nah dude psychology is awesome! i'm going to college for it! nothing wrong with liking it. i gotta recommend kati morton on youtube. she's a therapist who makes videos explaining psychological disorders, how to deal with them, what it's like to have them, etc. She's super cool and sweet!!

That's unfortunate. There's lots of great books out there about psychopathy, too. The wildest thing abt it is that a lot of people who have it end up becoming CEO's and the like. Guess that lack of empathy makes it easier to climb the work ladder??

((love these new characters. big fan of orcs and catpeople. may or may not make some cat puns later, as long as it doesn't offend chance))

Nymeria nods at the other elf's questioning. Now, she notices the shorter ears, and a few small pieces begin clicking into place. A half-elf, then. She had a few in her family - all cousins from her mother's side. "Yeah, sort of like that. We travel the forests and trade with townsfolk. We've probably been to your village a few times," she chuckles. "Fate is funny like that. I assume you've no intent to stay in your village?" She eyes the dragon egg again. She examines the burrow for a short moment, nodding to herself. "I think you might be right. I am far from an expert, but I can at least tell when a wild animal has been gone for a while."

When the orc stumbles upon them, Nymeria offers a weary smile. The only orcs she had ever seen were from a great distance, and truthfully she was short even for elf standards. She feels a little intimidated, though that quickly melts away when he speaks. His tone was almost endearingly shy. "I don't mind if you don't?" She fishes around in her pocket for a moment before pulling out a shiny piece of flint. "Do you think the whole bloody burrow will engulf in flames if I try and warm us up?"

Oh, I feel that. I didn't know what the flip was wrong with me!! at least i wasn't the type to hurt others, i just found social interactions super difficult since I didn't really understand things that would upset people. I got diagnosed with it and a depressive disorder, so finding the right meds was hard...

Definitely seek professional help!! Just remember the right medication / form of therapy takes time to find, and it's ok to admit when it doesn't work for you. It's super helpful for both you and the doctor(s) who are trying to help you and even when it gets super frustrating and u wanna stop it all just remember that you will find the right treatment and ur life is gonna improve so much u won't even believe ur the same person. it's bonkers to compare myself from then to now!

Nymeria grins at the half-elf. "Adventuring, then? I can't say I don't share the same longing. Traveling is fun and all, but when it's with your family and you're expected to become part of the 'family business' it all gets rather tedious." She pauses as she grabs a bit of kindling from around the burrow, carefully setting aside her egg as she continues, "But I wouldn't mind company. It's dangerous in the Wilds, even with a dragon. I can teach you all you need to know." She'd been setting up the caravans with her family since she could walk; though she'd taken little with her out on this foolish adventure. She was, truthfully, woefully unprepared but the challenge was exciting to her. She had her bow and her dragon, and really that's all she needed to survive.

The fire begins to flicker to life once she sets it by the entrance. The smoke would drift out, and hopefully keep those with ill-intent away as well as prevent their lungs from stinging. It warms the burrow quickly, and once it's at a decent blaze Nymeria returns to her dragon egg. She looks at the Orc again. "Well met. I am Nymeria, and these are certainly not bird eggs."

    ((In case y'all can't tell, she's too confident. she'll learn though. ))
