Hearing Skypaw's yowl, Opticalillusion mew anxiously,"Stay here, keep yourself out oof trouble." Swimming strongly and quickly down to Where Skypaw was struggling to rescue a gem kit, she dove down, grabbed the kit's scruff and pulled her up.

"Come on, keep breathing, you'll be fine," Opticalillusion murmured to the kit she had draped over her shoulders like some absurd scarf. Reaching Unknownkit, she mewed," Hang on, I need to help this kit. " Looking back at Skypaw, she said," Could you help me? I need you to go up on land and help pull this kit out."

Hoisting the little kit part way out of the water, she wove herself around the tiny scrap of fur, and pulled her close. She then began to lick the kit's fur the wrong way to increase circulation.

Opticalillusion turned to help the other kit that appearently didn't know the slightest thing about swimming. It took her about fourteen heartbeats to get to the kit, and drag it up to Skypaw."Please lick him, like Unknownkit is doing." she smiled, and looked over the water until she was sure no cat was in danger just then.

Opticalillusion turned and mewed to her helpers,"You can go play now, if you want to," pulling both kits to her warm belly, she alternated in licking them.
