[size=10][font=georgia]^ i just returned to the site after a few months of being gone, and i'm trying something different. i've always played nice (at least mostly nice/unintentionally rude) characters, so my question is; is it hard to get anywhere (development, relationship, etc wise) with a rude/intolerant/asshole-ish character?

[size=10][font=georgia]it all depends on how much time + muse you have for them. i only have one character atm. in the past, i've had multiple at a time, but i'd always end up focusing on and putting the most attention on one, so...

[size=10][font=georgia]i've been in windclan for a little while now (VERY little. as in, like, a week cx). the ooc community seems very nice and friendly, but ic, it can get kind of cliquey imo (i know a little bit of cliqueyness is good, but i think there's a little more than just a regular, healthy amount there). idk, maybe it's just me, bc it is pretty fast paced.

[size=10][font=georgia]looking at that guy's videos, he seems to have been rambling on about these things for years. i wouldn't worry too much. just seems like fear-mongering for views to me. he's probably one of those people who posted 'proof' that the world was going to end back in 2012.

[size=10][font=georgia]it might be something with your internet? if you can both verify that there's nothing wrong with your internet, then i'd try backing up your save files and uninstalling + reinstalling the game (although i've never had something like this happen on a console before)

[size=10][font=georgia]if you have an operation pass, doing the missions can net you a couple hundred xp each. also, i wouldn't recommend jumping into competitive as soon as you reach rank 3. it's a LOT different than casual (i learned that the hard way) and the stakes are a lot higher. (glad to see some other cs go players on this site, though :3)

[size=10][font=georgia]^ + i'd recommend watching TheWarOwl's videos on youtube. he's got some really nice tutorials on stuff for beginners. personally, i've made all of my money back that was spent on the pass from selling cases + extra drops from it, but i think it's a little too late to even break even (bc i bought the pass the day it came out).

[size=10][font=georgia]i could help you out with english, but i'm afraid the only other language i know at all is french, which, judging by your username, is not your native language, so i might not be the best person for it.

[size=10][font=georgia]cs go is definitely more complicated than it looks! cx it has a very large skill gap, unlike a lot of other casual shooters like cod (which i'm assuming you're coming from...?) it's a lot of fun, though, and don't get too discouraged! i have about 90 hours into it and i still haven't even thought of playing competitive yet. (and i could PM you guys my skype and steam if you want. i might be a little too shy to use my mic on skype at first (if that's what you mean), though, so sorry!) btw, a valve-sponsored competition (aka major) is coming up really soon, too. it's going to be streamed on twitch. while watching professional teams play isn't a very effective way to get better imo, it's really fun (go enVy!) cx

[size=10][font=georgia]that's the nature of online anonymity. some people will use anything to take a dig at you; gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, etc. CS: GO has a lot of toxic people like that who are ready to blame anyone but themselves for their team's shortcomings. the best thing to do is mute them/block them and move on, honestly. responding just adds fuel to their fire.
