Turtlekit rushed into the medicine cat den. "SOMEBODY HELP!! ELECTROKIT IS INFECTED! iT'S LIKE NOTHING I'VE EVER SEEN BEFORE! HEEEELP!" She looked back at camp. All the cats could be turned into mindless killers or infected cannibals if the med cats wouldn't come quickly.

"He's in the nursery! He was eating freshkill and then he just started acting different and tried to kill everybody, and started to look weird! Well, weird would be much of an understatement. I think freshkill might be able to get infected!" Turtlekit panted. She yowled, "FOLLOW ME QUICK!" She rushed over to the nursery.

Turtlekit rushed into the nursery, and said, "Verticalpaw, Quick! Before he infects another kit!"

Ok, because i have some interesting news for them..

She looked around instead of getting out and said, "Throw a rock at him!" She gave him a rock as big as she could hold. Then she said, "I think freshkill might be able to get infected. He was infected right after eating a mouse!" She knew that getting out wouldn't help- it was the nursery. But the deputy was the deputy, so she rushed out.

Turtlekit rushed away from the nursery, but was afraid for her friends in there. What if when the deputy killed the kit, it fell on top of another kit? Or what if the infected kit touched the deputy? That thought made her shudder. The thought that disturbed her more was if freshkill COULD get infected. Or maybe the infection came from the freshkill? She was a very good thinker, and now she had something on her mind that could help all clans. And if she found out the cure to the disease, she might actually have a chance at being a medicine cat when she grew up! But first... freshkill. Maybe it came from certain freshkill, and that's what started the infection in the first place. Or was it just something freshkill could also get, without symptoms? It would be creepy if that were true, and the freshkill that her clanmates had IN THEIR MOUTHS could be poisoned with a uncurable infection, Then the clans were all doomed, with nothing they could do about it. But, The mouse Electrokit ate smelled pretty weird, and Electrokit had no sense of smell, so He might have eaten it without any sign that it had any chance of being infected

Turtlekit whipped her head back and crouched low, looking into the nursery. She let out a terrified gasp as Electrokit leaped, but nearly fainted in relief when he missed

Turtlekit saw what was happening and covered her eyes. Even though he was infected, she didn't want to want to watch her friend die in front of her eyes

She saw the rock hadn't impaled his brain and felt both relief and panic, but more panic than relief. her information would help the clan, if the deputy or her survived to tell the leader.

Turtlekit squealed and leaped into the nursery, and aimed to push the deputy out of the way. One touch, and the deputy would be infected. He would also be a lot harder to kill. She yowled at full volume to wake up Featherkit, "WAKEUPORHESGONNAKILLYOU!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Turtlekit yowled, "DON'T TOUCH HIM! REMEMBER, IT SPREADS BY TOUCH, NOT BITE!"

Turtlekit yowled, "Move, now, Featherkit!"

Turtlekit growled, "Stay away, Featherkit! AWAY FROM ME!" She crouched, backing away with her ears down and showing her teeth

"Sorry to burst your dreams, but you've been infected. Say goodbye to sanity. And don't touch anybody. The infection spreads by touch. Enjoy the last moments of life before you become a mangy brainless killer!", Turtlekit hissed, backing away more. In a matter of minutes this cat would turn into a mindless killer

Turtlekit decided to leave before Featherkit went mad too. But wait... It had only brushed her fur. What if that didn't count? What if it had to touch skin to really work? Hopefully it did, or this poor kit would have to be killed too just for being Electrokit's victim. Then she had another idea. What if they contained her in a separate den to find out more about the infection? Another idea that most kits wouldn't think up. She decided to stay here, and if Featherkit got infected then she could tell the deputy her plan

"Well, You MIGHT not turn into a savage killer. He only brushed his claws through your fur. Plus, I want to be a medicine cat, and THATS not likely to happen.", She said, thinking hard

Turtlekit bounded over. "Am I too late for herb training?", She asked

Turtlekit mewed, "Ok, good." She hustled into the group of kits and apprentices happily.

Turtlekit then realized what she said and said, "Um... I said that out loud, didn't I? Got to go, uh.... Herb training session!" Then she smacked her head and thought, Nice. Just go. She dashed off
