IC: Rose sat in her dorm, bored. The school day had gone by in a blur. It was already past midnight, but for some reason, she couldn't go to sleep. Was she just hearing things? She turned and looked out her window, but all she saw were the woods. Everything was still, so why did she keep hearing snarling and possibly a person?

Rose closed her eyes and covered her ears, trying to ignore whatever the heck she was hearing. Why did her fox ears usually choose to come out at the worst times?! She didn't want to hear whatever the heck was happening! It wasn't even her problem anyway...

Mudkip watched the trainers call back their Pokemon. So it's a tie? he thought with disappointment before he turned to look at the other Pokemon beside him. "Hey," he said to Trey, "can you teach me how to use water gun now?"

Rose covered her ears for a couple of seconds more before she finally pulled her hands away. Is it done? she wondered, her red ears twitching.

Mudkip looked at Trey expectantly for an answer. Then he turned to Razor. "Can that Swampert teach me too?" he asked.

Rose heard Roxanne's words clearly with her increased hearing. So it was a fight... she thought. I wonder what happened...

Mudkip looked at Swampert with unmasked awe. "Can you teach me how to use water gun?" he asked, his voice trembling a little. Swampert was way out of his league... Mudkip looked at Trey excitedly. "Really? What do I do first?"

In her peripheral vision, Rose noticed something blue glowing from outside of the window. She quickly looked outside and saw that the glow was coming from the woods. What the hell... she thought, wondering if she should check it out or not.

OOC: It's not really a Pokemon battle between two trainers... Mudkip wants to learn how to properly use water gun and Abby called out her Swampert to help.

Rose blinked in confusion when she saw the light grow fainter and fainter. Was it getting farther away or was it just dimming because it lost power?

Mudkip nodded, collecting as much water in his mouth as he could so that his cheeks puffed out with water.

IC: Mudkip nodded, doing as he was told. He fired as hard as he could, and it worked for a couple of seconds. Water shot out of his mouth before it died down and bubbles came out instead. "I almost had it!" he mumbled. Mudkip turned around in surprise when he saw the ultra ball. "A trainer...?" he asked himself, looking at the ball.
