Trying to look behind him, he saw Wildpaw; thank Starclan. She was still in his sights. As he turned around, a huge pine tree was coming their way. He didn't know rather to dodge it and stay in the snow and risk that, or go to it and risk a banging from the impact. He braced himself again and slammed into the trunk, knocking the wind out of him. He waited for Wildpaw to slam into him, not happy about it but at least they wouldn't drown in the snow.

Kestrelspeckle kept hopping back like cats do as the creature tried to strike, hissing and spitting at the wolverine who was throwing un-intimidating threats at them. What was intimidating though was his smell. It amused Kestrelspeckle further. He made sure to be careful though, as the wolverine could start chasing after him.

Kestrelspeckle shrugged, swiping a paw over his tongue and smoothing a tuft of fur on his forehead. He was usually out often, so his presence wasn't quite known to some of the new felines at camp or felines in Snowclan in general. It was a big and bustling clan, anyways.

"I've been here for a few moons. I'm usually out hunting, walking, or just with my friends. I haven't seen you much either, my friend. When did you join, stranger?" Kestrelspeckle laughed, looking at the unfamiliar tom with curiosity.

Kestrelspeckle merely followed behind them, annoyed at both their bond with a kit that wasn't even alive in the first place and annoyed of that filthy wolverine. What a waste of time. He rolled his eyes at the thought, thankful that they didn't have eyes behind their head. With his ears slightly to his head and his tail's tip flicking, he padded on. Noticing the snap in Russetcloud's voice, Kestrelspeckle wanted to shrug and give her an apologetic glance, but with her being blind, he couldn't. And he knew if he would say something witty, he would get a snap too.

As Violeteyes also chimed in painfully but vaguely, Kestrelspeckle stopped at the feline momentarily.

"My apologies. They've had a rough time. Just don't ask, not right now." he mumbled quietly to Mistletoe.

"Nice to meet'cha, Silverstone. So, what have you both been up too?" Kestrelspeckle asked them, hoping they had more interesting and less dramatic lives then what he or others he knew had. Not pointing paws or anything, but he knew some drama cats. Sighing to himself mentally, he continued to converse with the two felines with interest.

As the last roll of snow went by, the depth of the snow tripled. He let out a big sigh as it stopped, and considered going to sleep. He was cold and tired. So that meant he shouldn't sleep. Plus, he had an apprentice with him. He was tired, but he was fine. "It's gone. Let's walk back to camp. Thank Starclan you're alright, that we're alright." he murmured with a little smile, trying to stand. His legs failed under him, and he lay back down. "Keep me awake, Wildpaw." he mumbled, blinking.

Kestrelspeckle stayed sitting down, letting them walk by themselves together. "You guys can go ahead. I'm no longer needed." he meowed in a casual tone, laying down in the snow with a huff. He was sick and tired, and honestly could've fallen asleep in the snow. It was a long day. And there was probably even longer days ahead of him. "Oh, how great. Can't wait." he thought to himself, exhaling as he shut his eyes, staring at nothing in particular. Just resting.

"I got this." Kestrelspeckle groaned, pushing himself up. His ribs where he rammed into the tree hurt by a considerable amount. It seemed he had broken some bones, and he had to lean on Wildpaw a bit. He was a heavy cat, however, so he tried to get on as best as he could. "Ugh, you're gonna' have to help me here." Kestrelspeckle grumbled quietly, not wanting to give up his pride.

IC; Kestrelspeckle closed his eyes with another inward sigh. "That's too bad. There's been too many deaths lately. Everybody just needs to calm down." he grumbled, trying not to take too hard of breaths. ever since his side was rammed against a tree this morning, he had been in considerable pain. And with Snowclan being, well, cold, there really wasn't many herbs except old Lamb's Ear. He'd been awake only from the energy it gave him.

"Let's change the topic, shall we?" he laughed lightly, looking at a pine tree absentmindedly.

IC; Kestrelspeckle looked up at the sky, seeing what time it was due to the sun's position; time for him to head out. Head out for quite a long time, he'd decided, as he sighed inwardly. "Hey, it was an honor meeting you two." he meowed in a solemn tone, dipping his head to both of them. Nobody knew he planned to leave, and he prepared to keep it that way. But he couldn't help but be sullen, for he had made a lot of friends and an apprentice, but he had to go. Too much drama to be a dedicated member of any clan. He was a drifter. Kestrelspeckle knew it.

"But I must be going now. I have...business to attend to." Kestrelspeckle lied with a sheepish smile.
