Mary had a Little Lamb is a cream tabby, holding the position of Head Doctor in the Tribe of Many Storms, her birth alliance. Due to being possessed by an evil spirit, her personality is constantly switching back and forth; what triggers these switches is currently unknown. Her first personality is agnostic religious-wise, while the second still strongly believes in two Gods: Frio and Quente.

[li]▶ Appearance: (WIP) A thick, solid cream coat covers the tiny build of Mary, though her pelt is thick so she appears a bit larger than she really is. The feline's tail is quite more than just an extension of the spine, having a gorgeous feathery and fluffy consistency, stripes evenly spread across the back. Legs, chest, and other areas of her body are splattered with white, veiling the cream stripes that hide beneath it. Her face is round and kind, cheeks as fluffy as her tail, with a set of large blue eyes. Mary always seems to have a distant and dreamy look on her face when alone, but always puts on a smile while around her Tribemates.[/li]

      [li]▶ Sexual orientation: Undecided[/li]
[li]▶ Religion: Agnostic - She believes that there may be "a greater power" somewhere, perhaps a God of sorts, but it isn't possible to validate if there is or if there isn't. Despite that, Mary wants others to believe in Cusun (ToMS's religion) but will not force religious opinions upon anyone.[/li]
[li]▶ Fears: Death, public humiliation, something happening to her friends/family, and making mistakes.[/li]

    advanced ↓

[li]▶ Personality: Mary's first side is soft and quiet, though tries to speak her mind as much as possible even though no one barely stops to listen. Mary finds that she often has to repeat herself until someone acknowledges her words; in a kind manner, of course, since she definitely isn't one to cause trouble.
She tries to act stronger than she is at times, especially when defending her family, but just a single insult directed towards her and Mary will practically burst into tears. She absolutely does not want anyone to see her cry, considering how embarrassing it is and how gregarious such a thing makes her seem to others. That being said, Mary is very concerned with her self-image and will try to fit in at almost any cost. The she-cat seems to have a little gift when it comes to communication with others; she always seems to know how they feel, what they think, how they will act. Perhaps this is just due to her nature as a healer, having to study others for a living.
A few of Mary's actions may have been formed due to her position; she, on top of being the Tribe's healer and prone to anxiety, is a bit afraid of germs, though this is something she will probably never admit. The thought of one little sneeze turning into a full-blown disease frightens her, seeing as she cares very much for everyone in her alliance.

Mary's second personality is practically a day-to-night comparison.

→ Likes: Herbs, helping others, friends, cloudy or rainy weather
→ Dislikes: Unnecessary fighting, hot temperatures, germs
→ Strengths: Intelligent, good memory, fast
→ Weaknesses: Small size, clumsy, low physical stamina[/li]

She finally arrived, of course, being both the Healer of her tribe and Piano's aunt. Her aunt. Gosh, that term made her feel old-- even though Mary herself was only around 11 moons-- and now she was someone's great aunt! That just made her feel even more mushy and wrinkled.

But she was there nonetheless, mushy and wrinkled or not, and let out a grunt of frustration when she realized it was too late. "I-I'm so sorry-- I should have been here sooner! I--" she whispered, blue eyes wide with a mix of surprise and frustration. The kits seemed to be healthy, though, and her niece had gotten through it well; stillborns were common, though she couldn't help but feel as if it was her fault they hadn't made it alive.

But that was before she took a look at the living kits, before Mary could truly appreciate the miracle of life. Momentarily forgetting her worries, the healer smiled to herself as she gazed upon the newborns. "They're beautiful."

Mary figured this was the perfect time to hold a training session for herbs, with all the new kits and young cats running about the tribe's new land. The healer took a deep breath and closed her blue eyes, unable to prevent a big smile appearing on her features-- but why would she prevent it, anyway? She had reason to be happy, with her alliance starting fresh once again, and with how calm and serene everything seemed.

New territory, new ranks... New Healers.

Yeah, that sounded about right. Hopefully, from this little gathering she planned to hold, there would be a few new Healer trainees. Of course, Mary still felt guilty about Yellow's demotion, but these would be trainees that she chose from her own hand-- er, paw-- and not her sister's. They would be her responsibility, and her decision on what to do with them. Though the thought placed a bulking responsibility on her own shoulders, it also relaxed her. Her eyes fluttered open before trotting out of her den happily once again. "Hey!" Mary called to whoever happened to be lurking around. She loved how much more comfortable she had become with her fellow Tribemates, and was certainly glad that the old and super-quiet Mary was gone, even if temporary. "Is anyone up for a little herb training session?"

ooc: Yup, one or two healer trainees will be chosen from this thread. ;D

ooc: I'm fine with the kits timeskipping if Lychee is. :) And this'll probably be up for a while-- it depends, but it'll probably be a few weeks or so? I'm not completely sure.

Just as she expected, several kits and young creatures quickly gathered, and Mary nodded to her niece and her sister as they arrived. She couldn't help but feel a bit nervous, holding a training session in front of her former mentor, but then again Showerkissed was her sister; she knew the tribe's new leader wasn't one to harshly judge on anyone's mistakes. It hadn't even been too long since Showerkissed had held her first training session, and Mary vividly remembered that she had been nervous, too, so that calmed her down a bit.

"Of course! You can all join in," the cream and white tabby purred. "While we wait for anyone else who wants to join, does anyone have any questions?" Mary added, ears perked and alert as she peered around the cluster of animals.

Mary turned to see one of Piano's kits-- that would be her great niece, then? -- piping up beside her to ask a question. She had to admit, she wasn't expecting personal questions, but of course she was going to answer anyway. "Well..." she began, hesitating slightly. At first the healer had no clue how to answer; her interest in herbs had pretty much appeared out of nowhere, and she hadn't thought about it much before.

"I guess Showerkissed got me into it, being a former Healer and all herself." Mary explained slowly. "But then my brother Tonight got into some trouble, and... Well, there was a lot of blood, and time was running out, but we helped him and all. So I guess that's where I decided what I wanted to do-- to heal others." Her tone grew a little solemn during her story, but she tried to keep things upbeat and ended with a subtle nod.

She turned to yet another one of her nieces-- boy, did Piano and Showerkissed have a big litters-- and she smiled and shook her head. "Oh, no! You're just in time," the healer assured Summer with a light purr. "We're just waiting on anyone else who wants to join in."

Mary glanced at Karelia, and she instantly felt guilty for making a kit so sad already. She seemed to be more sympathetic than anything, though, and it was nice to know even the youngest cats of her tribe had grasped an understanding of emotions already. "It's alright, I promise." the white and cream tabby replied with a soft nod. "Any more questions? Comments?" she asked, raising her voice slightly, as she was speaking to more of a crowd than one individual now. "We should start the session soon."

Mary had been exploring the new territory; being a healer, she would need to find out where the most abundant herb stocks were. They seemed to be dotted around the little huts in the village, some kept in little confined areas near a few of the buildings. It seemed Twolegs had liked to keep their herbs organized, as did Mary herself, and she nodded absentmindedly towards one of the little boxes before trotting onwards.

She was surprised to see a canine drinking out of one of the territory's many streams, and her blue eyes immediately grew wide with alert. Sea seemed to be aware of the stranger's presence, though, so she let out the breath she had been holding. "Hello," Mary greeted the Anatolian Shepherd with a small smile. "I hope I'm not interrupting or anything, but I'm guessing you're new here?"

The healer felt reminiscent of her own sister's kitting; this seemed almost exactly like that, actually, just with different cats and organisms around her. She seemed to dwell on that fact before snapping back to reality, head tilted to the side as she glanced towards Piano anxious. "Are you sure?" Mary popped in, adding to Summer's inquiry. "Do you want me to get you some water or anything...?" She didn't want to make her niece feel pressured by insisting on getting her something to help, but of course Mary didn't want her to need something and feel too much of a bother to ask.

It wasn't long until others arrived, all different shapes and sizes, and a snow leopard in particular with a very strange yet lovable personality. Mary bit her lip as Jester spoke again, and she just nodded with her eyes wide, not sure what to say and only managing a smile towards the cub. "I bet he does," she replied slowly and carefully.

Eager to get the session rolling, Mary nodded to the others. "Nope, just in time!" she purred.

"I can't find her, either," Mary put in quietly, her blue eyes widened with fear. The last time someone had gone missing, her brother Tonight almost bled to death on the old lake's shoreline; if they hadn't searched for Tonight, he would have been stone cold by the time they found him. There was no way she was going to put herself through that again; they had to find Piano, and stat.

A horrible feeling gnawed at the pit of her stomach. "We need to hurry and start looking." the healer said quickly, her words quickly said and smashed together. "Think-- did she tell anyone where she was going?"

"Yeah! Everyone's just going to learn some basic herbs for safety." Mary explained to another one of her great nephews. It felt like all of the adolescents running around her tribe were related to her, which in a way felt kind of weird, but she didn't mind. Relations wouldn't help anyone's chances when it came to her decision, though.

Blinking her blue eyes slowly, the healer reverted her attention to those who had gathered. "Okay, can someone tell me what this is? And its use?" She turned to pull a bundle of small and soft green leaves from behind her, a strong and pleasant scent drifting from them.

She was especially curious about the canine's headdress, but didn't ask about it; Mary considered other cultures to be quite beautiful, and this crafted piece of head wear was no exception. The cream and white tabby did return Jaci's smile, though.

"I'm Mary, the healer here. Welcome to the Tribe!" Mary purred happily, dipping her head to the newcomer. She didn't enjoy saying things like "you have my permission to join" and other phrases along those lines, seeing as she saw everyone of her alliance to be equals. "Do you have any questions?"

She nodded as decisions were made but stayed silent; Mary's expertise was herbs, not organizing patrols and whatnot. "I think I should come along," the cream and white tabby put in quietly. She wasn't trying to brag of course; she was the healer, and if anything did go wrong, Mary could help out rather than feeling useless.

Her stomach was still in those horrible knots and she could barely choke out her words. "I'll go with Sea and Bermuda." she added, heading downstream with the two.

She listened to each of the answers patiently. "Excellent job! It is indeed watermint, and is used to help the pain of bellyaches." Mary confirmed, grinning happily. The healer didn't know there were so many knowledgeable kits in the Tribe-- not that they were supposed to be brainless, but they already seemed to have a basic knowledge of herbs.

"This should be an easier one." Mary said as she returned the watermint to its place. She carefully put a simple leaf on the ground in front of her, though a leaf wouldn't be the object of study this time; a structure of hexagons rested carefully on the green platform, the clutter of shapes dripping with a sweet golden liquid. "Can anyone tell me its name and a few of its uses?"

"Yup, it's honey! And all of those uses are right; it can soothe throats and coughing, like you guys answered, but two less common uses are giving someone strength or helping swallow other herbs, as Nation pointed out." she said with a purr. Honey was more of the easier herbs to remember, so she wasn't surprised when the kits shot out their answers; some of them seemed quite timid, as Mary seemed to be when she was younger, and she hoped they'd crack out of that shell like she had.

She hesitated, trying to pick a good series of questions. "Does anyone know a few of the herbs you shouldn't use?" Mary asked curiously. It could have been a tricky question but she was confident that some of these kits knew.

"Good job," Mary murmured to the others with a purr. The little bundle of participating creatures had named all of the basic "no-no herbs," so she supposed she could move on. "And excellent point, Jester!" she added, nodding to the snow leopard cub. The healer couldn't help but feel a little bad for him, with the information she had pieced together about his father, but of course wouldn't show such a negative emotion, and instead veiled it with praise.

"Who knows where you can find cobwebs? And how do you use them?" she questioned next. Cobwebs were one of the easiest herbs-- not that they were even plants or anything--, right?
