Amani was still a little annoyed with Zakia, but she knew he wasn't much of a hunter and decided to take it easy on him. She backed up slowly to his side. She smiled at him, "Okay, do you see those antelope over there? We need to get one of those. Do you think you can help me or do you just want to scare them?" She whispered, but had a kind tone to her voice. She liked Zakia and she didn't want to start an unnecessary fight.

Oh snap!!
-
Yeah that was happening. And then I accidentally missed a reply and got busy with real life. Haven't been on in a while. Do people still want to play?
-
Amani jumped with a slight bit of fright as the lion called her name. She turned around swiftly and was about to yell at him again, when she saw the storm clouds approaching. Fear pricked along her back; Amani hated storms and feared more than most other things. She set her blue eyes on Zakia and noticed he was a bit on edge, "Wh-what's wrong Zakia?" The lioness didn't know why the lean male wanted to return home, but she figured it was not for the same reason she wanted to. Her thoughts were far from hunting now and all Amani wanted to do was get home to Pride Rock and stay deep in the cave and far from the rain. However, her fear wasn't known to anyone in the Pride and she didn't want to come off as weak, so she tried hard to hide it, but it was no use.
-
Amani quickly followed Zakia. His pace, however, was rather slow and her fear ebbed at her muscles to move faster. She began to move faster until she was running. Not sprinting, but still moving very fast. All the pale lioness wanted to do was get home and be safe inside Pride Rock. However, the close she got, and with the help of the pending rain thickening the air, Amani picked up the scent she thought she'd never smell again. She stopped fast and looked around to try and find the source of the scent. Pride Rock wasn't far away and she could see the other lions running down the rocks and away from home. That male must be in our territory! Oh no! We led him here! The frightened lion turned her head towards her male companion, "Zakia!"
-
Everything seemed to happen so fast but in slow motion all at the same time. The clash of the two Prides was like waves smashing into each other. So many were fighting. So many were getting hurt. Amani could only stand there and watch as her heart beat in her ears. Her deep blue eyes looked around at all the fights. From Juda and his father to Tamlia and the hyenas; she saw it all. Then, it all shifted and soon Tamlia was being attacked by the dark terrifying male that had found Azula and Amani just the other day. Juda was quick to aid her and soon the father and son were locked in battle again. But, just as everything had sped up in the heat of the battle, it slowed again as her pale lionesses eyes filled with big sorrowful tears as she watched Juda be killed. Her stomach dropped and it felt like she had been kicked hard in her stomach. She looked to Zakia and then back to Juda, "No!" She screamed in pain and disbelief. As the fallen King's father stood where Juda once stood, Amani's pain turned to pure hatred as she felt her lean body fill with rage. Her King had been like a father to her since she had lost her own family when she was so small. She had respected him and was loyal to him since she had met the majestic golden lion. As a bolt of lighting cracked in the distance, Amani roared loudly as everything around her came rushing back to full speed. The enraged lioness took off towards the fight and was set on fighting the first thing she saw.
-
Amani outstretched her claws and hooked the face of a hyena just before it could reach the steps to Pride Rock. She flung the beast away from the stones and then pounced on it, letting her weight keep the creature pinned down. Slashing and clawing at the creatures face was all she could do. After awhile, the hyena didn't move anymore, but Amani was taking all her anger and pain out on the creature. Finally though, she realized she had one the fight and backed off. The pale lioness looked down at her blood soaked paws as she heaved heavy breaths to try and calm down. Her blue eyes fell on Zakia and Juda, but she could hear sounds coming from up in the cave on Pride Rock. She knew Azula and her cubs would be up there. Amani raced up the steps and burst into the den, "Azula! Are you alright? Are the cubs alright?"
-
Amani nodded, "You'll need to be careful though. They are still fighting out there." She followed close behind Azula and made sure to watch out for any attackers. Once outside of the cave, the lightly colored lioness shielded Azula and her cub from anyone or anything that might attack. Once close to where they needed to be, Amani hung back to make sure they weren't followed. Just then, a painful searing feeling ripped from her right shoulder through her body. Her deep blue eyes shifted to see what it was. Another hyena! She tried to use her left arm to bat at it, but she couldn't get close enough. Another heavy weight jumped onto her back side and bit down on her hind leg. Oh come on! Amani roared with pain and anger as she swung around to try and dislodge both attackers. This was too close to where the cubs were. The now lightly bloody female decided she'd better try her hardest to get out of here for fear that the more would come and attack the cubs. Pale yellow and dark gray mixed together as Amani rushed away. She tried to make it to a safer way to get down, but missteped and lost her footing. She and the hyenas fell a bit of a distance down to the ground. Everyone landed with a loud thud that knocked the wind out of the lioness for a bit. When she was finally able to breath properly again, a hyena slammed it's paw with outstretched claws down along the right side of her head just above her eye. Blood oozed from the wound and she growled with anger. Getting to her paws, she readied herself to attack the two disgusting creatures.
-
The fight was over now. The attacking hyenas that had been fighting Amani took off. She spat after them as she limped over to where most of her Pride was. The mood in the area was a sad somber one and she too hung her head in sadness. When her sorrowful eyes fell on Zakia, she limped over to him, "Zakia! I'm so glad you're alright!" She pushed her head under his chin and nuzzled him. Thank goodness he was alright. The thought of losing Zakia along with Juda and Tamlia was too much to bear and the pale lioness quickly pushed the thought away. Amani wanted to comfort him and also to be comforted as well.
-
Amani rested a paw on the male's and pressed herself close to him, "I'm sorry about Juda. It's going to be really hard on everyone, but I'm here for you." She whispered in his hear before licking his cheek. She was sad too, but now mostly was feeling bad for Zakia.

I think you should just edit this one. You've already got it all here. Don't you think it would be easier to edit what you already have??
-
Okay plot ideas.
1) Long horrible drought kills off most of the prey and causes the lions to go hungry. Maybe even have to travel far away for food.
2) A strange sickness from the dead hyenas makes the lions sick and is perhaps deadly??
3) Flood.
4) The knew King struggles with his position and makes some bad calls, causing some of the lions to doubt his judgement and his leadership skills. This goes on for awhile and there seems to be no fix and everyone is fighting among themselves. Then, something major happens and the new king is guided in the right choices and everything works out.
5) Hyenas move in closer and start to take prey away from the lions.
6) A challenger comes and tried to take over the Pride. Not like the last time though. Just one rough who wants his own Pride.
Uh....I think that's all I've got for now.

They need to be mates? Why is that?
-
Oh also Song, can my new character come in like a day or two after the battle so everything is kind of settle down a bit?
-
The battle is over. Juda and Tamlia are dead. Tufo is also dead. Some lions are injured. But now everything is just calming down.
-
Amani had followed Zakia up to the top shortly after he left. But when he made his speech, she stayed behind to watch and listen. Her heart ached for her loss as well as the Pride's but mainly for Zakia. He seemed to be taking it the hardest. But he was also a bit of a stern lion and the pale female guessed he wouldn't confide in her much. She sighed as sad thoughts trickled through her mind. Rising to her paws, Amani left one last look at the lean male before entering the den to speak to Azula and see how she was. "Azula? How are you? How are the cubs?"
-
Amani frowned and moved closer to the little cub and her friend, "Perhaps you shouldn't leave then. Just stay here and let use handle things. I can bring you something to eat. Zakia.....Zakia and I were out hunting before the battle happened. We didn't catch anything though." The pale lioness sat down and glanced outside for only a moment and then returned her deep blue eyes to Azula, "I hope the fighting didn't scare the prey away."
-
Amani nodded her head and faked a smile, "Well um, I-I can stay if you'd like. You can go catch some prey or something. I won't leave." The idea of staying with the small tiny lions scared her, but she wanted her friend to get out of the den and not be so cooped up. Plus they were just cubs. How hard could it be to watch them for a bit?
-
Nodding, the pale lioness moved closer to her friend and laid down. She sighed again and rested her head on her paws, keeping her back to the cave entrance. She closed her eyes, but didn't intend on sleeping.

Oh hey Song, I just want to post what my new lion will look like. I think once everyone goes to sleep and it's the next day, I'll introduce him. :)
