at freckleface's mention of the fox, dovetail flinched, and visibly tensed. the tabby's hackles rose, and the fur on her back fluffed up. when she spoke, it was in a rough, gravely voice, much different from the one freckleface would remember. "i was with twolegs..." she mumbled, her thoughts an incoherent mess she didn't bother trying to make known. a jagged scar wrapping completely around her neck could assume the blame for her changed voice.
