    Now Flick was a male. In the past, you'd think that he would take her turkey. In fact, half the females probably wouldn't even be able to hunt anyways, or have such large prey. But now, with Skull's god Oceanus, he'd given Wrenches and other girls. Unless they were Loots, you'd be punished for stealing a she-cat's food. "Greetings." He whispered.

    Glancing at the bird, he shook his head. "It's alright. I've already eaten, plus you caught it fair and square." Any cat would easily notice she was a little hostile toward him. It could've been for a number of reasons. The tuxedo was both taller and larger than the she-cat so he could harm her. Flick was known partially for his bloodthirsty actions and viciousness when it comes to battle. Or Catava may still be scared of men in general, the Skulls had only recently changed it's rules.

And all of Skull's she-cats were stuck with this fear, fear to let loose. Turning over to June, Flick sighed. "I'm sorry. I've only gotten used to your...freedom...myself. If you would like to growl at me, go ahead." The tuxedo wanted to let her know one last thing. This was a one time only thing, and something that she would be lucky to do, considering he was in authority over her.

    The yowl was plain and clear. June, just about his only female friend-y-ish person, had been calling for a reason. Most might notice the giant beast at her feet first. But no, Flick (although he'd never admit it) turned straight to look at her face. The hell was she thinking! The former pretty female was stuck with a half of disgust. Dismissing the eagle, it was amazing be right now he could care less, the tuxedo made his way around it and in front of the she-cat.


    "Dammit, June! Why would you do this? Your face, holy Oceanus, your face!" He didn't mean it with any rudeness, but only concern.

    He didn't even hear her words, her stupid pitiful words. Leaning back on his haunches, the tom raised his paws and gripped her face. The tuxedo turned it from side to side, examining her injuries. Usually self-conscious, Flick may have straightened up as soon as someone else had arrived. But when it came to June, he'd never understand why, she was more important than his own appearance.


    The shanghai was never more happy to see his old friend in his whole life. The second-in-command was a former Herb and he noticed the serval was already collecting herbs. "Oh, thank Oceanus." The tom rasped, eyes wild with emotion, anxiety and worry. "Damage, Damage do you think you can fix her?" The question was brief as he turned back to the Wench, trying to wipe off blood with a Beech leaf while muttering; "You stupid girl. You stupid, stupid girl!"

    The tuxedo nodded. White cheeks suddenly flushed, the tom looked away. The hell was wrong with him? First he's actually being kind to a female, and now he's embarrassed to be near her? Recovering himself, the shanghai turned back with a look that seemed to involve only himself. "Sorry, June..." Her name felt funny on his tongue, "I'm not real used to this...um...conversating with, ah, women." Flick meant the last word in as least rudeness as possible, if that was possible.

    First of all, even being on the beach was a bad idea. Second of all, being near an entire ship holding all of Skull's inhabitants was just plan dumb. And thirdly, running toward it is just about the worst plan someone could ever have. So we have to label Tamaki as one thing: A retarted dumbass.


    But of course the Akita didn't know, so Flick would give him some slack. The semi-high postition, if a normal cat, may have been a little cautious about being near a dog. But as a kitten he'd spent several moons with a German Shepard and had even learned their language. Being rather large and about the same height as the canine, the shanghai stood in front of his path. Standing tall he started, in a loud and clear voice, "You, dog. You've trespassed onto Skull territory." Observing the other animals in the sand a bit distance away, the tuxedo continued. "Unless you and your family wish to join this anti-clan, you're going to need to leave. If you don't, precautions will be made." Raising a paw, sharp obsidian claws flashed out. Hopefully he got the message.

As soon as tiny teeth got close to his pelt, Flick shoved him off. "Good, that was better. Now show me the hunting skills you have." His voice was low, calm and even. He didn't want Del Vallo thinking the tuxedo was expecting something.

    Ignoring the younger tom, Flick turned his attention back to her. His muttered words weren't meant to be mean. In fact, it was in a soft tone that was just reminding her that it was a stupid idea. She should've run away, then she couldn't have gotten hurt. "Sorry, June." The tuxedo told her as he watched her flinch. "I'm just..." He could barely throw the word up, it was probably the first time he'd ever said it or meant it, "worried."

    Seeing as things were going better, Flick snapped out of his 'trance'. Replaying over all the dramatic measures, he straightened up and backed away from the female. The shanghai still had some tugging feeling in his gut, in his heart, but he shoved it away. A cat would have to be blind and deaf to not realize he somewhat cared about June. So, he came up with his best option; a coverup. "Good. Things are getting taken care of. We wouldn't want to-ah- lose one of the few Wenches we have!" To those who disliked him, the awkward sentences would've been enough to laugh at.


    If Flick wore a suit, he'd probably be straightening his tie about 20 times right now. He tried to push the dangerously emotional thoughts away, but one popped out. Now the tuxedo was feeling guilt. He got selfish and was caring more about his appearance and reputation than about the mutalated friend of his. Gritting his teeth, white paws backed up ever more. Flick just couldn't take all of these bottled up feelings.
