"Hello, Gloire," Artisticpaw meowed, and gave a quick smile in response to Phantomkit. "I'm very happy to be back, and get back to duties."

Artisticpaw padded throughout the camp silently, eyes and ears open for the swagmaster. The cinnamon apprentice hoped to talk to Alphadog about the Halloween event he had organized.
-
She dipped her head in greeting to the bat, feeling that he'd soon become good friends with Gloire if given the chance to. "Welcome, Capella," she said. "As you may have heard, I'm Artisticpaw."
-
Amber eyes carefully observing the other animals' decisions, the apprentice thought in silence. Her and her Clanmates' choices, especially the ones for who to demote from the deputy position, could easily affect ShadowClan's future. Artisticpaw padded up and nudged two rocks over to the Swagmaster baskets. She threw one into Alison's; she hadn't seen her even once for a long while. The second went into Gloire's, for she felt a few of the others were a bit more active. As for the deputies, the cinnamon she-cat, almost without thought, placed a stone into Realmwright's.
-
Letting out a faint sigh of relief, Artisticpaw looked into the baskets. It was obvious now who needed to step up their game - and fast. She was just glad she didn't need to see any more of her Clanmates get demoted. Not yet, anyways.
-
"I'd be willing to, if they don't mind," Artisticpaw said, looking from the newcomers to the deputy and swagmasters.
-
"All right, great." For some reason she had still not adjusted to knowing that her nephew was older than her; it was still a bit strange to her, but with a bit of surfing of her complex family line, it made sense.
ooc; Scene and Rushy, private thread?

"Uh... Hello, Alphadog," Art greeted with a dip of her head. "I was hoping to try out to be one of the Scarries in your Halloween event, if this is an appropriate time to do so."

2) something intended to divert attention from the real problem or matter at hand; a misleading clue
hopefully, you all gained a new vocabulary word to iron into your brains by now, but this meeting was purely for the goal to tell which Swagmasters or deputies to step up their activity around the Clan. A harsher warning too to them, following the nicer reminder that Realmwright gave but no one followed
ic: Seemed like Madness was the first to catch on, so she looked around with a small smile. He was sharp, that was for one of many of his slightly slower Clanmates. "Seeing as you have all put down your pebbles, I guess I might as well tell you that I was not intending to demote anyone. Look around and see how many pebbles are in your basket, and if there is even one than you should DEFINITELY step up your game. This meeting and voting was meant to be a harsher reminder that you should be more active. It also gave me some ideas for promotions. . . but that will all be done in the next meeting. See you all then," the golden tiger nodded curtly, going away. Hopefully that gave some of the Swagmasters and deputies a scare, since they knew how much they needed to improve now. Seeing as Halloween was coming up, her roleplayer thought it'd be fun to give a scare so why not.

She turned to look at them both. Well, this was unexpected. It was like . . . her and Nineteenseventy being mates. Sure, Artisticpaw loved him, but in the brother-sister kind of way. All the cinnamon she-cat did was nod to Askingalexandria and Mortalpaw and smile; this didn't bother her. As long as they were happy.
-
"Hey, Rufus," came the pretty voice of the she-cat. Padding through the brush to get to the Swagmaster, Artisticpaw watched her steps, not wanting to place a paw on a thorn again. Oh, she'd been through that once; And once was by far enough for her.
-
Yet another new cat came into her sight. It was nice to see ShadowClan growing at an acceptable pace once more. "Hello, Waterfallsplash," she meowed, overhearing the silver feline's name as she walked over. She was surprised that glass shards still laid around, after their several moons of being there. "Pleasure to meet you. I'm Artisticpaw."
-
"Nice!" The feline added a smile and a purr. She remembered how accomplished she used to feel after making a catch. Now, it was about as special to her as waking up in the morning. Well, she was glad she could wake up, but Art had no worries of not.
-
A smile spread across her maw. "So, you're enjoying the Clan, it seems?" she asked calmly.
-
She'd figured he'd ask a question like this. She had her answer ready in case he did since he announced the try-outs. The she-cat took a quick breath before launching in to her explanation. "As you may know, the key to giving someone a good fright is all based on the element of surprise. For example, you can't scare someone if they know it's coming, right? To know who is not expecting it, you have to be good at figuring out someone's emotions. I've been reading others' emotions since I was a kit, by watching the way they move - like the way their ears are pricked. Mainly, though, looking into their eyes. Eyes are like a passage to one's feelings, in my book. So, by simply looking at someone's face and eyes, I can tell if they are unaware of what could occur out of nowhere, and hopefully catch them off guard," Artisticpaw said. Well, that was a start. What else could she say? "Oh, and I've been told I am quite innovative and creative - I think that's what my name refers to - so if you allow this, maybe late at night, a bit past sunset maybe, I can gather up some kits, apprentices, maybe even a few warriors, and make up some scary stories to tell. Or maybe, it can be a side event all the Scarries can participate in. Like, each one takes turns telling stories, or work as a team and tell stories together. But not too spooky. I wouldn't want to keep the kits up at night. I really don't think anyone would."
