Whitefrost patiently awaited the arrival of her apprentice. She was ready to do some training and she couldn't wait to get started. The she-cat lifted her ice blue gaze up to the sky and prayed to Starclan for a successful training session with her new apprentice, Whitepaw.

The stallion arched his neck in a friendly and respectful nod, his black mane moving along with his bent neck. "My name's Mississppi. It's nice to meet ya, Desray." He pawed with his hoof at the ground, nickering his friendly greeting. He had never been rude to anyone, ever, and he didn't plan on starting that anytime soon. Mississippi was too much of a peacekeeper to be rude to others.

Wildstripe stopped walking suddenly, his ears perking, his tail lifting up to stand on end. He closed his eyes and inhaled for a minute. Once he was positive the prey he smelled was alive and closeby, he opened his eyes and turned to look at Larkpaw.
"There is a field mouse just over to my left in the reeds. Can you smell it from here?" He wanted to know how well her sense of smell was, as well her reaction time to determine which smell matched which prey.

Lionsong and Sparrowtail turned to look over at the others. The tom's golden ears twitched with uncertainty as the she-cat's tail flicked in anticipation. Sparrowtail enchanged a look with Lionsong, who seemed to read her expression.
"What are badgers doing near the Thunderpath?" asked the she-cat in a loud whisper.
Lionsong shruged his shoulders and replied softly, "I'm not sure. It's unusual, isn't it?"

Hopepaw's smile quickly vanished and her eyes widened, startled by her mentor's sudden question. "I-I was just imagining what it will be like when I become a warrior." The smell of the two carcass drifted up and taunted her scent glands and tastebuds. Her stomach had been awakened by the aromas of the fresh kill.

Bearclaw and Darkfoot charged back towards the others quickly, Bearclaw's shouts for his apprentice booming among the loud noice of the fighting. Darkfoot managed to slip into the battle of the two fighting cats and grab the apprentice by the scruff of his neck. Pulling him away, Darkfoot trotted over to where Bearclaw was sitting, an angry expression on his face.
"Bloodpaw, you have training to worry about! Let the warriors deal with spiteful cats like him." His voice was dripping with venom, not all of it was for Bloodpaw, though.
Darkfoot lowered his haunches to the ground and curled his tail around his paws, glaring at the Royal with a look that could freeze a wildfire. Bearclaw looked over at Burnout and snapped, "What are you doing taunting apprentices? He has training to go to for Starclan's sake! As a Royal, shouldn't you know what the most appropriate thing to do is?"
From his spot beside his friend, Darkfoot let out a chuckle, enjoying Bearclaw's rambling at the Royal.

A huff of understanding escaped from the warrior's lips. "Of course, Burnout is the start of all and every trouble, isn't he?" Bearclaw shook his head, not believing how disrespectful that cat was. "Well, with Burnout keeping you back and all, I won't blame you for your lateness."

Hopepaw grinned excitedly. She as going to get to eat her first kill! The she-cat lowered her muzzle to the carcass once she thanked Starclan for her meal and bit down into the fresh meat. The taste sent a wonderful rush throughout Hopepaw's body. She had never tasted anything so good before!

Crowheart watched the apprenticewith full attention. Once Fangpaw turned to the right, Crowheart avoided the tackle by rising up on his hind legs and cuffing the apprentice on the ear. Giving him a hot hit, or a bat to a cats ear, which causes it to turn red from the heat, he lowered himself back down to all fours. "Focus on the hint of surprise. Your attack was very straightforeward, but I could too easily anticipate your moves." The warrior stepped away from the apprentice, making them stand at the same distance as before.
"Try something you don't want me to expect. Think about how you can use my swiftness against me."

Crowheart had no time to react once the apprentice had landed behind him. He spun around in time for Fangpaw to tackle him to the ground. The black warrior hit the dirt floor, sending up a puff of dust. A chuckle vibrated his throat as he pulled his head up to look at Fangpaw. "That was really good for your first time. That was a very good move."
Pushing himself up onto his pads, the tom shook the dust out of his black pelt. This apprentice is promising... thought Crowheart to himself. A fast learner he is, indeed. In know time, he will be able to prove himself to me that he deserves a warrior name.

Crowheart immediately saw an opportunity to teach Fangpaw another lesson. As the apprentice struggled breathing the whirling dust, Crowheart leaned up and pounched ontop of the apprentice again, rolling him into the dirt. Instead of pinning him, Crowheart simply stood over Fangpaw, looking down at the tom.
"Being a Windclan warrior comes with its advantages and disadvantages. One of those disadvantages that you will need to get used to real quick is the reason why I was just now able to attack you so quickly: dust. You will need to learn to see through it and hold your breath with there is too much blocking availability for fresh air. But, you have to learn this on your own during battles." Crowheart once more stepped off the apprentice allowing him to get up.

Bearclaw scofted as Darkfoot roughly plopped the apprentice down on the ground in front of his mentor. "Believe, me," said Bearclaw to Blacksmoke, "he will be doing something useful. Were going to train."

The black tom simply lowered his haunches to the domain and began grooming the dust off of his pelt. "I'm going to call it a day, Fangpaw. It was your very first day of training. You got to see half of the clan's boundaries and I hope, if atleast something small, that you learned something from battle practice." Crowheart lifted his gaze to look at his apprentice as he stated, "You are doing excellent. There are the occasional minor things that you can tweak and correct, but other than that, I can atleast tell you that I see a bright future ahead of you." The warrior stood and looked down at Fangpaw. "Let's go back to camp and we will take a good nights rest. You'll be fully recharged for another day."
