As normal, Luna was sitting alone with Pika, a leaf from the bush in her hand. She was blowing into it softly, producing a wonderful sound. The little Pikachu began to sing slightly along to the music, following the girl's lead.

It was a tradition of theirs, as they called it. She played, he followed, getting lost in the tune. Although it wasn't always a leaf, it was sometimes a flute, it was always the same. Different notes, different tempos, different songs. It didn't matter what she played, he always enjoyed it.

Her eyes were closed as she moved her fingers gently, each note flowing differently, though the support was always constant. She loved it, he loved it.

If only her family could be here to hear it.

Kaiya looked over to Multi-bear, her yellow gaze not leaving the animal. It had multiple heads, so many that it was hard to tell if it was male or female. "Multi-bear, huh? Kaiya. Or, as they call me, SCP-8425." The name rolled off her tongue, as she had heard it many times before, but it was bitten off at the end with disgust. "The one playing the leaf over there is SCP-9963, she's sitting with 9941. I don't know their names, don't ask me. Folkvar over there might know. If not, maybe he can ask her."

Luna had finished her song a little after Multi-bear had come up to her. She jumped a little, as many skittish people and animals do, before realizing it was an Ursaring-like creature. "You liked it too..?" she asked, tilting her head.

Pokemon usually liked her music, but this wasn't like any other Pokemon she had seen, and its behavior certainly was unlike any other she'd seen. Her blue eyes blinked as she studied the bear, wondering if it would be anything like a real Ursaring or its pre-evolution, Teddiursa. "I know Pokemon like leaf whistle music... Do other creatures like it as well?" she mused to herself, blinking slightly.

Kaiya gave a slight sigh towards Multi-bear. "Sorry, I just hate these... numbers...they identify us by. It makes us seem like lesser beings." From her past experiences, she absolutely hated numbers, especially the one branded on her back, scorched into the flesh painfully to identify her. Subject 85. Disgusting.

Kaiya huffed, having just awoken, shaking her head. "Another emergency so soon?" she said, before jumping through the portal as Hunter went back to the quarters. However, he spotted Tiana's room empty. His head tilted, and he sat obediently waiting for them, something he only did when he knew the group was out somewhere and someone was missing.

"Palico Ranch?" She came through just in time to hear the order. "Alright, got it!" The ghoul rushed over to the ranch, watching Neutrophil rescued Ottika, as he said his name was. "Alright, now that we got that settled, we need to evacuate, got it?" Her voice was unnaturally gentle for a situation like this, but she didn't want to overexert herself while her eye still recovered. The blood still dripped slightly, but it was indeed much better. "We gotta get away from the flood!"

"Joey will be strong, like Mama and Daddy!" the young girl said, excitement evident in her voice. "I'm sure he will be, Megan, but we should probably get back. It was nice to see you again, and I'll come back for another visit."

    "Don't get hurt, Mommy...!"

    "Come back soon."

"Buh-bye!" Megan, before she let anything else happen, rushed over to Giffany and smiled. "Keep Mama safe!" she said, her blue eyes looking into the older female's pink ones expectantly.

Luna blinked as she watched the others drink... whatever that was. It wasn't water, it wasn't anything she'd ever seen before... So, what exactly was it?

"What's that? Can I try it?" she asked Folkvar, pointing at the drink they held. "And I have one for the game! I don't know what words to avoid though..."

Pika sat next to his partner, looking up curiously as well. Anything Luna didn't know, he surely didn't either, having been raised together. "Pikapika?" he asked, also seemingly wanting to try the drink, although Luna shook her head at him to avoid him getting sick. Anything Pokemon couldn't drink would make her sick, too.

"I've never seen it before, either, but I won't try it." Kaiya said, looking at Luna. "Why not?" said blunette asked, also tilting her head. "Well, maybe it's because I'll get sick if I eat human food. I can't drink anything but water and coffee, either." "Ohhhh..."

If you would like more info on her Persona I would be happy to provide it! Also I will add another character in a bit!

Sitting on the beach was always one of Kiyomi's favorite things to do. Not that she got to do it much anyway, as was the life of a Palace infiltrator. It felt nice to feel the sun on her skin, the warm sand, hear the sounds of the ocean and the seagulls...

Then her golden gaze scanned the others. Most unusual, she noticed, but nothing like the Shadows she'd faced in the past. The one who looked most like one wore chains and a branding. "Hmm, most interesting... He's outside of a Palace, though, so he must be human." Figuring she'd never spoken to anyone here before, she decided to try and make a good first impression.

Feeling her feet sink into the sand as she walked, she had quickly reached her destination and sat back down. "Hey, figured I'd come talk to someone here. What's up?" she asked, her red hair shifting to the side as she tilted her head, offering a friendly smile.

//On mobile so no text colors, apologies!

“Definitely much better than usual!” the female replied, nodding. “When I’m not hunting down Palace rulers and infiltrating them, I’m always happy to take a break, especially from my job and school.”

It wasn’t often that she was allowed to go to places like this, as her father required her to be there most of the time helping with the animals. But, seeing as she took two of them with her, she was able to talk him into letting her.

“Lilac, you don’t have to hide, sweetie.” she said, stroking something in her bag. “Come on out and say hello!”

The timid expression of the chinchilla was very pronounced as she stuck her head out of the bag. “Good girl. It’s okay, you’re not gonna get hurt.” Taking a raisin from a container, she held out her hand, allowing the small animal to eat it as she wrapped her tail around her bottom half.

“This is the only way I could go anywhere. Dad cant take care of too many pets on his own, so I brought Lilac and my rabbit, Cypress with me. That’s part of my job, taking care of them, so it isn’t hard.”

Rafiel had already unpacked, and still wore his t-shirt and shorts as he walked down to the beach, red beanie atop his head. There weren’t any people he recognized here, but he figured that as long as no one figured out what he truly was, it couldn’t hurt to make friends, right?

"The Heir?" She'd never heard of something like that before. "I mean, I know royalty has heirs, but I don't think they'd put others in so much danger..."

However, his question caught her interest. Had it not been for Miraak, she would have answered, but the startled Bigby seemed to cause her to lose what she was going to say. However, she turned to the Dragonborn, glaring at him. "What was that for? He didn't do anything to you." She couldn't trust that people who agitated others would tell the truth, but her hand was on her phone, ready to activate the app that distorted cognition just enough for her Persona and Palace-specific abilities to be useful.

Rafiel was taken by surprise as Stiles bumped into him. "Oh, it's alright!" he reassured him upon the apology. "I'm a bit clumsy at times, too..." However, before more could be said, he heard another voice, one belonging to a female.

"It's a little too hot for something like that, isn't it?"

Trying to keep his composure, the young fire demon shook his head slightly, putting to use the lie that he would use constantly. "I'm used to wearing it in the summer, it's kind of like... a security item." It wasn't technically a lie, now that he thought about it. But, it wasn't exactly the whole truth either, was it?
As if on instinct, the boy grasped the edge of his beanie, which was a bit scrunched up, and stretched it out a bit, hiding even more of the mess that was his hair. But, to any other, it would just seem that he was adjusting it, as he soon did to the skull charm hanging off the silver chain. "I also wear it because someone very special gave it to me." That wasn't a lie either, but again, didn't reveal why he was hiding underneath it. He hoped he didn't seem suspicious, but it was indeed a low chance.

"Oi! Stop that!" the Persona user growled at Miraak, feeling her rebellious side arise."Lilac. Back in the bag. Alright, Conundrum, we've gotta be careful about this guy." She seemed to speak to the mask on her face that had appeared on her face upon opening an app on her phone. "Don't hurt him! It wasn't his fault. Now, Mediarahan!"

As if she were connected to Kiyomi, Conundrum, as she called it, used a technique on Bigby, trying to help with the shocks he went through. "You wanna fight, tough guy? Try hurting him again and I will not hesitate."

Her stance unfaltering, she glanced over to the newcomer. "Eh, he just got startled and smacked him, and this jerk attacked. I'm gonna try to teach a lesson, as anyone who has been done wrong should do."

Geez, he didn't have to be so rude about it. It was the job of a Persona user to help people out, especially if they were being wronged, no matter how severe.

Without a word, the redhead recalled her Persona, picking up her bag and holding Lilac in her arms. The small animal seemed to sense what her owner was feeling, so she rubbed her soft fur against Kiyomi, a ghost of a smile appearing for barely a second on the girl's face, but it was soon replaced by her irritated expression once more.

Whatever. If he didn't want her help, she'd just go where she was accepted; alone with Lilac to watch the ocean. She plopped herself down in the sand, plugging in her headphones and playing music softly, but just enough to drown out other voices. She could still hear the waves, and tried to focus on Lilac's soft fur as she snuggled her.

It didn't matter, as long as she could calm down. People usually accepted her help, but she wasn't at home anymore, was she? It was different here. Well, Conundrum, I guess we'll just have to step back whenever people have conflict this time? Despite the rebellious Persona seemingly fighting against it, the girl's emotions seemed to strike a nerve, causing it to calm down. I am thou, and thou art I. We shall come to a compromise. We will only help when asked.

PlummyPlums Here it is, the private thread! Before we start I just need some generic information on your character, like so: I simply need a name, a gender, an age close to my character's, an appearance, what their abilities are, and the type of work they do. If you'd like, you can add trivia.

In this world, most peasants are born with one or two enhanced abilities, while nobles and royalty usually have a sort of power on top of it.

I'll put my character in a spoiler:

//I love him, he's so precious ^^ Anyhow, here we go!

"Lady Violet, please, your father will be cross if you do not begin today as normal."

A soft sigh escaped the young woman as she stretched, her soft pink eyes blinking open. "Good morning, Liliana," she said, smiling gently. "Yes, it is a fine morning, especially on the day of a dinner party."

"Oh, right, that is today!" she said, realization flickering in her gaze. "What time is it?"

"It is eight o' clock, Lady Violet. The party is at five. Now, pardon my rushing, but what color would you most desire today?"

"Blue, please." Knowing it was Alec's least favorite color, she wanted to wear the wonderful ocean blue dress she had been given as a gift. At the maid's selection, the young woman's face seemed to light up. "Thank you." "It is my pleasure."

After dressing, Violet followed Liliana downstairs, meeting her parents for breakfast. However, all they spoke of was the dinner party, and, much to the blonde's disgust, Alec Squire, the very man she was engaged to. Arranged marriage, just to pass on abilities, it was nonsense. Had her father not been looking, she would have made a face. No matter how much she despised it, she had only a few more years she could keep up the engagement before she had to marry. Although the culture allowed for inter-class marriages, ladies were expected to marry anyone they were arranged with.
Well, so long as the man did not allow anything else.

All she could do now was wait for her friend and almost-exclusive footman, Denver.

“Good morning, Denver,” the two women greeted the footman. At his question of whether or not she would like him to accompany her, she gave a nod. “That would be wonderful, Denver.”

Seeing her daughter so happy to have Denver with her, Josephine couldn’t help but smile softly. “Now remember, as always, keep your composure whenever you are out in the town,” she reminded them, as was customary every day, “and especially at the party. You remember Alec’s family is coming, too.”

“Yes, Mother, I understand.” A hint of disgust was easily concealed in the sweetness of her usual tone, so it was indecipherable. “What time shall we return by?”

“Please be back by before three. You have about seven hours before business.”

“Alright, may I be excused?” the girl asked, seeing as she was finished.

Her father nodded. “Yes, you may. Your mother and I will be helping with preparations until you return.”

“Thank you. Denver, you may finish any tasks you were assigned while I prepare my purse.”

Violet had her purse over her shoulder, a wonderful shade of turquoise. She had just finished walking down the large set of stairs as Denver asked his question. “Yes, I am ready. We may depart now.”

It was a daily tradition to go into the town on a walk, and ever since she had received her Russian Blue kitten, Azura, she’d taken her along. “May we go to the shops today, rather than the park? I’d like to see what is there.”

Sure, she’d been attacked and nearly caught more than once, but she always loved to wander and look for new jewelry and dresses, and maybe a few toys now and then.

    Here she is!
