    I have Etchapaw, who might be interested in this as part of an upcoming plot. He's Fadingstar and Neo's son, and brother to Hollowpaw, former SnowClan MCA. There are a few things that have to be sorted out with him right now, but if you're interested, I'll let you know what happens :)

    Ic: After quite a while of tedious, rapid digging, a satisfying crack! was heard as the tree fell down, making a sort of bridge out of camp. The rats around it were stunned, paralysed with fear, but only momentarily. Bounding up onto the tree, Whisperpaw yowled, "SomberClan! RETREAT! ESCAPE ON THE TREE!" Jasper stayed where he was, a little unwilling, but ready to help if needed. Whisperpaw rushed forward to help Lynxstripe and Darlingkit across the tree, her eyes filling with worry as she heard the kit's squeal. "What's wrong!?" She asked desperately, though realising soon after that it had been a bit of a stupid question. "Nevermind... Just get her across, hurry!"

    Well then, for a wild guess, that hadn't been that bad. A proud little smile crossed Etchapaw's face as he looked up at his mentor. He guessed that she hadn't really intended to make him uncomfortable, really. He could almost sense it. It was a little bit surprising how in tune to these things he was. Though, her shivering did confuse him a little.


    Shrugging off the embarrassment he had felt earlier, the apprentice stuck his nose into the air, opening his mouth slightly just as Opalshard had said. She had no reason to feel unsure about her words, really, for she was helping him to gain confidence. Inhaling deeply, and doing his best to smell past the damp snow scent, he tried to identify the scents of SkyClan. The funny thing was, though, that he had already come into contact with a SkyClan cat before in his life.


    "It's weird" He reported eventually. "The air smells... Fresh, I guess? And definitely not as cold as over here." He wasn't sure if that was what his mentor had wanted to hear, but it was all he could figure out at the moment.

    "Oh, not mean, exactly..." Surge began, smiling in spite of himself. It felt weird to be opening up even this much, but... He considered Progress a good friend. She could be trusted, right? "The others don't take that much notice of me, I guess. Like they have no faith in me. Do you know what I mean?"

    Well, that was good enough for him. Jasper set off for the Northern border once more, his black pelt unusually matted and messy from the havoc that the rats had caused. He really didn't even know where he was going, never having been around the territory before, but managed to locate the border by the overpowering stench. Collapsing, he drew in a few shaky breaths. From what he could see, he was one of the first cats to make it; quite a surprising feat, really.
