"Yes," Wolfgang nodded, trying to help Ferretpaw walked. Somewhere more private? It was pretty secluded behind the cottage, he would assume. His eye widened at Ferret's inquiry. Did he want them? He wasn't so sure. Was he ready? What if he was a bad father? He had so much on his mind already- he wasn't sure if he was up to this. He couldn't be an absent father, though. He couldn't leave Ferretpaw to raise them by himself when it was Wolfgang's fault they were in this mess in the first place. "Of course!" Wolfgang replied, giving Ferretpaw a smile despite his qualms. He hoped this worked out.

Wolfgang tried not to smile. He nodded at the other apprentice, remaining completely stoic. He found that sometimes amplified the humor of a joke. "Yeah, would you like to test them?" Wolfgang inquired, making a chomping motion with his jaws. Sunpaw, huh? It sounded cool enough. The sun was bright and fiery. Though, it got rather annoying. On a cloudless day, it glared into his eyes. He much preferred rainy days.

s orry for the delayed reply i'd love that! after saving chalk for the 50000th time he'd say "im just gonna let you get beat up from now on" but highkey he could never not be overprotective of his babies

Woah- it'd all happened so fast. His racing mind paused. Kits. His kits. It almost didn't feel real. His heart felt as if it were melting. His face had more emotion in it than it'd ever had. He stared at the kits in awe. They were so helpless and cute. This didn't feel real. These couldn't be related to him, could they? He snapped out of it and looked at Ferretpaw. "Are you okay?" Wolfgang asked, concern lacing his voice. His heart was still fluttering. He couldn't believe this. His kids. His babies. Their babies. "What do you want to name them?"

Wolfgang adored his new family. Still... was this what Ferretpaw wanted? Did he screw him over? Did childbirth embarrass him? Wolfie hoped Ferret didn't loath him for that night. Perhaps they should've taken it slower. But, then again, they wouldn't have brought these beauties into the world. Whenever Wolfgang looked at them, his stoic glare melted into a fawning and loving gaze. The sight of his little jewels melted his icy stare into a warm, watchful gaze. He loved them so so much. He wondered if his parents felt the same about him, whoever or wherever they were.

"Wolfgang". His name whispered through the trees and the leaves. Like the forest was calling him. But, no, it wasn't the forest. It was a stranger. Or maybe not a stranger- they knew his name. Perhaps Valley had returned to prank them or something. His gaze drifted towards Chalkkit, his fragile little flower, trying hard to wake up Ferretpaw. He glanced at her, giving Chalk a tiny smile. It'd be okay, there was nothing to worry about. Wolfie knew that to be a fact because he'd make it so. Lashing his furry tail behind him, the tom moved closer to the trees. "Who is there?" He asked sharply, though his tone was none louder than it usually was. Which was not very loud to begin with.

Wolfgang had his doubts. He had been so worried. He wondered why he'd been so worried about the little mistake he'd made. It led to these precious little babies. Wolfgang wasn't much for words, but he could rant for hours about his kids to anybody who could listen. A here were two of them now- his girls, god he loved them. Little tiny Chalkkit, who seemed so fragile and helpless but still so kind and sweet despite this. Then there was rambunctious little Rainkit, who surely would one day explore the world with the aide of her spirit and her confidence. Wolfgang moved towards the two and quietly sat down beside Chalkkit as he looked at Rainkit. "I hope these "big adventures" are taking place inside camp," Wolfgang said, giving Rainkit a lighthearted smile. There was no heckin' way he'd let her outside of camp without his watchful gaze. The world was dangerous. A weirdo with a bunch of scars could show up at the border at any moment.

Ah, and here was the third daughter. Surprisingly less talkative than the kit that struggled to talk. She seemed to take after her father in that aspect. Though, he was much more talkative around his kids, it seemed. They were good company. "Hello, tiny baby cats," Wolfie greeted as he approached. "Are you two doing okay?" One was so so fragile, and the other hardly spoke a whisper. Hopefully all was well with them.

Woah woah, he didn't like the idea of that. What if she fell and broke a leg? Or snapped a rib? Wolfgang's heavy feet moved heavily towards his daughters as they spoke. Hm, how would she get down? She was three moons old, and should've been able to climb up and down. What would they do when she was thirteen, or thirty moons old, and couldn't climb up and down trees? Wolfgang aimed to gently lift up Chalkkit and set her on the soil beside his feet. "I suppose we'll just have to teach you." Easier said than done, truly.

Wolfgang let out a little giggle at Adderkit's words. Honestly, he was probably right. As Adder spoke, though, Wolfgang had to wonder where he picked up such a peculiar accent. It wasn't bad, just odd. Would he grow out of it? Maybe he'd develop some other strange speaking mannerism. His attention was stolen by Chalkkit as the darling asked for a hug. "Certainly," Wolfie responded, hoping he didn't crush the poor thing with his weight as he aimed to wrap his arms around Chalk. Next to arrive was his precious boy, Frostkit, with all sorts of treasures in his little grasp. It made Wolfie proud, seeing his boy being a good big brother. His ears perked up at the lad's next statement. "Oh, well that's a relief." He didn't want to scare them, but he wanted to warn them about the hawks in their territory. They would surely swipe a child at any given opportunity. It worried him. As Rainkit assured him she hadn't left camp- or perhaps lied about not leaving camp- the tom gave her a little smile. What a rambunctious bunch.

Such interesting names. He made note of the name Perennial- a loner name, like his. He liked it. Such an interesting name. Frostkit, Puddlekit, and Rainkit all made him think of cold, rainy days near winter time. It wasn't quite snowing, or icy, but there was a chill in the air and you could see your breath whenever you spoke. He loved those names. Very atmospheric. He was definitely looking too far into it, but he thought they were neat names. Adderkit, he loved that name. The word rolled off the tongue nicely. Perhaps the boy would grow up to be as striking and cunning as the creature he was named after. And then the last one, little Chalkkit. What a strange name. Chalk was fairly brittle and broke easily. This child seemed as though she was struggling to even move. He bent over, aiming to move the fragile being closer to Ferretpaw's stomach. A much warmer place, where she'd have plenty of milk. He almost didn't hear what Ferretpaw said. He looked up at the other boy in surprise. Oh, such a relief. He was sure Ferretpaw would hate him, but it seemed this had brought them closer together than Wolfie had ever imagined. "Of course, Ferretpaw," Wolfgang's cold voice had an unusual amount of warmth. He felt like crying. His icy stature was warmed to the point of nearly melting all over these tiny, tiny little beings. And Ferretpaw- his mate. Gosh, he was so lucky. He wondered if he'd ever felt this happy before. Before he lost his memory. That didn't seem to really matter anymore. This was a new cat, a new Wolfgang, with his new mate and his new family. God, this was such a blessing. Wolfgang looked up at Valley as she spoke, full of congratulations and her usual quirky remarks. Though, she'd said something that struck him. She said Rainkit reminded her of the rain they watched together- well, the rain they ran for shelter in with Fadedghost. He gave his friend a smile. "Haha, yeah, I suppose you're right. Rainkit is a fitting name." Rain could sometimes be seen as a bad omen or a symbol of sad time and tragedy, but that was from a foolish point of view. Rain provided sustenance for life to thrive on, and kept the circle of life going. Without rain, the plants would wither and die, and the prey would have nothing to eat, and the clans would have nothing to eat, and they all would die. Needless to say, rain was important. Almost as important as his precious little girl. God, he was so proud.

Both of them addressed him with such eagerness. In a way you would greet an old friend. Unbeknownst to him, these were his little brothers. Wolfgang didn't have very much time to think of a response before he was under assault. As most creatures would when being presented with a sudden threat, Wolfgang instinctively retracted a bit. Though, once he had time to watch the boy that had "attacked" him. Surely, this was purely playful behavior. Perhaps this was part of his family? He glanced around in surprise as his current family dragged him out of his thoughts. His poor baby girl called out for somebody to save her father, his brave little son jumped into action, his other darling daughter stood on the sidelines in case her assistance was needed, and his boyfriend rushed towards the threat with swipes. It made him a bit happy, admittedly, that they cared enough to protect him. However, it seemed no protection was necessary. "Woah woah woah, calm down everyone," Wolfgang's soft voice rose a bit to be heard as he rose to his feet, his cold gaze meeting the slightly smaller cat's. Gosh, that face seemed so familiar. He tried very hard to remember something solid or tangible, but nothing came to mind. Only fuzzy bits that didn't fit to anything. Still, it was a start. "I, uhm, my apologies, you two. I've lost my memory a long time ago. Who are you two?" Hopefully they were not hurt that he couldn't remember them.
