have said it aloud, but it seemed like the first prophecy in forever. Hurrying over to Lightheart she came to a stop. "Welcome back," she mewed excitedly. "StarClan has sent a prophecy. They said, "As Blood falls, a new color will rise and save the clan from disaster." The yellowed apprentice looked at her mentor. "What does it mean?"
Tawnycloud looked to Lightheart as Applepaw told her the prophecy. Tawnycloud couldn't imagine interpreting signs and prophecies by StarClan. She admired the medicine cats.
"What's that supposed to mean," Jetpaw asked, his blue eyes glowing excitedly.
Russetfeather clawed at the ground silently.
-
Applepaw looked to Honeyshade. "StarClan sent a prophecy about a new leader," she purred. She dipped her head and then looked to Russetfeather. "Spiritbeam is fine," she mewed.
Russetfeather shuffled his paws when Applepaw finally answered his question. "Thanks," he mewed. The dark grey warrior got to his paws and walked away.
Tawnycloud flicked her ears. A new leader? "Thank StarClan," she mewed.
Jetpaw flicked his ears. "Cool," he mewed. He then trotted over to Luckypaw. "Hey," he called. "Want to go for a walk," he asked.
-
Applepaw's ears perked when she heard Spiritbeam. Looking into the den, she mewed, "One second, I'll get him." She then backed out of the den. "Russetfeather, she's awake and asking for you," she mewed before going back inside. "I'll get you some poppyseeds for the pain," she mewed to the downed warrior.
Russetfeather was heading to the other side of camp when he heard Applepaw call him. The tom turned around and headed into the medicine cat's den. "I'm glad to see you're okay," he mewed to Spiritbeam.
-
Applepaw nodded. "Lightheart's taking care of her now. StarClan said, "As Blood falls, a new color will rise and save the clan from disaster." The apprentice looked at the warrior. "What do you think it means," she asked. "Lightheart said it means we're getting a new leader, but who?"
Russetfeather looked to Spiritbeam. "No problem, I was just doing what any other warrior would have done." He then looked Lightheart. "Is she going to be okay?"
-
Tawnycloud looked at the two love birds. "Stay away from the water," warned them.
Russetfeather nodded to Lightheart. "Thanks," he mewed as he walked out of the den.
Jetpaw grinned and raced out of camp. "We will," he called back to Tawnycloud.
Applepaw shrugged. "I have no idea either," she mewed.
-
Applepaw watched Honeyshade go and then went into the medicine cat den and began to sort herbs. "Lightheart, did you find what you were looking for on your journey," the apprentice asked.
Jetpaw grinned. "No, you have to catch me before I slow down," he purred.
Tawnycloud picked up a pigeon from the fresh-kill pile. Despite the accident, it was a pretty normal day. Her tail tip twitching, the she-cat began to eat her meal happily.
Russetfeather looked around, his green eyes searching for something to do.
-
Applepaw peered at her mentor curiously. "Are you okay," she asked. "Why'd you stop speaking." She paused. "Oh, were you not supposed to say anything, I'm sorry," she mewed.
-
That caught Applepaw's attention. "Your kit?" The cinnamon furred she-cat's tail tip flicked. "You were a queen?" She glanced at Spiritbeam. "You're awake, do you need anything," she asked.
Russetfeather rubbed his paw against his ear casually. He wasn't doing anything aside from sitting around camp worrying about Spiritbeam.
Jetpaw slowed to a walking pace. His eyes bright as he looked to Luckypaw.
Tawnycloud had decided to clean out the dens even though it was an apprentice task.
-
Jetpaw looked at her curiously. "You okay?"
-
Applepaw nodded. "Will do," she mewed as she headed out to the freshkill pile. "Hey Visualkit," she mewed as she picked up a squirrel for Spiritbeam.
Jetpaw blinked. "You want to talk about it," he asked as he walked next to her.
-
Tawnycloud flicked her tail. Everyone seemed to be so down today. She shook her head. "Dustwind, can you help me gather a few moss balls please," she asked.
Applepaw brought Spiritbeam a squirrel. "Here you are ma'am."
Russetfeather watched Honeyshade leave camp, he wondered if she was okay.
Jetpaw gave Luckypaw a small lick on the cheek. "I hope you feel better," he mewed.
-
Russetfeather figured it'd be a good idea to go find Honeyshade since it was getting dark. No one should be alone this late at night. Following after her scent trail, he found her after a few moments of searching. "Honeyshade," he mewed to get her attention.
Jetpaw grinned and raced Luckypaw back to camp. "Never," he mewed. "I always win."
Tawnycloud went into each den and called for the cats of ShadeClan to gather in the center of camp. "We should watch the stars tonight," she mewed. "In honor of our ancestors and most of all, the stars are really nice out tonight."
-
The dark grey tom flicked his tail when Honeyshade looked so surprised. "That's the reason I came out here, it's late and no cat should be out alone this late," he mewed. He didn't understand why she'd come out here alone in the first place. It was dangerous. There were foxes lurking about and things of the sort.
-
Russetfeather didn't understand why she was on the defensive, but he wouldn't argue with her about it. "Sorry for bothering you," he mewed as he backed away. "I didn't mean to offend you." The green eyes warrior turned away from the she-cat and started back to camp. That's what I get for caring about others, he thought to himself. His tail dragging in the sand.
-
Jetpaw came to a stop in camp. His blue eyes looked to Luckypaw when she pointed out Iceypaw and Tawncloud. "Yeah, let's go," he mewed and headed over. "Hey, what's going on," he asked.
Tawnycloud smiled at the apprentice. "Mmhm," she agreed. She then looked to the two love bugs. "We're watching the stars tonight," she mewed.
