Skar laughed and stared at Silentwater, his mind churning.

Nightwalker snarled at the two rogues as they turned around and fled. "Faunafur," he meowed, "Are you okay?"

"Good," meowed Nightwalker, "I... would be angry at myself if you got hurt." A wave of embarassment struck him and he shuffled his paws.

"Still," meowed Nightwalker, lying down next to her.

Skar looked at Silentwater. "Silentwater," he meowed quietly.

Nightwalker purred as well.

Bloodleaf padded over to the new apprentice, 'Welcome Ravepaw," she meowed.

Redwing padded around the camp, his paws itching to run. But run where? There was nothing to do. It was a lazy afternoon.

Skar shuffled his paws and burst out, "I like you!"

Skar almost purred but he was mentally whipped with memories. "You can't," he emowed, "You shouldn't." He got up,.

"Silentwater," meowed Skar softly, looking at her. He turned away and hissed, "Because everyone I love dies." He got up and padded to the oceans edge.

Skar was silent, staring out over the waves. "I had a family," he meowed softlty, "A mate. Kits. Two, only 2 moons. They were killed." He looked at Silentwater with wounded eyes, "I couldn't let the same thing happen to you."

Skar looked down into the water and saw a silver she-cat. She nodded and padded away, stars lingering in her fur. The vision faded and Skar looked at Silentwater and nodded.

Skar purred anduzzled her affectionatly.

"Sure," replied Skar, bounding after her.

Skar jumped in and looked around fro Silentwater.

Skar slapped the water with his paw and laughed.

"There you are!" meowed Skar, laughing.

Skar laughed and splashed her back.
