    Icestar looked around at her Clan they were thriving but that wouldn't last much longer with leaf bare coming up.Icestar looked for her deputy but he was no where in sight.She sighed it was a beautiful morning yet she was so sad and she didn't know why so she went to her den and sat in the shadows.

    Icestar yawned she was exhausted so she decided a little nap wouldn't hurt.She fell asleep but quickly jumped awake when she heard her stomach growl.She realized that she was starving and saw only a small thrush."It's better than nothing"she said to herself and quickly ate the prey."Brookheart go on a hunting patrol and bring lots of fresh kill back we have no food left.With leaf bare coming up we will need all the fresh kill we can get"she said a worried look in her eyes.

    Sky looked out of her window and out into the forest.She had always wondered what was out there and if the Clan cats were real or just a story for kits."I want to find them"she said and jumped down from the window and went over to the door to let her twolegs know that she wanted to go outside.Her twolegs opened the door and she ran out into the garden.She jumped on the fence that had always kept her away from the forest.She looked back at her house before jumping down onto the forest side of the fence.Do I really want to leave my home? She said to herself.She shook her head and tore off her Kittypet collar the sign of no freedom.She ran into the forest forever leaving her old life behind.
