    "It wasn't my fault. She started it." I said, my eyes rolling back in my head. I leaned back in my chair as I sat there in the principle's office. "I don't care who started it, Miss Burke. We do not allow violence in our school. And I won't tolerate it." grumbled Mr. Miller, my principle. He babbled on about self respect and discipline-or some bullshit like that. I'm hungry, do they have food here? Fuck, my head hurts. I thought to myself. "Miss Burke- are you listening?" he barked at me. I blinked my eyes, "Please don't call my mom."


    I swear I didn't start it. That bitch had it coming. Ugh, what a mess.. Maybe I should go back a little? It was a two days ago, Saturday, 11:09 pm...


    I felt his cold hand grip my thigh as his warm lips pressed against mine. My ears rung with the sound of my heart beating, all I could heard was pounding in my chest, and the radio; which played Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Rey. He ran his hand up my shirt and continued to kiss me. I pushed his hand away, kissing him back. I watched as he leaned back though, "Nicole, c'mon." he whispered then kissed my neck. There it goes again, my heart, pulsing. "I can't." I said, wrapping my arms around his neck. He pushed me away though, and for the rest of the night we sat there awkwardly in his car.


    Earlier this morning was when it started..


    I entered the school, confident and a bit cocky as usual. People gathered around me, I raised an eyebrow, not prepared for what was next. My friends pushed the crowd,"So.. How was it?" one asked. How was what? I wondered for a moment. All eyes were on me as they waited for an answer. I didn't think about what I was about to say, but I said it anyways.. "Good." Everyone laughed and carried on with their conversations. At that moment, I went from off the grid to the school whore. I was all everyone was talking about. It's crazy how fast rumors spread in high school.


    Later, as I walked down the hallway, I felt their stares burning into me. I watched them whisper and I knew it was about me. I glanced at a group of juniors with a couple seniors, they growled at me. "What the hell are you looking at, slut?" one junior slashed at me. I was taken back a little, I knew people were saying things behind my back, but no one had said anything to my face yet. "I-I wasn't." I said, then continued walking.


    I bit my lip and shuffled to my next class, taking my seat, I pulled an English literature book from my back pack. Soon the room was filled with chatter. "I heard she gave him aids." whispered one girl to another; "I heard she got herpes." said the other, and the two laughed together. That wasn't what set me off though.. it was her. Melody Snyder. I watched her stride into the room, taking a seat behind me. I heard her cough "whore" at me-but I ignored it. "How was it?" she spoke up. I tried to ignore this too.. "Is it true you gave him chlamydia?" Melody asked. I took a small breathe and began flipping through my book. "Skank." she barked at me. "What the hell did you just call me?" I asked, slamming my book on my desk and standing up. The class suddenly got silent and the teacher gasped, "Miss Bur-". "No, what did you just call me?" I asked, glaring down at her. "I didn't say anything." the girl hissed. "Sit down Nicole." the teacher said in a stern voice. Glancing over at the teacher, I took my seat again.


    At the end of class, the bell rang and everyone scattered from the room, pouring out into the hall. I was leaving the room when Melody pushed me, "Slut." she coughed. I hit the lockers hard and banged the side of my head. "You bitch." I growled, rubbing my head. I dropped my bag and ran over to her. My fists clenched and teeth grinding I glared at her, "What did you call me?" I asked. A small smirk grew on her lips, "Slut." she said, moving her lips slowly to be dramatic. I drew back my fist and before I knew it I was sitting here, in the principle's office.
