The air was sweet and cold against his feeble body that had just entered the world, blinded from all the sights and voices that surrounded him. The sterile red tabby savannah mewed out in protest as the harsh desert wind wrapped our him and blew against his thin sheets of spotted fur, sending a shiver down his spine. Newly named Hinterkit was born close to his sibling Musickit's body, and soon enough he was wriggling around in an attempt to snuggle up beside the other newborn with mews erupting from his throat. He was a complete stranger to this world of madness in BloodClan; so unsure about what was going on yet he didn't seem to mind the chatting that was going on. He attempted to suckle after another lousy crawl to his mother's stomach, mewing once again.

"Woo! Let's go to SunClan!" Energetic Hinterkit bounded across the desert in great strides as if he were in a wobbly trance, not at all taking into consideration that cruel BloodClanners were probably patrolling the area as they spoke. His large paws were kicking up dust as he looked left to right, rather excited about this little trip that him and his siblings were taking to find their massive serval father. You see, he was an optimistic tomcat and strived to see the good in all opportunities. He did want to stay with his dear mother Mairead and sister Dearlea but it seemed that his tense wanderlust was dragging him towards a life of adventure and fantasy. After all, apparently SunClan had a beach! Oh, Hinterkit could only imagine all of the fun and games he would be able to conduct during his little expeditions. Even just meeting his father Permafrost was going to be a huge accomplishment in life; he had never met the albino serval yet a part of him tugged at his heartstrings at the thought of a possible father-son relationship.
Hinterkit scuttled around in the sand a bit, chuckling as dust clouds puffed upwards before quickly dying back down once he stopped acting like a wild bronco. The kitten looked towards Buttercup with a toothy smile before looking back down at the ground, only to openly gasp in surprise as a small, almost beige colored lizard zipped over a rock. Hinterkit plopped down onto his front elbows to watch as it scuttled away, leaving tiny imprints of its prints in the sand that were quickly blow away. The sterile savannah bounced after the tiny reptile with large paws and a hearty grin.

Hinterkit had followed behind his group of siblings as well, being a bit late and behind due to him following around a lizard and curiously sniffing at the gorgeous flora that grew here by the coastal region. It was so different from that harsh desert land that the spotted tabby had managed to escape from with his siblings. He would certainly miss his mother and two siblings more that the moon and the stars, but travelling was exciting to Hinterkit. He liked to be adventurous and a bit daring; perhaps that would lead him to a road of good or bad some day.
Hinterkit perked up those tall, cone-line ears of his as he heard Buttercup talking to some strangers that branded the scent of SunClanners and the salty seaside. Naturally curious, the kitten bounced up forward in all glory and grinned ear to ear, tilting his head a good couple degrees as he spoke. "Oh, is daddy here? Is daddy here, Buttercup?" The son of Permafrost and Mairead questioned, looking towards the smoked tortoiseshell before turning around to face a hugely massive serval, pelt as white as the snow uptop a wintertime mountain. "Oh, boy! Are you my daddy? Perm...Permafrost?" It took a good second of just staring upwards at the albino before he spoke in that innocent voice of his, golden eyes dilated almost double their size in immense interest.
-
Hinterkit chuckled in a high-pitched tone as the lizard scuttled under a large rock, attempting to paw at it's scaly tail for a few second before he realized that his other siblings were already on the go. The red spotted tabby squeaked lightly, lashing his tail and bouncing up energetically to his feeble paws. Time to go! "Bubye, BloodClan!" The innocent kitten's voice rung out as he darted quickly after Buttercup and the others, faintly spotted tail wavering behind him like a colorful banner.
-
Hinterkit seated himself by plopping down on the beach sand, letting his grin slowly fade into what seemed like a completely intrigued look. His golden eyes flickered back from cat to cat, ears twitching to and fro as he listened with intent interest as to what they were saying about his mother, Cataclysm and BloodClan in general. Being a generally carefree youngster, the fact that the two clans were literally at each other's throats didn't really bug Hinterkit. Instead, he chuckled lightly at his father's first comment, wanting to make smalltalk with the deputy. "We're not tired, silly!" And with that he leapt onto his sturdy savannah legs, stretching them and letting the sunlight warm him before bounding here and there to gaze at the cats that had gathered.

Thanks, Feesh! <3IC:
Hinterkit stopped dead in his tracks as Permafrost angered up, shouting over at his half brother, Codekit. The red spotted tabby kicked up some fine sand grains as he halted with sloppy moves, ears turning to listen to what his father had to say next. The youngster didn't understand why the large serval seemed so uptight, yet it brought to him a thought that would keep him puzzled from probably the rest of the day. The thing was, he had so much do do now that he was part of SunClan! Beaches and coasts to explore and lots of funny creatures to follow around. There didn't seem to be as many lizards as there had been in BloodClan, but seagulls and other water-loving birds seemed to claim the area with their high-pitched squawks.Anyways, Hinterkit's sweet gold eyes turned to see that Codekit had a small little tear rolling down his cheek. This seemed to sadden and dampen the optimistic tyke's mood, and before long he was hobbling over with those lanky legs of his and that goofy smile. Hopefully he'd be able to make friends with those supposed half-brother of his. After all, friends were everything! "Hiya, I'm Hinterkit! Who are you? Do you want to be friends?"
-
Hinterkit frowned slightly as young Codekit scuttled away back to camp, tail tip twitching against the ground before he just shook the thought out of his mind. Surely there'd be plenty other young kits wanting to be friends? Hinterkit just adored having friends to lean on, that was for sure. Perhaps he'd even be able to get closer with some of his other siblings and perhaps even his father (who he was already very intrigued by, to be honest). He already thought that Permafrost was a great paternal figure and he had only just met him. It surely seemed that the savannah was a quick to judge tomcat, hmm?
Hinterkit's spirits raised as Parapaw, an apprentice, beckoned for him and his siblings to follow to the medics for a check up of some sort. He curiously trotted over with large paws, grinning towards Parapaw and following after here. "Hi! I'm Hinterkit! Where are we going? Are we going to camp?" To the SunClan camp?" Those large, honey comb eyes of his gleamed as if they were polished bronze, pupils dilating widely.

Hinterkit was absolutely loving the territory and new home that he now lived in. The waves crashing against the rocks and sand brought a peaceful frame to his busy, rather obstructed mind of fantasy and fun. The sand the sugar-coated the beaches was great fun to frolic about in and the little critters that lived up high in the trees and bushes made the sterile savannah smile in glee. He was a sweetheart kitten, that was for sure. Yes, a bit wild and careless, but hey!
Hinterkit poked his triangular head out of the nursery with a wide grin creeping up onto his maw, noticing that his father was chatting with who he thought was his half sister or just another kitten. Considering she had called him 'daddy', however, they were more than likely related. Hinterkit stumbled forward on energetic and excited savannah paws, toothy grin shining brightly. "Hello, daddy! I like it here in SunClan! Do you think mommy's going to come visit us here?" He chuckled light-heartedly before he began to twirl around in a trance, flailing onto the ground before he quickly regained his balance and noticed that Camelliakit was walking away. He trotted after her casually, vigor showing clearly. "Hi there, what's your name? I'm Hinterkit! Permafrost is my daddy!"

Sure, Mercy! c:IC:
Oh boy, Hinterkit was enjoying all the attention he was already receiving! So many kits and apprentices seemed to storm to his side and greet him, and it was obvious that his kit-like golden eyes dilated widely to express his happiness and elatedness. He first turned his head to Codekit, grinning brightly at the kitten he had met only a while ago. "Hiya, Codekit! I like it here in SunClan! We should explore together some time." His voice was high-pitched and childish, matching those sweet little eyes that looked as radiant as the fresh marigold that grew close to the border. He had even spotted some bundles of marigold on his way to this beach clan and had taken some time to sniff around it and pick a stalk or two to play with while he trotted along.Almost immediately after he talked to Codekit his head turned back to face his half sister Camelliakit with an upbeat smile and handsome kitten eyes. "My momma's Mairead! She's a real sweet momma and - oh, hiya Bells!" Hinterkit was distracted as his rather sheepish and low-key sibling arrived, greeting him and the others in a stuttering voice. The red spotted tabby, on the other hand, was excitable and energetic. Another kitten, Nalinkit, also showed up and greeted Hinterkit casually. Hinterkit's mouth gaped a tiny bit to reveal a set of shiny kitten teeth, glee just shivering down his whole body. "Hiya Nalinkit, I'm Hinterkit! Boy, you look just like me!" Hinterkit took to second to look down at his beautiful spotted red tabby savannah coat before looking over to the other tomcat to admire his mackerel stripes.
-
Hinterkit, on the other hand, seemed to be blinded by the hatred and anguish in the world. He was a peppy little tomcat; a perfect replica of a happy-go-lucky puppy with his head stuck up in the clouds. he trotted out of the SunClan nursery with his spotted tail held high and his chest puffed out, mind reaching out and longing for adventure and fun. His golden eyes looked up to look at the high cumulus clouds that roamed the milky blue skies, puffed out like cotton bolls. The sea brought in a peaceful breeze that ruffled his red-tinted fur a good amount, causing the childish son of Permafrost and Mairead to let out a brief giggle.
Hinterkit's ears unblocked and his mind came back to reality, and before he knew it he spotted each and every one of his half and full siblings battling it out in a bloody spar that he left Buttercup hurt badly. The sterile kitten let out a sudden shriek, eyes dilating and his whole world turning upside down. Painful shrieks lingered in his ears and the youngster felt his muscles tense up, causing him to just stand and shake as this all took place. Why were they fighting? Why where they hurting each other? Why wasn't everyone happy? "Stop it! Stop it! Daddy, make it stop!" Hinterkit wailed in frustration and confusion, seeing his albino serval father scuttling over to stand behind a large rock. Hinterkit emitted a long whimper as he curled up, covering his head with his tiny front paws to make it all go away.
-
Hinterkit let another giggle easily slide out of his mouth before he could stifle it, large orbs turning to face another sweet serval kitten. He began to bounce around he with such vigor that it made his own head spin, energy just waving off of him. He was the one for adventure and fun, that was for sure! Hinterkit halted in front of Aveline and stared up at her curiously, tilting his head and speaking her name in segments to make it easier for him to remember. "Oh, that's a pretty name, Av...Ave...Aveline! You look like my daddy, but different."
-
Hinterkit's little body shook violently as he heard his own father brutally attack Phantomkit with so much anger surging through his veins. He didn't want to see any of this; he had just wanted to go out and explore and have some fun time during this sunny day, but it seemed that he had stumbled upon this anguishing attack. Sibling vs. sibling, quite frankly. It made the red spotted tabby want to cry out in confusion as he lifted his head to see that Permafrost was calling everyone together. Line up flank to flank? It didn't seem very friendly to the half serval kitten. What was going to happen? Spanking? Anger? More fighting? He didn't want to see that and quite frankly he didn't deserve to be in this position. The youngster seemed to have arrived late anyways.
But he crawled out from behind the large rock, spotted tail sweeping under himself and his head hanging low. He tried to avoid eye contact with his siblings, fearing that one or two (or quite possibly, all) of them would suddenly lash out and maul him just as that had done with poor Buttercup. Hinterkit let his lip quiver as he stood to the side, joining in the line and aiming to send his father a half-hearted smile of compassion and understanding. He just wanted to be happy and optimistic in life, to be honest.
-
"Daddy, is he going to come back? Is the meanie going to come back?" Hinterkit looked up once again after staring at the beach sand for the few seconds. His lip was quivering and his whole body was shaking violently, whole optimistic frame of mind switched to an utterly confused and worried one. He didn't want his siblings or half siblings hurt at all. He was a loving youngster and wanted nothing more than eternal happiness and the company of a few good friends. With that Hinterkit trotted over to his serval father, attempting to bury his face into the older cat's fur and silently sob. "Please don't let him come back, daddy."
-
Hinterkit's maw curled onto a serene smile as his father softened up to him, purring softly. It was nice to see that Permafrost was protective and understanding to his kits; he had killed Phantomkit to save the rest of them. And Hinterkit looked up to his father oh so much as if the albino wildcat was the moon and the stars. "I love you, daddy." The spotted savannah purred lightheartedly as he too joined the line that Permafrost had told them to form, standing beside his sister Polaroidkit and passing her a sweet smile of compassion.
-
Hinterkit accepted his punishment with a simple nod of his scruffy head, whiskers twitching lightly. He technically hadn't joined in on the fighting ad hadn't actually been there to witness most of it but it didn't seem fair for him to stay out of it and let his other siblings be punished. After all, the hotel did have a good amount of places to explore, correct? At least young Hinterkit would have something to do during those three extra moons of being a kit. But hey, being a kit was fun! Hinterkit always seemed to want to look on the optimistic side of things and ignore the bad. "I understand, daddy."
When his angered father began to use his powers and when Elvira began to scream, Hinterkit once again flattened his ears against his skull and whimpered loudly. The red spotted tabby coiled his tail, brushing it against his pelt and gritting his teeth to try and stop the pain with a barrier. "Daddy...you protected us. I love you for that. I love you, daddy." He stayed seated to avoid getting scolded but whimpered silently to himself as his father sobbed.
-
Young Hinterkit, surprisingly, had taken his punishment to heart and was abiding by his father's words by staying in the hotel at all times. He had seated himself near a broken window, staring out of it contently and trying to ignore the twitch in his toes that urged him to go on an adventure of some sort. There was just so much to do, from sniffing around the abandoned swimming pools to skipping along the coastal beaches. His breathing was silent as he casually hopped down the windowsill to return to the nursery, that sneaky little glint shining in his eyes like polished gold. He seated himself down, tail flickering about as he searched about for any of his siblings. Perhaps they were interested in playing, even after that little scuffle?
-
"Hiya guys! What are you all doing here?" It was the squeaky voice of Hinterkit that rang out as he stared up at his large sibling, whom was sitting atop of the wooden lobby desk. The spotted tabby giggled to himself with such childish happiness and bliss, whiskers twitching as he hopped on his two back paws. The savannah tried to scramble up onto the desk using his front paws to heave himself up, but simply ended up scratching into the wood and dangling there like a limp rag doll. He chuckled humorously once again, gritting his pearly whites whilst he struggled about, swishing his hind legs and trying to climb up onto the desk. He was a big kitten for his age but it was no doubt that young Hinterkit here was a bit clumsy.
-
Hinterkit, continuing to act carefree as usual, eventually heaved himself up onto the desk with a relieved sigh. He flickered his flaming spotted tail about against the hard wood as he awaited for everyone's arrival, rather curious as to why Permakit was calling everyone together. His golden eyes were glinting with such might and curiosity, and it was obvious that the young tyke was a bit impatient. He began to giggle a bit, eyes flipping from one of his savannah siblings to the other.
And that was when Permakit announced his mother's death. It caught young Hinterkit by surprise, and it was obvious that he had been taken aback, judging by how his lanky shoulders tensed up and how his dark pupils suddenly dilated. "Mommy's d...dead? Mommy's dead?" He said, repeating himself once after stuttering due to the sudden surprising shock. He had always loved his mother, even if she had been a traitor to SunClan, his new home clan. And with that he began to bawl, simply sniffling to try and calm himself down.
-
There was a sudden scrambling of tiny paws as a certain savannah kitten stumbled forward with his long, lanky legs. A grin was spread across his face and his pearly white teeth where showing right then and there, his mind in true bliss. This was Hinterkit: a happy-go-lucky, extremely optimistic young son of Permafrost and Mairead. He had been grounded from leaving the beach house ever since the little incident with his siblings, but he simply shrugged it off as another opportunity to make friends and look around at what the beach hotel had to offer. And so here we was, tail tip twitching about as he skipped around this kitten. he was a sweetheart and obviously wasn't shy at all around strangers. "Hiya! Watcha up to? I'm Hinterkit!"

Live in the hotel was great for the playful son of Mairead and Permafrost. He had plenty to do, ranging from playing about on the patios to rummaging around through the broken closets that were placed in each hotel room. Today he had chosen to do the latter and was already eager to do say. Days had been long ever since he had been grounded to the hotel with the rest of his tussling siblings, but being a natural explorer, Hinterkit here always managed to find something to do. An ear-to-ear smile was present on his maw and his golden eyes gleamed as if they had been constructed of pure solid gold as Hinterkit trotted up the stairs with some trouble. His heavy savannah paws thudded lightly against the cold floor as he trotted onward through the hallways, poking his head into a seemingly quiet hotel room. The window that sat high up against the wall was smashed from harsh weather and abandonment, wind rustling in and shaking the tattered curtains.
A pair of glowing golden eyes dilated as Hinterkit examined this empty room; it smelled musty and completely run down but already it had sparked up this tomcat wanderlust. The red spotted tabby, his paws twitching restlessly as he skipped towards an ajar closer, curiously tilted his rounded savannah head and continued to grin. He pawed at the door, chuckling brightly as the door opened completely with a creak that proved it was old and worn. Hinterkit's handsome optics searched the wooden closet, noticing that a few scraps of wrinkled up paper had been scattered about with some small strips of cloth. But that wasn't what had interested Hinterkit here. What did interest him was the dusty tan-colored scarf that hung from a metal coat hanger about half a meter up. His mouth gaped wide and he let out a squeal of excitement, glad that he had managed to come across something like this that would keep him entertained for hours at a time. The kitten of Mairead and Permafrost clawed gently at the scarf until it feel from the coat hanger, dragging it out of the closet to examine it with an acute tilt of his head. Perhaps this was from the previous tenants? Well, it was Hinterkit's now.
