Kyle glanced up as the other guy sat in front of him. Small talk it was then? He pulled the package on his cheeseburger open nodding as the other introduced himself. Taking Edwin's hand when it was offered, "[b]Nice to, uh, meet you." He let go of Edwin's hand before taking a bite of his burger, "I'm Kyle." Were last names a thing everyone was doing now? "Park. Kyle Park." The shouting from behind them intensified for a second before calming down again. Damn, those guys never knew how to chill out, Kyle felt a little frustrated spark.

"The weather's been nicer." he shot back to "Eddie", looking for a distraction from the jocks. With December months brought snow, bad conditions for his bike. He'd have to remember to bundle up twice as much tomorrow, his ears still kinda stung from the ride to school this morning. The table behind suddenly shuttered and screeched, about five kids swinging their backpacks on and leaving. Good. Less noise to tune out.

[align=left][size=8]someone wanted a bit more on the plot and how things work so i'm just gonna leave it here!
-the eight teens more or less meet together, mostly by chance and see some freaky stuff going down
-being you know, teens they probably check it out (cue going to the mines/ghost town which each have their own story)
- ^that being said, it is totally possible we end up getting the wrong guy or not seeing any ghosts, depending on what you notice and don't and it changes the story :3
-when i said its possible for your character to get taken, i'm not gonna do it out of no where, if you think u wanna get in on that action we can plan that out for later over pm 100%
-lots of time skips! mostly during classes/nights/actions that take a lot of time with nothing to do, if you have something you wanna do in one of those times just let me know!
-on the subject of avid citizens against the straight white norm, the town does have a church of regular attendees, if you're character decides to romance another in the middle of the street some pta mom might notice. depends on how sneaky you decide to be ;)
-i'm 100% alright with changing the story or plot points! be creative! bounce a bunch of ideas around it's all good!

Kyle hid a snort behind his palm poking his spork in his cup of mixed fruits. "[b]The food last year was worse. All the milk was [i]solid." And if by miracle you could find an actual liquid carton, it was curdled. He had no idea how he hadn't gotten food poisoning after all these years of growing up here. Ugh.

He glanced down the table noting the two new additions, they looked like those kids from Italy everyone had been talking about for a while. The cheerleaders especially for a solid week, going on about how "exotic" they must be. Which probably sucked. He remembered when he got his bike, a couple kids marked him down for the rumor mill too. Did you hear? Kyle Park got a bike, his parents must be rich or Park got into a fight the other day, he's a troublemaker. Attention wasn't his forte, especially the bad kind. And the fight wasn't even his fault, the guy had broke his bike's headlight what was he supposed to do?

This town sucked, in more ways than one. He grabbed another bite out of his disturbingly kinda crunchy burger. "Yeah, this stuff is pretty gross," he turned back to Edwin, "I hear the staff orders pizza from the bowling alley for lunch." And damn, did pizza sound good. Especially bowling alley pizza, the guy who ran it always made it fresh. He could probably put Domino's out of business with his bread sticks alone.

Tay stood near the weight rack sweat towel thrown over their shoulder. All this exercise stuff wasn't really their jam, but neither was getting in trouble with the people who had needles. They dabbed the towel over their brow, giving Aspen a low whistle. Tay could only dead lift around a 130-140? pounds, never mind doing that with their mind, that's whole nother' muscle all together.

In their opinion, Tay should be training his [i]mind. But Mr.Callwhatever and his happy band of scientists and doctors with whatever PHD's decided physical training was more beneficial. Kinda bull, considering their powers rely pretty much only on their mind. Generating a force field? Brain. Materializing something out of thing air? Brain. And sure endurance was a thing, but doing those two things were all they had. Maybe they could make like a tree and dip out of here.

Wouldn't be nice to the other horsemen though. Tay kinda cared about of couple of them too, they guessed. The horsemen were all dorks.

Sure, training every single day got on a person's nerves eventually, but maybe the rules were different when applied to a war spirit. Tay glanced over to the boxing gloves sitting all pretty near the dummies. "We could spar if you're feeling it?" They weren't the best fighter, but they could put up a fight for a bit. On a good day. Maybe.

He sipped his lemonade reading the chalk board in the front of the room. Didn't say much other than find a seat before the class started at 8:00. A little early if you asked him.

Tay grunted forcing themself to lean back out of Haruex's jab. Man they needed to work on flexibility, especially if they were going to be fighting speedy opponents. "[b]I think you got it covered weapons or not." they huffed back, dipping down to protect their midsection a little better. Tay could probably create a weapon or two easy, or if they wanted to win the spar just bubble themself in a force field as long as it could hold. That's kinda cheating though, unfortunately.

Taking a breath they leaned forward, going in a potshot on Haruex's shoulder. Punching people is little harder if you got a dead arm for a little.
