Vanillapaw flipped onto his own side, facing Birchstripe as they lied on the ground. The ground they lied on felt soft due to a thin blanket of newly-sprouted grass. The landscape of the training grounds was always beautiful, especially in the spring. It was clear and open with bushes of various flowering plants that produced a soothing aroma. The Pendant Tree was easily detectable from the area as it stood tall, giving off glows of thousands of colors as the Sun hit it at the perfect angle. The training grounds were generally peaceful since it was hundreds of yards away from the noisy Campgrounds. It was the perfect place to linger with the cat he loved.

"Thank you, Birchstripe..." Vanillapaw looked into Birchstripe's olive eyes, contrasting with the garnet pendant wrapped around his neck. The lean, handsome tom could have chosen anyone to marry, but somehow he chose him; a mere apprentice. Vanillapaw desperately wanted to be promoted to warrior if not for his own sake, then Birchstripe's. He knew that it must feel strange for the council member to be reminded that he is married to a trainee. It's degrading. The white tom had to make Birchstripe proud even though the latter's words made Vanillapaw feel self-assured. "I love you."

Sleepingwaters

Even though Sleepingwaters was well adjusted to the slightly cold water, he decided that it was best to get out. Clearly the small water fight wasn't catching Crowtalon's captivation. "Perhaps we should get out now." the calico suggested already swimming towards the bank.

Cocoasplash

Cocoasplash looked down at Hollykit and Halfface from up above in StarClan. She cursed to herself as she still hadn't completely trusted the dead tom. Halfface could corrupt Hollykit in the worst possible way imaginable. Since Cocoasplash died before she could raise Vanillapaw fully, Hollykit was like her son. She couldn't bear the thought of Halfface and Hollykit's relationship. It wasn't because he was a Dark Forest cat, no. In fact, Cocoasplash became well acquainted with Halfface's mother, Bloomingrose, another Dark Forest cat. It was because of Halfface's countless, unforgiving crimes.

Cocoasplash dashed toward the cave that separated StarClan from the GemClan territory. In StarClan, she was safe from harm, but once she stepped foot on GemClan territory, she would be vulnerable to any Dark Forest cat that wandered the area. She hesitated a moment to continue until she spotted Moonfur in the midst of StarClan. "Moonfur!" she called, her voice high with worry. "Hollykit and Halfface are together. Would you help me take him back to StarClan?" she asked.

At some point in the night, he had relocated from his room to the outside, but that didn't alter his drowsiness. Suddenly, a bug made its way into Geoff's throat, and he awoke immediately in alarm. He lifted his upper body up and coughed until the pesky insect exited his mouth. He cursed to himself in a whisper, realizing there was no point going back to sleep.

Evelynn awoke a minute before her alarm clock beeped, as usual. She groaned in frustration when she realized her alarm clock was out of arm's reach. What's the point in setting my alarm when I'm just going to wake up before it goes off? ..Now I have to get up and turn it off. She twisted her body and heaved herself out of bed, exhaustively turning her alarm off like she had just finished a 5k. She stretched and made herself look less repulsive by taking a shower and doing her makeup. Not that anyone would care since the city was enclosed in never-ending darkness. She put on her clothes, earrings, and glasses before heading out.
