Willowpaw waited for her to pass her, then slowly crept up on her.
"FOX ATTACK!" She bellowed, pouncing on Sandpaw's back. She chewed gently on her ear. "Grrrr" she purred playfully.
Willowpaw waited for her to pass her, then slowly crept up on her.
"FOX ATTACK!" She bellowed, pouncing on Sandpaw's back. She chewed gently on her ear. "Grrrr" she purred playfully.
Willowpaw rolled off of Sandpaw, shaking dirt from her pelt. "I dunno. I say we try the creak near WindClan territory. There should be some vegetation blooming there, and that'll attract prey." She suddenly sneezed ferociously, then again, and again.
She shook her head furiously, then let out a small sneeze, "I tink I got a fedder up ma nose." She snorted, and a fluffy, white feather drifted away on the breeze. She glared at it, then broke out into a purr.
Willowpaw shook her head again, but did so as she was walking, and ended up walking face-first into a tree. "Oops." She blinked a couple of times, shook her head, and began walking again, more carefully this time. She was clumsy, if not lacking in common sense at times.
"Okay, now that my brain has finished being banged around, where shall we hunt?" Willowpaw looked around, through the trees, as if that could give her an answer.
(Does anyone have a boy that could be her future mate?)
(That's okay.)
"Let's have a competition! One group goes to the stream, and one into the center of the forest! Let's see who can catch the most!" Willowpaw bounced a little in excitement.
Willowpaw, a cream tabby she-cat with sea-green eyes, was stretched out on her belly, absorbing the rays of sunlight. She purred under her breath, "I'm so glad it's Newleaf... Leafbare was too cold!" She sank her claws into the sandy soil. "The only thing that could make this better would be a vole!"
"I'll go with... Aspenpaw, since it was his idea to go deep into the forest!" Willowpaw trotted up to the beginning of the trail, "Come on!" She peered through the ferns, sniffing, "I think I smell vole!"
Willowpaw purred. "Okay, we'll ALL go deep into the forest! It'll be fun!"
"Hi there! What's up?" Willowpaw stretched, then sat up, licking a paw and wiping her face.
Heading down the trail, not long after it left the clearing behind, Willowpaw noticed it forked off in two directions. "Hmmm." She looked back and forth, one was well-worn, while the other was nearly overgrown. "Which should we take?"
She licked her lips, "That's my favorite!" She purred, "I just love voles!"
"Really? Aw, thanks!" She rubbed her head against his. "You're nice!"
"Wanna share?" She asked, smiling at him. Her tail curled over her paws, then straightened out again.
"Okay!" Heading down the overgrown trail, she slowly pushed her way through the leaves, in the hunters crouch.
(How's this: they spot it, it takes off, they catch it, but end up lost, and meet a helpful ghost? LOL Random.)
A rabbit darted out from under a bush, heading deeper into the forest.
"After it!" Willowpaw ran after it, her legs a dusty blur.
Willowpaw topped a small hill, leaped down, and landed on the rabbit, killing it quickly. Sitting up proudly, she looked around. Sudden realization dawned on her.
"Where the heck am I?"
She had run after the rabbit quite a long way before finally catching it, and the path, and her friends, were nowhere to be seen.
Bending down, she chewed at the meat, their muzzles so close they almost touch. For some reason, she feels her ears turn hot, as if she's embarrassed, but not the same. She's done this kind of thing before, why was it suddenly so different?
Gathering a pigeon and a squirrel, and two mice that almost ran into her paws, Willowpaw tried to track her scent her back, but she was in a grove of smelly bushes with large, stinky blooms. It was like trying to track rain clouds by their scent! "Ugh... I'm lost!" She felt the first twinge of panic in her belly. "Where's the path? How did I GET here?"
A flicker of movement at the edge of her vision made her spin around, her heart pounding. It was red as blood, like some snakes she'd heard about. Was she gonna be killed here, never to be seen again?
Her tail was twitching left and right, and at one point it brushed against Hawkpaw's. She nearly jumped, but tried to be cool about, and scooted her tail a little away.
